They have been around for a long time. I get takeout or buffet once a year on average. They have really been upping their game lately (12/2025). I think you have to figure out what dishes are done well at each Indian Restaurant, rather than order your favorite dish everywhere you go. Their Nav Rattan Korma and Goat Vindaloo are as good as it gets. They will make it hotter than most other Indian restaurants are comfortable doing too. If you had them in the past, give them another try. read more

A group of about 6 of us went for their lunch buffet & they were very respectful and quick to get us seated. The establishment is clean and looks nice. The food was just okay. Not bad but not the best Indian food option in the area. The chicken was a little dry, all the curries very very oily, and the flavor of everything was just...a little off. The mixed biryani was my favorite and the lamb in it was really tender got it a spice level 3 next time would get a 2 the nan was also good. The employees were nice and moved us to a different table after realizing what we order wouldn't fit at our table but the food took a while to come out. read more

Excellent dining experience! Tucked away in a shopping plaza on Sawmill, you will find that Amul India has it all. The interior is very spacious and there are plenty of seating options. My group was seated in a comfortable booth and we were there at lunch time so we were able to take advantage of their delightful buffet! The buffet has so many options to choose from, both vegetarian and non. Everything I tried was delicious. Prices are fair and the staff is kind and helpful. I wanted some Indian food so we decided to try Amul's since we were in the area. I got the lamb curry, regular spicy. Richelle got the Shrimp biryani no spicy, of course. I love lamb curry and Amul's did not disappoint, yummy, I always want a little more , the bowl went back wiped clean. Richelle had never had biryani before, me either, it is an amazing rice dish, yum! The garlic naan and roti were delicious too. This was the first time having roti too, it's another flat bread, you can look up the differences, it just means at Amul's you have two fantastic flat breads to choose from. Service is friendly, the place was spotless, even after a lunch buffet crowd had been there.. We will have to plan better next time to get to try their lunch buffet. They are not getting 5 stars, only because to get 5 stars, I should be served so much curry that I need a to go bowl, it never happens, ha, ha. read more

I was looking for an Indian buffet in the Columbus area and Amul was recommended to me. The interior had a lot of seating and the buffet selection is in the back corner. There was a separate station off to the side where they have samosas, puri, etc. Such a unique buffet offering that I really enjoyed. Great selection! Veggie pakoras, saag paneer, chicken makhani, etc. The highlights for me were the goat curry, tandoori chicken, and the pani puri. The service was great. Every time there was an empty plate in the room or a low glass of water, someone came around to take care of it. Buffet lunch on a Saturday was $18.99. A bit pricier than what I'm used to, but worth it! read more

Best Indian in town- I drive 30 minutes each way! Paneer Tikka, any lamb dish and chicken Tikka are all favorites.

Brought this in awhile back for a game night with friends and it was a crowd pleaser! Generous portions, no matter the entree, and fairly affordable. Lots of variety and man did we take advantage of that! They were far too generous on the rice helping - and overall, each sauce had a really unique flavor to it that made each bite an adventure! Stopped in for an amazing meal. It was fast service and just the right spice level. I got spice level 3 (which was not too spicy for me - a true medium/mild). We got the onion naan and it was so good, but I'm still a garlic naan fan. I tried the shahi paneer and it was great but I did get some bites of raisin. I'm not a huge raisin fan, but I was able to put that to the side cause the cream sauce was perfection. It was my first time trying paneer bhurji and it was amazing. It was a neat spin on scrambled eggs if I could describe the flavors and texture. It had some veggies sprinkled and chaat masala. It might have been better has an appetizer. I ate it solo and couple bites did it for me. My friends had it with rice and naan and ate it like a main dish. read more

The lunch buffet had so many options to choose from! They have a lot of different kinds of curry, as well as samosas, pakora, panipuri, and even mango ice cream. If you're not a buffet person you can also order single dishes too! My favorites were the tandoori chicken and the palak paneer. The naan was warm and dishes were refilled promptly too. The samosa station where you can get loaded samosas, was a great option but the pani puri toppings were lacking and the sauce was a bit too sour. The mango ice cream was a nice touch and was surprisingly very creamy although it looked like a sorbet. Servers were efficient and on top of drink refills as well. Overall it's a good deal if you want to try a little bit of everything since you can get so many different options! read more

