I went there so much, he and I were always on a first-name basis with each other. And although he's now not there as much as he used to be, the others who are tend to be just as accurate and trustworthy as he once was. Ernie, who was the person behind the counter, always use to make jokes when I use to walk up to him for a stamp, and we just got along great together. It was rare when he ever made a mistake in the mailing system. I'm sorry I couldn't describe the factors that came into being placed in this review a little better. Maybe, as Ernie cross-trains people, the people who he trains could actually help bring that enlightened sense/spirituality to this small kiosk in the Mall once again, and therefore bring his sense of humor out to bring more people to use this booth once again. And what's best, packages that were mailed under him, never once ever got lost or delayed due to his actions, so something had gone well under his direction. He was always "on top of his game" here. Thanks Ernie and USPS crew for making my days and life a little brighter. You always have been a light in my eye, and will continue to shine brightly through the many years I have yet to use in store for the remainder of my life.

It's easy to drive past this Shokan, NY post office because it's almost hidden in a plaza and difficult to see from Rt 28. The space is big, kept clean and have a wonderful selection of creative stamps. The scene for us started with a blank counter and no one around. Service, after a minute of waiting, was snail slow and demeanor, typical 'post office'- taking her a while to warm up. The plus about it all was that our package arrived safely.

"It's a scam!" They claim to be a Fed Ex affiliate but they are a subcontractor to FedEx. That…read moremeans they can charge whatever they want and there is no set price. For example,it cost 200 dollars to send a car computer part to California, but the company sending the part back using FedEx office (an official drop off center) charged me 77 dollars for the exact same service back! Stay away! Use the Albany drop off center- quicker and cheaper. Also the UPS depot in Kingston is much cheaper. Stay away!
