Recently I've gone after 5:30PM, which is nice because they are open until 6:30PM during the week. During my visits I've purchased stamps, mailed a package, and another time submitted a passport renewal. The gentleman that assisted most recently, took his time in answering my questions and helped me get everything in order prior to mailing. It was finished in 1939, the architecture is called Stripped Classical, the murals (Francis Foy) are lovely and artistically interesting. It's in the registry of historic places, deservedly. It's meant to be reminiscent of an ancient Greek temple. The workers here are great, but maybe not all of the customers so much. Nice selection of stamps, greeting cards, and packing supplies. What travels around the world and yet stays in one corner? A postage stamp!