Amul India is my FAVORITE Indian restaurant. They were the first Indian restaurant I had ever tried and remain my go-to when I'm in Columbus. They used to have a lunch buffet before COVID and I think they brought it back which is such great news. I love their curries and different assortment of bread. They also have a samosa station and plenty of appetizers and desserts. The pictures are from when I ordered off their menu and not the buffet. My favorite is the Paneer tikka and chicken tandoori. We ordered from here (via Uber eats) after seeing all the amazing reviews and were so shook when it arrived. Firstly, it takes forever. Secondly, they forgot one of the items we ordered, i.e. Kheer. Thirdly, their portions are so small. Like the biriyani box easily fit in my palm. Chicken tikka masala was alright. I could taste the tomato part, like it wasn't cooked until "rawness" went away. Kadhai ginger lamb was really good, nice rich flavor. Lamb biriyani, butter Naan and rice were alright. Decent Indian place, but we might just go pick up next time to ensure we get everything and can eat quicker. read more

Really good Indian cuisine! Some of the best in the Columbus area to be exact. The workers are always very kind and friendly and the food still tastes great when delivered. I was in the Dublin area running errands and was deciding between this place and NeeHee. I had already had NeeHee's, so I decided to try this. I know that this review is limited by the fact that it was a lunch buffet meal. So it's not a full sit-down, full entrees, waiter bringing you food type of situation. But, I really enjoyed my lunch. There were plenty of veggie options, which isn't something you see at many Indian lunch buffets. Aab, to be honest, was very lacking in this department. Also the bonus was the complementary masala tea, or chai, available. I had the mattar paneer, yogurt curry, vegetable biryani, and saag paneer. Naan was good and crispy. The food was pretty mild, so I asked for a side of green chili to spice up my food. Amul is across from the Sam's Club. The interior is nice, and the waiter was courteous. My water glass was constantly topped off, and it was just a good, solid meal to have on a rainy, tornado-possible day. The lunch buffet price was $15.99. I think all the buffets have had to hike their prices. Independent restaurants need to survive. Otherwise, you lose something that is hard to get back. I think for the amount of food I ate (two plates), $15.99 was more than reasonable. That being said, I did have major food coma afterwards, haha. Next time, I'll bring my girlfriend and we'll do a nice sit-down dinner. read more

This has been one of our favorite Indian restaurants since moving to Columbus several years ago but last night it was really off- almost to the point that I wondered it was under new management. First, the dishes did not come out at the same time- absolutely no continuity in service, Finally, when my Chicken Tandoor arrived, it was lukewarm at best and extremely dry and tough.. In addition they never did bring out the rice. I could not locate the server but when he showed up he was gracious in taking it back- I just then shared my wife's Chicken Bryanni. The other thing different was that the Kishmiri Naan was now priced at $7.99 up from what I remember it used to be at $4.99 (I believe a couple of years ago). Not sure why this was the case. All in all it was not the pleasant dining experience we have typically had there and I hope this was just a one off experience. read more

I haven't dined in here but have ordered takeout several times. It is always a winner. I've tried the samosas, shahi paneer, dal makhani, garlic naan, mango lassi, gajar ka halwa. All of them minus the samosa are good. The samosa is fine with the chutneys but find them to be pretty boring without that. The portion sizes are also pretty hefty. I appreciate the generous rice portion. I just wish the container they serve it in is slightly bigger because rice ALWAYS spills out of it and it drives me crazy. You can pick a spice rating for all for the dishes and I always go medium. The perfect amount of heat without masking the flavor of the dishes. The naan are also well cooked and despite it being takeout, holds up decently. They also do a great job of labeling if you're doing a group take out order which I always appreciate. read more

The buffet was not refreshed as often. Some trays were lukewarm or cold, and while it had good variety it was less variety than normal. Lacking options on dessert too. They used to serve gulab jamoon here on buffet but no longer do that . For almost $20 cost with tax , it is not up to its old standards they had before covid. It's disappointing. read more

The food here is authentic and consistent. They have a 1-5 spice level with 5 being the hottest. I always get level 4 and enjoy every spicy bit. The strip center it is located in seems a bit sketchy but for Amul (and Moretti's) I can get over the location. Clean and top notch service every time read more
