Tried their buffet and was honestly impressed. A good spread covering both North and South Indian dishes. That included tandoori chicken, paneer, biryani, dosa, chaat, and much more. Flavors were solid, not overly spicy or oily. I absolutely loved their assortment of the desserts like mango ice cream and ladoo were a nice finish. The naan was soft, curries had depth, and they were refilling fresh. The Dosa counter was a good touch too, with freshlymade Dosas. Not your average buffet--it actually felt thoughtfully put together. Worth a visit if you are craving variety without compromising on quality.

    One Indian feast to go!

While I haven't eaten at the restaurant yet, I will remedy that soon. What I can tell you is that their food is out of this world when delivered to your home for a birthday feast! My brother and I have always lived far apart as adults, so we send each other feasts on our birthdays. This year's from Awadh was one of my favorites! My bro got me two naan breads, chicken tikka masala, dry chili chicken, Kung pao potatoes, crispy 65 paneer and two desserts. It was amazing! We loved everything and the paneer 65 was the standout of the night. All were exceptional dishes! The Gulab jamun and rice pudding desserts were perfection. Can't wait to see how good it all tastes on-site, but I'm here to vouch for their delivery!

I am not sure why it took me this long to review this place. I have attended birthday parties, catered food for parties, dinned in and came for buffet and did take outs. Did it all and the food nor the customer service ever failed. If you like Indian food then this place is a must!! If you are hesitant about Indian food and don't know what to order, then I recommend you come for the buffet. They have so many different dishes to try, from veg to non-veg items and desserts. I have tried many dishes from here but few of my favorites are the Samosa Chaat, Mutter Pulao and chicken korma. I don't even like chicken korma, but I look forward to their chicken korma. Its that good. All their dishes are very flavorful, fresh and they are very generous on the portion whether you are dinning in or doing take outs. The place is always clean with cute décor. Great place to have a get together or to host a party. I highly recommend this place.

I have now dined at this location several times and under different circumstances - for sit-down dining, a birthday buffet, and a catered birthday party that we hosted. On all of these occasions, Awadh delivered above and beyond quality of food and service. When we last dined in, we ordered a bunch of different dishes - the Mutter Pulao, the Butter Naan, the Chicken Korma, the Vegetable Jalfrezi, the Chicken Hakka Noodles, the Samosa Chaat, and the Mango Lassi. All the dishes were flavorful and just the right level of heat. The portions were also generous. When we visited for a birthday party where the guests had access to the restaurant's buffet, we were very impressed with the variety of food options. The staff worked extra hard to ensure all the chaffers were refilled as soon as they were empty. Based on our two experiences above, we hired Awadh to cater for my daughter's birthday party. Archana worked with me on the menu based on our preferences. She was very mindful of our needs and constraints, and her recommendations were a hit with our guests. On the day of the event, the staff from Awadh showed up several minutes ahead of time and went about setting up the food. They worked tirelessly for the next several hours, and we received a lot of compliments from our guests about the quality of service they received from Awadh's staff. The food itself was delicious and tasted like it had just been prepared. Whether you are dining in, going to a buffet, or using them to cater a large event, I highly recommend Awadh.

Solid Indian food, friends and I went to town on the buffet and were pleased with everything. It's quite basic but I do say we were unusually pleased with the naan. Veggies were solid as well. Service was excellent, and there's plenty of parking. Ambiance is exactly what you'd expect, with a high ceiling and quite welcoming.

Seriously if you love Asian (Indian) food this is the REAL DEAL and shouldn't be missed. The lunch buffet is amazing and like no other. It looks good and plentiful, but more importantly it tastes incredible. Mostly vegetarian dishes, but several chicken and 1 fish option. Spicy and creamy, fried and steamed, baked and stewed. It runs the flavor gamut. Desserts included galub Jamon ( honey balls), rice pudding and cheesecakes. Well worth the $20 all you can eat. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This Powell location is the largest of 3 locations and the furtherest from downtown. ( it can be long drive from city center and those living on opposite sides of Powell) It use to be a Thai restaurant years ago. Decor is pretty much the same. Very spacious yet inviting. I can't believe how fast Chef Anand restaurants have expanded. There is the original on Bethel rd. and a fast casual on Sawmill near Mejiers. Fast casual bills itself as Indochinese. Will have to try in the future. Happy for Chef seemingly success in a tough industry. ** just discovered 4th location near OSU on Olentangy. It use to be Anand India Grill. Seems like they have taken it over. Must go back there and try it again!!!

Everything was good. The place was very relaxing and the waiter was perfectly attentive. My daughter had the chicken kadai and I ordered the chicken masala. We always share when possible. Both dishes were delicious. I highly recommend when in the area.

Tried their buffet. Dosa, mutton curry and one veg sabzi was good. Rest of the items in the buffet are average.

We started with the Chicken 65 appetizer (dry version) and the fish appetizer, both of which were packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. The chicken biryani was another highlight--aromatic, well-seasoned, and very satisfying. To finish the meal, I enjoyed a cup of their house chai tea, which was the perfect ending. Service was fast and attentive. Our server greeted us immediately, and both our drinks and food arrived quickly. The restaurant isn't very large, but when we visited on a weekday, it wasn't crowded, making for a comfortable dining experience. The naan & samosas were tasty, but our main events were flops and it the price of $12+ each, that's unacceptable to me. The Paneer Butter Masala has potential but it had a small cheese portion & no heat. The Chicken Saag had a little bit of spicyness but it's spinach texture was more pasty than creamy. We ordered these both Medium-Hot spice level on the Grub Hub app and that's not what we received. Let me tell you I am a west Indian but I have had way better dosa on a roadside stall than the Mysore masala dosa you'll served. Please go back to basics and learn how a Sambhar is made!!! The sambhar was a lazy attempt to boil a lentil with veggies without the tang and the spice in it. Finally discard or repair your furniture before someone gets hurt!!! I am giving you two stars as just the dosa without masala was good, if you'll take the laziness and cheap attempt to serve food out you'll can be better. Hope you'll improve!
