This is burned chicken, no more comment. It explains everything. If you have respect your business, you should not send this order

First time trying this dish and a wonderful surprise

We went to the Sunday special buffet today and what a wonderful experience. The first surprise was that the chai was included and easily accessible. It was delicious. All the dishes included on the buffet were flavorful and spicy to our taste. Many people might find it hot, but we didn't. The staff was attentive and owner was very friendly. I am currently certified in servesafe, which is a national certification in food safety. In the few times I've been here for Sunday brunch, I've never seen any unsafe practices. My experiences here have been positive. I'm also aware that the earlier you come to a buffet, the more food on the buffet table. Common sense indicate its poor business practice to keep filling bowls toward the end of the time. The staff and others in the restaurant are always friendly.

Tried buffet first time here. Though options at first glance looked nice but nothing worth when tasted. Everything was over spiced. Biryani was too much loaded with spice , directly hitting your eating tracks. Goat curry was the Only dish which was kind of OK. But overall , did not liked. Will not repeat.# Disappointed !!

I really loved this Goungura tandoori. Like the ambience and the service!! They were very patient in explaining the items and spice levels. Best authentic indian food in columbus!! I will definitely recommend this place

This place was just ok. Definitely not Cumin! We ordered carry out. The prices are much higher than expected and the sauces are kinda watered down. There was a definite lack of meat in the Tika Masalas. The chicken did not taste like it was cooked in a tandoori oven - it was an odd fatty cubed cut of meat. The chicken 65 had an odd thick fatty breading on it, but did have good flavor. The samosas did not come with any chutneys but were pretty good. I don't think their food quality is good- see the rotten lime garnish in my photo... yikes! All in all, I would drive further for better Indian food in Columbus.

After a long and hard day of shopping for my indoor gardening plans (it's still a plan) I headed here as this is one of the few restaurants that are open past 10pm on Saturdays and I was craving some Indian food. I ordered a paneer (cottage cheese) veg biryani. It was good as casual. I had reached just before 10pm. So the restaurant was relatively empty. So we could get service faster than usual.

My ratings today are especially for the two appetizers i have tried today and overall feel of the place as an indian restaurant! You have to order 1. Rayalseema Kodi Vepudu (Chicken) 2. Mamsam Roast (Goat) Apart from that pricing is a bit on the expensive side or i can say above average! I have tried it buffet too which is worth every penny :). So go try some near authentic indian(Andhra Pradesh styles cuisines) food here at Godavari! P.S. Andra Pradesh is a indian state in southern region.

    Just plain good Indian fare

I don't know what's up with the negative reviews but this place has never disappointed! It's elegantly decorated, the food is authentic well spiced and the price is fair. So don't miss this Indian gem! It's so good ;)

Very bad service. Forgot some items from order. Sent one order wrong. One item was tasteless like tap water. Chicken was very hard to chew.

The place is beautiful inside with lots of florals and the comforting smell of delicious food. We ordered the chicken samosa (2 pieces) and they were delicious. The chutneys that comes with the samosa is the perfect addition to this appetizer. Hubby ordered the mango lassi and it was so refreshing! We got the chicken makhani (butter chicken), chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, and buttered naan. Both entrees came with a nice portion of basmati rice. Everything was super flavorful! You're also able to choose your own spice level for your dish. The owner was such a doll. She was very sweet and made sure we loved our food. She wrapped up my food to go for me and gave us a free dessert to try (Gulab Jamun). The hospitality was amazing and we will be coming back when we visit Ohio again!

For anyone with allergies/restrictions, this is very concerning. Again, I asked one of them what the plum cake was made out of (because I never had one before) and not a single person was able to tell me. I thought that was very odd. The staff requires training in knowing the products being sold and the baked foods need proper labeling, as it will make it easier for the customers to order instead of going around asking what each is. I did receive an answer that the meat used is halal; however, I did question it as even the staff had to ask another person in the back for the answer to this as well. The gulab jamun cake I was excited about, but did not find it to be that great. Overall, I found the place overpriced. The goat puffs are $5 each and the chicken $4 each. The goat ones I found too greasy and had a goat smell to them still. I don't see myself returning with so many other Asian bakeries around.

Bottled waters were on the table but costed extra, so we opted to buy cold drinks from the grocery store. The guava drink was very sweet but refreshing nonetheless. I'm a big fan of Indochinese cuisine, so the Szechuan noodles caught my eye. I got a paneer version and even though I got it medium spice level, it had me sweating! I liked how it came with lots of chopped lettuce and onions for crunch and the paneer was cut into thin slices so it soaked up the spices well. If you love a good rice dish, biryani is the way to go. The masakali goat biryani with the hot spice level definitely had lots of heat to it. The meat and spices are kinda buried inside so make sure to mix it well before digging in. The gongura chicken biryani also looked very good so you can't really go wrong with these. Next time, I wanna try the dosa! A table next to us ordered some and they took up half the table The portions were large so you will definitely leave full or with leftovers! Once you are done eating, you pay at the counter before you leave. Service was pretty slow and it was very hot inside the restaurant because they had two fans but one of them was very weak. I might opt for takeout next time just to save time and for added comfort, but I was very satisfied with how the food was.

Also tried these chicken puff pastry things that were awesome. A cross between a puff pastry dough and a Jamaican patty, I was really surprised how much I liked it. Excellent service, very attentive. Nothing fancy but just a good experience. Hit the Mark.
