I had the best and most delicious Indian meal of my life sitting in my car at a food truck parked at a London, Ohio truck stop. I know it sounds nuts! But wow, this lady can cook. She's so nice and friendly, too. Well worth a drive from Columbus if you love Indian food and adventures! I had the mutter paneer, bestie got the Shahi paneer. We both had the enormous and delicious stuffed roti - almost steering wheel size! Curries came with generous portions of rice and we got chai tea as an accompaniment - the tastiest I've ever had. Still good, just not amazing. The mac salad was unique- lots of mustard and pickle flavor, and in fact some pickles mixed in. Different, but very good. The tea was good, but not sweet enough for us. The lemonade was just okay. Service was super friendly and fast. Prices are reasonable. I'll definitely be watching for them at other events. Each day he has smoked brisket, pork and often has smoked turkey that is oh so juicy. They also do specials like smoked sausage and something called a ripper dog that's smoked then deep fried! It started with jalapeño cornbread as a base, then pulled pork topped with a homemade bbq sauce that had a little zip to it, next was macaroni and cheese, then brisket and topped with coleslaw. The coleslaw was just a mild slaw. The Brisket was phenomenal, very moist and tender with a nice smoky taste. The Mac and cheese was a baked version made with Velveeta which was very tasty. The star of the show for me was the jalapeño cornbread that was the base. A nice sweet corn flavor and add in some jalapeño bits. OMG!!!! On to the people behind the food. Wade and Kara Nichols. Super nice people. They started the truck in April. They are using a blend of hickory and cherry wood pellets for the Brisket which is smoked for 18 hours. The pork is smoked for 12-14 hours utilizing apple wood. The Bbq sauce is homemade and is available to purchase. Great food and I will definitely be back to check out more. I parked my car and walked over to the food truck, and I was lucky to literally be next in line. I ordered the recommended lobster roll from the fine gentlemen that was doing the serving. I also ordered a water because it was rather warm. I gathered my lunch walked over to a picnic table, nearby and sat down to eat. My first bite into the sandwich or roll as they label them was literally a shock to my memory, it took me back to being in Maine many years ago and getting a lobster roll at a restaurant. Now I know my memory is not what it used to be, but I can honestly say this was a freaking delicious lobster roll. I ate the entire roll, wiped my face with a napkin at the table. And went up and told the server behind the counter how good the food was and that I can't wait to literally find them close by again. I will admit, I did not eat all the potato chips, because I didn't need them, but they were also good. I just read on Facebook where they're going to be in Westchester on July 20 now I need to find out where because that's literally five minutes from my house.
