I have had a PO Box here for years and they have developed their customer service and I have a wonderful experiences there. Currently they have structural damage, if you have a PO Box, you have to go around the building to the back and ring the doorbell any day after 11 AM to pick up your packages and your mail. PO Box mail is not being rerouted to the Annapolis Junction location. They have no way to even manage our PO Box mail if they did that. read more

One of the worst and most unhelpful USPS locations. There is never a time that the line moves fast the staff is always going slow and holding things up. They are very careless with mail delivery and when you go in to ask the post master is never available. USPS should really clean this one up there are a lot of customers in the area... read more

They say they'll bring the package back the next day, and they tell me to come to the office the next day, and the next day I go to the office and tell me not to unload the package from the truck and wait for the call again. I thought it was just me, but, I now see tons of others experience the same. Since 2009, I have called the PostMaster (now a different person) nonstop about missing mail and packages, and that of others arriving at my house. I have been missing official documents, payments, packages, etc., while my name, business name, and address are clearly listed on my mailbox, and my address is on my house, as well. Issues go unresolved and here it is 2023, and the WORST it has ever been! I've lost all hope receiving my mail and packages at my house at this point; the Postmaster is well aware of tons of complaints from me, but nothing is done about it. SMH read more

If you could not give any stars, this would be what I would enter. This is the absolute worst USPS location/staff. Rude, incompetent, just completely inexcusable use of Federal funds EVER. No business should ever even try to get a professional result out of this group. We moved our location, put in a forwarding mail order with this post office, didn't get the volume of mail we were expecting....went by our old location, dismantled the locked mailbox, only to find three weeks of mail stuffed in there. Gave the post office some undeserved grace that maybe it was too soon for the order to have taken effect. Fast forward 3 months...still missing mail but get a call from the business across the street, letting us know that we have a ton of mail being delivered to the old address. So much so that it's falling out onto the road, out of the broken mailbox. Go there and there is 3 months worth of mail; bunch of checks, bills, mail for other businesses, etc. Saying they suck is putting it mildly. Wish someone, actually in charge, would look (here) and see how poorly mismanaged and awful this location is. read more

This location is the worst. Especially for packages. The guy won't use the package boxes and just marks the package as delivered or the "driveway is inaccessible " . And going there to complain does no good. I wish they would just leave a slip and I'll come pick it up at the post office myself. read more

We never get mail delivery on Tuesdays but, that's not too bad we got used to it. But, today is Tuesday and we have not received a mail delivery since last Wednesday. We are a commercial location/business address right on route 175. Our customers tell us that they mailed checks to us over a week ago. This location should be shut down. Mail delivery is awful. Texts indicate that a package couldn't be delivered because they could not get in the access gate? What? There is no access gate in or near my property. I also get texts from Amazon saying a package has been delivered but it has not. I suppose they tell Amazon it was delivered on time so they don't lose business from Amazon. My street shares house numbers with the street behind me. Despite a completely different street name mail is often delivered to my neighbor on that street with my house number. If a slightly heavy package is expected the mail carrier will let it sit at the post office until another carrier gets stuck with it. One of the mail carriers told me this happens often. Our route does not have a regular carrier. Who knows who we get from one day to the next. I often see the mail truck backing up or turning around to fix some mistake they have made. Tonight I am sitting waiting, well actually gave up waiting for three days worth of mail. Through rain and snow - nah not in Jessup. While Amazon, pizza delivery, UPS and FedEx are delivering Jessup post office doesn't deliver if there's the slightest hint of snow. It's either time to shut this post office down or come in and clean house. Or a nicely worded email to the postmaster general sometimes helps. I sent an email years ago to the postmaster general. The Jessup post master called me up somewhat nervously asking me to contact him first so evidently that got his attention. But that's been years ago and nothing has changed. Our post man is the worst ever. Wrong mail every day. I stood out on the street for ten minutes last week waiting for him to complete his deliveries on our block, he clearly saw me and skirted around me even though I was waiving my hands to clearly get his attention. I went to the main post office after letting the phone ring for over 20 minutes without a pickup. I spoke to Mrs. Smith who I was told was the supervisor. I told her the problem and he told me nothing could be done because he was a vet. What war? On whose side? Yesterday and of this morning there was no mail at all for me or my neighbor. Did he get upset because I and many other people on our very stable block reported his poor performance? A written reply is requested. Better assign this guy to another route, far away. read more

I looked at my husband who's sitting next to me and said did anyone ever knock on the door, no he replied. As I explained to him the text I received I opened the door to find nothing. So I sat down, clicked on the tracking link to find "Your item was delivered in or at the mailbox at 5:15 pm on August 8, 2019 in..." The problem with this situation is that I have shoes that I'm expecting and a few other things however, I knew it wouldn't fit in the mailbox but I checked anyway to find NOTHING! So here is my issue. Last year I made calls in July to file a report/claim on our mail carrier at this same exact location. Last year I got married and was expecting all types of things in the mail and similar situations happened. My mail was being returned to sender, saying I wasn't home and so forth. Family members would even send cards and called asking if we ever received them (which we weren't)! The mail carrier is refusing to walk up the stairs. I live on the third floor and I work from home five days a week so there was and still is no excuse for this foolishness. Tampering with mail is a federal crime and I'm going to take it a step further this time. This is absolutely ridiculous!!! And I cannot believe a year later I am having the same issues!! The friendly personalities and helpfulness by the staff today made me wonder if I was actually at a US Post Office. But, I indeed was, and couldn't be happier! I stopped in with my passport renewal form and old passport and they were able to get me squared away to include a new passport photo ($15 extra) and immediately in the mail. They were personable and answered questions with a friendly tone and even included extra tips. I'm used to the Columbia PO where they give one-word answers whenever possible and really don't make you feel welcomed. I think I'll drive the couple extra miles to come to this PO from now on! read more

