Arrived at this UPS Store with paperwork printed from an email Apple Care had sent me. It ostensibly contained instructions and a QR code from Apple. It did not. Noah kept into action and saved me by going thru a couple of my past emails and finding the right incident code which, when entered in computer revealed the correct info and the iPad Pro was headed out 2-day UPS. If it weren't for Noah going above and beyond I would've been stuck on the phone and computer trying to figure all this out at home again. Exemplary employ. Thank you Noah. My return package never registered with them and I did not get my refund from Amazon. They have several phone numbers and not one person to answer the phone to resolve my return issue. The guy behind the desk said it would show up on my Amazon account . It didn't . I left a message for a call back and no one called back. Make sure you get a receipt for everything you drop off there no matter what they tell you. I only got credited for 1 of the 2 items I returned. Pick up and pack and invoice, and then ship an item. 200 miles away Their invoice price for UPS shipping was outrageous. Out of range of any acceptable pricing ....this is UPS, not a special delivery service... It's just UPS, not Air or overnight delivery... It's just UPS land. Unfortunately, I paid the invoice price of $500+ Delivery was by land and arrived 3 days later, and worst of all , poorly packed, but because it was not a fragile item, no damage occurred. I called to get estimates and from him answering the call the day before, to saying our goodbye the following day, he was the best service I've received in recent history. I shipped 3 boxes adding up to almost 100 lbs and it was reasonable. He informed me about overweight boxes and how the fee is insane so it was better to split into two boxes. I had the UPS Store in Kingston pick up a piece I'd won at a local auction house, pack it, and ship it. The porcelain figure was very large and delicate, and they did a meticulous, multi-layered packing job--paying attention to every detail and double-boxing it before shipping. Wow I'm surprised to see bad reviews, although some sound certifieably paranoid. I use the services in the Kingston store very frequently and am ALWAYS impressed with the services. Have I ever been there when they are understaffed? Yes but that is a national crisis. They work so fast when there is a line and it must be incredibly stressful for them but I have never once gotten a rude response. Then again, I approach all workers with respect, which I'm sure is more likely to elicit a good response as opposed to them being treated in a rude, demanding way. I paid them to ship to heavy auction items to me over 10 days ago. I tried calling multiple times and left messages. I do not have the expensive art pieces they were supposed to send and cannot get in touch with them. ANSWER YOUR PHONES. IF PEOPLE PAY YOU, SHIP THE ITEMS. Here's the fourth 1 star review of this store handling an auction house pick up and ship. Unfortunately I should have looked elsewhere for shipping but I know now. It took them 3 weeks to get the basic rolled up poster to us. We are a 3 hour drive away so we are close. It was around $65 for the pick up, pack, and ship. Crazy expensive, especially since it was just put in a poster roll and it probably sat in their back room for weeks. The only way I got them to actually ship it was make a desperate phone call and voicemail which they of course didn't answer. That's after emails that were unanswered. They then immediately shipped it and it was here within 10 hours. So clearly they sat on it until the customer, pushed to the limit, begged for them to ship it. The person was was "helping" (I use that term very loosely) had a name that started with K. I don't want to put that person on full blast just in case it wasn't their fault . But that's being generous in light of their communications with me. I couldn't imagine taking advantage of customers/humans the way they do but not everyone operates ethically. Just don't use these people, it'll save you a lot of stress. read more

I've shipped from this store many times over the years. They've made every transaction easy: Once I showed up with unpacked returns and a bag.. The employee took it all and entered the address from a a sheet of paper I gave him. Another took a USPS return label and used that. They answer questions readily, never showing any impatience. I sent sensitive legal documents overnight. They were lost. Despite repeated assurances that they would be delivered, over a week later, they have not been. UPS itself has no customer service representatives. You are stuck with dealing with the UPS store in Kingston. They give you great lip service, but are useless. I was told repeatedly, not to worry, that the package would be delivered the next day. Apparently UPS corporate ignores the. What is also problematic is that they require you to file a claim in order to trace your package. By filing the claim you are waiivng important legal rights. Despite my specific instructions to not to do, the store filed a claim and waived my rights. They did not show me the waiver in advance or explain to me that the claim had to be filed in order for my package to be traced which is ludicrous. If you are sending any documents of importance use FEDEX or DHL. I has had better experience with the Postal Service. read more

I'm sad to report the poor service that I received from this UPS store. I was referred to this store by a local auction house where I had won the bid on a few auction lots recently. The week following the auction I contacted this UPS store via phone to get a quote and get the ball rolling on pick up and shipment of my items. They were clearly slammed from the previous weeks auction and it was all they could do to take my phone number and take my email address to get a quote out to me because they were very busy. I waited a few days after receiving nothing from them and called them again and got the same hurried response that they were very busy and will get a quote out to me when they could. In frustration I contacted a nearby UPS store in Hudson, NY via phone to see how their service was in comparison. Both stores were close to the auction house. The Hudson UPS store was happy to help me and phoned me back in under 7 minutes with a highly accurate quote. I authorized pick up and shipment of my auction items and they were timely in picking up the items and shipping them to me promptly and safely. Meanwhile another week or so goes by and my well packed box arrived safely from the Hudson UPS store. And in my email inbox this same day was my quote from the Kingston UPS store. Sadly it took over two weeks to get my quote from Kingston and by then I already had my item in hand as shipped by Hudson. Kingston needs to beef up it's staff or work longer hours to keep up and kick it up a notch after these auctions or they will continue to chase away new customers. read more

