I arrived with a flat rate box which had postage on it and which was properly taped and was informed by a crabby employee that I had to "wait at the back of the line." "Everyone has to stand in line, even if you already have postage on it, we aren't allowed to just take it." No, apparently you hate your job and you're so miserable with worry that you are going to lose it due to post office closures that you want to make everyone GLAD that you are gone! After waiting 20 MINUTES in line - I was able to hand my box to the clerk - who tried to make up some half-assed excuse about how it was for "homeland security" or some need to track revenue. I told her that the USPS already tracked this revenue when I purchased the postage from their website and I was pretty sure that double-counting it wasn't an option. I asked her to produce something other than a hand lettered Sharpies fresh sign - more like an official order from the US Government which would be likely posted publicly - and she could not. What a rotten place to have to go as your post office! I bet the Postmaster General would be shocked by your local requirement - I hope that whoever came up with that has already lost his or her job!

We have had the earlier delivery from Tim, Chris, Dave and Rich at the earlier time but Nate, the new mailman comes late and on some recent days we did not receive delivery at all... told pulled off the route by Michele and/or Stephanie at the Erie office. We have repeated asked for the change to be reversed to the 25 year 4 hour time through Nate, but have not seen a change or communication. Anyhoo the kiddos made ornaments this year for family nearish and far since we haven't seen them with COVID and while we were three minutes past closing (again sir so so sorry we thought 5pm) the gentleman was so nice and sweet to us (and funny) just made us feel so much better and really not to be upset. I am so lucky that our local post office is so kind and willing to help especially during this holiday season where I know it's been CRAZY for them. I had a Poshmark box (which allows you to use priority mailing supplies). I forgot the tape to tape the label on the box. The representative told me that I would have to buy tape and wouldn't offer assistance. When I then used a priority box, she was able to use their tape. It just seemed wasteful to be legalistic about rules. I have had other employees that look tired and stressed out, which has translated into a less friendly experience. I will say that they are ok. No excuse for verbal abuse!!! Luckily, the young man who actually waited on me was professional and friendly. I have been going to this post office since the 1970s. In all these years, I was never yelled at as if I was a child.