The postman stuffed a book in my little square mail box and I can't get it out without damaging it. He is the worst, I am not shaming, but he is heavy and absolutely hates having to put packages on the porch. Hell, he would drive that truck to the porch, if he could. I called the post office in Jessup, first time she hung up. Called right back, explained my issue and this woman had major attitude. I tried to lead with kindness by requesting that when they deliver mail today, could they just take it out and either put it on the porch or in the larger mailboxes that have the key. She said, I will just bring it back. I was like, back where?? WTH?? I told her, mam, we have the locker mail boxes for larger items or better yet, put it on the porch! She practically hung up on me. Very poor service. Woman behind the counter tried to charge an envelope as a package because I used a cloth like paper instead of regular paper in the envelope. I went to Columbia and they absolutely knew to charge as a regular first class mail envelope. What a scam over in Jessup. Also, the carrier consistently drops other people's mail in my box. Lucky I have good neighbors too since they drop my mail to me from wrong deliveries to them. This happens 2-3 times a week. read more

I was supposed to receive my medications in the mail yesterday via the USPS in Jessup, Md. I reside in an Extended Stay Hotel. I got an e-mail this morning that the package was delivered last night but the front desk said nothing was delivered for me. I tracked the package online and found a message from the mail carrier at 6:32 pm yesterday that they couldn't gain access. This is a hotel with someone at the front desk 24/7! If it is not delivered today, I will have to go through the laborious process of trying to contact somebody at the Jessup Post Office. I tried calling the 410 # earlier today and it rang 20 times with no answer. read more

I hate having to go to the post office and I avoid it as much as I can. Unfortunately, this post office doesn't have one of those self service machines that I can tolerate. However, they have really nice people working and the line (which is rarely long) moves fast. Getting out of the parking lot is often a hassle though. read more

Jessup's Post Office is always so convenient and fast! Especially now that they fixed the main road to be safer and easier to manage. If you stop by make sure you greet Louis! He is always super nice and helpful! If you are in need of tracking or something that makes you need to stand in a line to be helped, make sure you get there within the first hour of opening otherwise this place gets PACKED and finding a parking spot can be very hard. read more

Is it at someone else's house, in their mailbox, returned to the post office "at my request", delivered but not anywhere to be found? Who knows. Just absolute terrible service! read more

Couldn't be happier for a post office experience. Luis was working when I went in to get a passport phot and after ten min of waiting on someone else to come around (because there were plenty of people working) he was able to step away from others and assist me and seamlessly step back to help others. I then went back after work with my application and he again made sure I'd taken care of all steps and shipped such important docs with efficiency! Really appreciated the consideration and quick timing. Very happy customer!! read more

This is the worst possible post office. I put a stop on my mail for two weeks. At the end of the two weeks I received an email that mail delivery would resome the next day. I picked up my mail a week ago and so far I've received no mail. I tried calling but the line is always busy. My suspicion is they have removed the receiver from the phone so they won't have to answer calls. One other time I put my mail on hold, two weeks of mail was crammed into my mailbox. Another time they gave me a few pieces of mail and the called me after I returned home to tell me they had found more. read more

I'm never going back to this post office ever again! The only guy who works there (in his 50's) does not know how to value customers and treat them. In other words, he doesn't know how to talk to customers. I was not asking or demanding what I needed to be done. I just wanted to be treated like how any customer should have been treated. He gave me a crap about something that could've been done within 5 minutes. (Not even 5 minutes) He kept taking other customers (Each of them took more than a couple minutes) in the middle of providing service for me. I couldn't not take it. I didn't even try to argue because I knew he was going to continue to treat me like a stupid kid. I just could not take it. I left and went to the Laurel office. They had a really long line, but at least they didn't treat customers like the other guy at the small office. read more

This is the worst post office I've ever experienced. For two months now we've been having issues getting our mail, they repeatedly claim our mailbox is full which it isn't. They don't deliver packages and don't provide notification as to why they aren't delivering and if they are holding a package. Last week I knew they had 1 package for me so I went to go pick it up to leave with 3 packages that we had claimed as lost with the vendor. We've had our friends tell us our mail is being returned with a sender is no longer at this address and we're missing tax documentation that we've had to re-request from various vendors. Today I was suppose to receive a package and when I checked the delivery status it said it was being held at the customers request. I made no such request, nor did they attempt to deliver. I've spoken with staff at the post office and USPS customer service over the phone to no avail. I'm sending an email tonight and posting this to hopefully get this resolved. read more

I absolutely HATE this post office!! They are always misdelivering, and losing packages/mail. This seems to occur more often during the Holiday season. Every year I have to worry that i won't get my packages timely due to them delivery it to another house or not at all!!! I'm currently waiting on a package that was supposed to be here on Wed. I've contacted the in the past and spoke to the Manager and was told that my package was delivered to my address and they have cameras on the vehicles to verify, BS. If that's the case then why was the packaged delivered by a neighbor the next day. Another time i was told that it was delivered and the Mgr spoke to the mail person who said they left the package at my door step, REALLY. Out of the mail they deliver they can actually pinpoint where they left my package!!!!!! I had my husband to call this time and the very next day and i could clearly see that the packaged had been tampered!!! If I don't get my current package soon i am filing a complaint with BBB!!! read more
