I arrived with a flat rate box which had postage on it and which was properly taped and was informed by a crabby employee that I had to "wait at the back of the line." "Everyone has to stand in line, even if you already have postage on it, we aren't allowed to just take it." No, apparently you hate your job and you're so miserable with worry that you are going to lose it due to post office closures that you want to make everyone GLAD that you are gone! After waiting 20 MINUTES in line - I was able to hand my box to the clerk - who tried to make up some half-assed excuse about how it was for "homeland security" or some need to track revenue. I told her that the USPS already tracked this revenue when I purchased the postage from their website and I was pretty sure that double-counting it wasn't an option. I asked her to produce something other than a hand lettered Sharpies fresh sign - more like an official order from the US Government which would be likely posted publicly - and she could not. What a rotten place to have to go as your post office! I bet the Postmaster General would be shocked by your local requirement - I hope that whoever came up with that has already lost his or her job!

This location only has one clerk on duty and normally that's enough. But when the line is stalled can't the manager step out from her office and help out? I was 7th in line today for well over 18 mins. The line did not move. The customer at the counter was buying a month's worth of money orders, insisted on paying only with exact change and was ridiculously slow. I finally left without buying stamps.

I think it's equally important to write a positive review as well negative when sharing…read moreinformation. I want to acknowledge what a pleasant experience I had today at this post office. I drove a distance knowing that this post office had a good reputation for being kind and efficient. I was stressed to get some important mail sent overnight. It's too soon know the outcome of delivery but the woman working in the office this morning did everything at her end to accommodate me and make sure she provided me with great service. She took the time to package my mail in a smaller envelope so it would be delivered to an apartment mail box and double checked all my information. This was the best service I have had in a long time when Simone goes above and beyond to help someone!
