It will take "3-5 days" now to sort and get to me. The company I bought this specialty woodworking product from is livid, as it makes them look bad. They were sure we would get this in time for Christmas. USPS said "it was ground delivery, so it takes more than 10-12 days". The last time I ksent something 2 day delivery with additional charges - it took 4 days... no refund, no apology, nothing! Is this delivery supposed to include or exclude USPS taking 15 days to go from Indianapolis to New Jersey? Then, it is an hour away and it will take 3-5 days to get to me? NO wonder the USPS is broke and failing - poor processes, poor communication, poor shipping/handling processes, inefficiency, poor accountability, poor customer service..... I will be requesting FedEx exclusively in the future. Time to boycott USPS and demand better service for the rates they are charging !!! Privatize the mail service - the feds can't handle it! This DOES NOT RELECT upon the local Red Hook mail deliverers - they have gone over and beyond to deliver packages and mail to our home this past month, as we have been not been able to do it ourselves. We appreciate the effort it takes to provide high quality service, which this clearly was not. No Christmas gifts tomorrow for that family member! So sad!

He called ahead to confirm his arrival window and showed up right on time - no waiting around all day wondering when he'd show, which I really appreciated. Modern appliances are packed with electronic parts that are often hidden and hard to access, making repairs tricky. Alex R handled my appliance's repair issue with patience, professionalism, and impressive problem-solving skills. He was also courteous, easy to talk to, and left the area spotless. It's rare to find someone who combines expertise, honesty, and great communication, but Alex R checks every box. If you need appliance repair, ask for him specifically - highly recommend!

We live in a world that's increasingly dominated by giant corporations. They succeed because they…read moreare everywhere, they often make it easy to shop with them, and because they can often undercut the smaller local spots when it comes to prices. I made the mistake of ordering a gas range from one of these giant corporations, and it turned out to be a giant problem. They delivered but couldn't handle the installation, and then they couldn't take the stove with them, and then the guys who came to pick it up were rude and caused more issues, etc. So I did what I should've done, and I called Earl B. Feiden, and they helped me out, and solved my problem. I got to talk to an actual person (thanks Ken!), and I laid out what I needed (a gas range in a non-standard size), and where the potential problem might arise (it needed to be converted to propane), and they handled it like pros. Sometimes it may cost you a little more time and a tiny bit more hassle (if you consider talking to an actual person a hassle, not a pleasure like I do) to go with the smaller shop, but I highly recommend buying local. It worked out for me with Earl B. Feiden. And in the end, the range I got ended up being cheaper than the one from the big box store anyway.