Knowledgeable about the different packing and shipping options, besides UPS, they offer USPS services also. 10% discount on your bill with AAA membership card (and military ID (I think)) Quick in and out with quick quality service. I just had the best service ever at a UPS. In the midst of a giant rain storm we brought a bike and the shipping box, but didn't know how to prepare the bike for shipping. I don't know how long ago some of the negative reviews of this place were written, or how much of these customers' grief was brought on by their own stupidity, but I've been using this UPS location for years now and find it to be top-notch in every way. The courteous staff here are consistently eager to serve the customer in every way: I recently rushed in there with a package to ship, and hadn't yet even taped it shut nor labeled it. As I fumbled with my box, the still-uncut shipping label, my scissors, tape, packing slip, etc, the helpful girl behind the counter rushed over and said "I'll take care of all that for you!" I said "Oh no, that's ok, I still have to cut out my shipping label and put the packing slip inside and tape it all up". But she cheerfully chirped "Oh, I'll do all of that for you!" and proceeded to cut out my label, place my packing slip into a pouch and adhere it to the box, tape up my frazzled little package, and hand me my receipt - all in one fell swoop, and at no charge whatsoever! Wow. I walked out of there shaking my head in awe. This time alone, they've managed to surpass their usual helpfulness and kindness. Outstanding customer care here, indeed. read more

I ordered a painting from a local auction house and this UPS Store handled the pick-up, packing, and delivery to me (across the country). They were very responsive by phone and email. The packing work they did on the painting was very impressive, the best I've seen on an item like that. It was packed extremely securely and arrived in pristine condition. read more

Lame service. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place. I brought a guitar in a case and was the first customer on this particular morning. I paid $65 to bubble wrap and box it(ok, it's not that easy to find a box for a guitar). I was assured that the tracking number would be emailed to me by the afternoon and that it would be shipped out that day. I did not receive an email the entire day so I called the next morning to check status and make sure they had the correct email addres. I was informed that the packaging had not been completed but that it would be done that morning and tracking number would be emailed. I called back in the afternoon when I still did not receive tracking number and was told it would be completed soon. Finally, at 6:30pm (35 hours after drop-off) I called again. Todd put me on hold to look into it.. He then told me that he was emailing me the tracking number as he was on the phone with me. Thank you, Todd! I am revising my original review upwards because, in fairness, I posted my original review in a moment of frustration, without first contacting the store to give them a chance to explain or resolve the problem I encountered. After a few emails, Todd agreed that it would be helpful for him to clarify what and where some resources are available for staff to provide to customers. Kudos for being willing to clarify and solve problems, as they inevitably will crop up now and then in any business. The staff have always been positive, upbeat, efficient, and willing to help. I used this UPS store to ship items I'd won at auction in the area. Luckily I have no plans to participate in another auction with the auction house because they referred me to this UPS store for shipping. The auction was on a Saturday and on Monday, I called this UPS store to inquire about how everything would work out with picking up, packing and shipping. I was told I'd receive an email. On Thursday, I received a generic email saying something like "we're processing estimate requests and will respond quickly". I waited over a week and sent an email the following Friday to see what the status was. I received an email back almost immediately with the estimate and a note saying they could pick up and ship out that day, which was nice, but made me wonder why I hadn't received that sooner. I emailed the payment form back immediately and then never heard back. I sent an email the following Wednesday to make sure the payment form had been received. No response. So I called on Friday, a full week after sending in the payment form and nearly two weeks from my first call in. Betsy answered the phone and was short, rude and clearly not giving me even half her attention. I was disconnected after waiting on hold for over 20 minutes. When I called back and was transferred back to Betsy, she even told me she'd gotten distracted by something else and just left me there on hold. She finally located my package and told me it would go out that day and I'd receive a tracking number. Well here it is, two days later and SURPRISE! No tracking number, no email, no nothing. So I call again. I'm upset that I didn't catch this rep's name but she was also rude, short and acted like I was bothering her for wanting shipment info. She asked my name, then snapped at me for giving it to her because she "wasn't even at the computer". Um, okay. I was finally verbally given a tracking number and am crossing my fingers to receive my package tomorrow. I wish I'd been as smart as the other reviewed who called another UPS store in the area to ship his auction items. read more

Although this one is located at the SW portion of this "going downhill mall" the people in here do care enough to serve their customers and never to exceed the customer's expectations. I may be a customer to UPS at present, but this location doesn't thrill me all that much. read more
