Horrible experience and will never return. I am advising everyone in the Middletown area to avoid this place at all costs! I needed to purchase a box to ship my package. Cool! I bought a box. He then said I needed to buy tape.... uh ok, so I picked that up as well. HE and I emphasize the "HE" because on his own he picks up my package... places it in the box, and starts taping everything up. He then says my total is $9.00 ... I'm like, how? He says because of all the taxes. I say I need to see an itemized receipt. He prints out a receipt and the receipt shows a purchase of a "miscellaneous item" of $1.50. I say, what's this. He says that's the tax. I say... uh, no the tax is at the bottom of the receipt where it says NY STATE TAX. he changes his answer and says... well the $1.50 is my service free. I packed up your package for you that's not free. Okayyy..... 1) why did you just lie and originally say it's tax and 2) why not ask if I'd like to purchase that service??? I would not have chosen a service of putting tape on a box. My 3yr old could have easily done that.
Unfortunately his lie of "your $9 total is because of tax" was a done deal. I saw the receipt after he already charged my card. Nothing I could do. I walk out disappointed and get in my car. Realizing I never got a tracking receipt for my package. I run back into the store and ask for one. He said it's too late there's nothing I can do. I can't give you a receipt. I look at him and pick my box up off the counter. I say well, you don't need to ship my package then, I need a receipt for my job. He then says, wait hold on let me see.... 4 seconds later he scans the label and prints out a receipt for me.
Horrible customer service. The lies were unnecessary. If your desperate enough to overlook this review, please question the store clerk on everything. His actions and behavior was unnecessary. read more
