I've given up on these post offices. My main concern is the false delivery notifications they…read moreprovide to me. I'll get a notification saying "package delivered in/at mailbox" but nothing. It's frustrating because projects are a big part of my job and I can't plan if I don't know when parts are coming in accurately. After these alerts, I'll find my mailbox full a few days later with like a month worth of letters (not my packages). I've actually missed bills for this reason. (EZ-pass, stuff of that nature). The worst is when they lied and said they couldn't deliver because they didn't have a gate code. There's literally no gate where I live, nor anywhere nearby. I feel like their staff is just unethical, lazy, and has horrible organization. I'm surprised they don't steal mail. Not that anyone reads these, but tsk tsk tsk. Semi-related, but a friend of mine saw one of their drivers piss in a bottle outside the truck before emptying out a mailbox. What if a child saw that? How naughty.

The most I can say about this post office is it's immaculately clean and the location is…read moreconvenient. Staffing levels here seem to be sufficient. There are 2 registers, which are usually both open when it gets busy. However, during the afternoon, it's not uncommon to see lines out the door. The main lobby has 2 recyclable bins with locked lids for all the junk mail box holders receive. However, every time I go here, the locked lids are open. This is a serious threat for identity theft for anyone disposing of any junk mail related to credit or identity. The staff are hit-or-miss here. Some employees are friendly, some are miserable but make an attempt, and some have foul attitude problems. Because it's a smaller post office, the mail seems to take a while to arrive here.

I needed to mail a laptop to a relative in Miami. I was asked what was inside, and I said it was a…read morelaptop so to please mark it as fragile. While the personnel seemed helpful (prima facie), the effectiveness of the services is very questionable. It has been exactly one month and my package never arrived to Miami. In fact, it never left NY, tracking stayed "In Transit to Next Facility". I went through all the hassle of initiating reports, including a "missing" search request, and there has been little or no communication (boiler plate email full full of instructions about filing more claims) and a total lack of accountability. If I ever even use the USPS again (which I will try not to), it will not be this post office.

Service has improved. The "rude" lady everyone is mentioning no longer works there as she has…read moreretired. As a local resident that used to have a PO Box it took me 7 months of saying hello and asking her how her day was to break the ice with her to get greeted pleasantly. It shouldn't have had to be that way but it was. The older gentleman is a bit odd but he shows up everyday and does his job corectly which I cannot say about everyone these days. I am not sure why they bother to have a phone as it rings and no one every picks up, they must be affiliated with Walmart in Newburgh, NY as I can call either of them non-stop for a year and never get a person answering. All in all, much better, mail gets delivered on time and I haven't had to complain for over 2 years. I call that a TRIUMPH!

Well the biggest thing is to get here when there's not a line. If you do that I believe you're just…read moregoing to feel like it's in the other location, but they do have some bottlenecks, when it comes to taking care of the groups that come in. Every single time I've gone, and I have guiding employees that seem very interested in giving me good customer service. So if you have come in and you weren't happy because you got stuck in a line yeah, you're going to have to come back at a different time or just swing the line like the rest of us. Maybe they can fix the bottlenecks when the groups come in, I don't know if that's scheduling when they know people are getting out of work and about to come in or on their way to work or on lunch breaks I'd have to pay attention to the times that I come when there is a big line. So if you can't try to get there during one of their off times then yeah your experience is going to be bad and you might be in that 8 to 10 minute line waiting.

I opened a mailbox at this location for my business on June 2 and paid in full. I was told I would…read morereceive a phone call when my mailbox key was available for pickup. Since then, I have followed up multiple times. I checked back on Friday and again today, June 10, only to be told that my key is still not available. While I was there, staff appeared confused and were searching around to see if a mailbox key had been prepared for me, but ultimately could not provide one. I also feel very uncomfortable with the fact that staff seemed confused when trying to locate a mailbox key intended for my business. If there is confusion over something as basic as a mailbox key, it makes me question how my business mail and packages would be handled at this location. After waiting more than a week without access to the mailbox service I paid for, I requested to cancel and receive a refund. I was then informed that I would not be refunded, despite never receiving the key or being able to use the mailbox. I find this unacceptable. If a customer pays for a service, they should receive what they paid for. In my case, I paid on June 2 and, as of June 10, I still do not have a mailbox key. Refusing a refund for a service that was never provided is extremely disappointing. As a business owner myself, I find this very unethical. Businesses should be held accountable for delivering the services customers have paid for. Collecting payment immediately while failing to provide access to the service and then refusing a refund is not how customers should be treated. I do want to note that the young lady who assisted me was polite, professional, and respectful. My frustration is not directed at her personally, but rather at the way this situation was handled and the lack of a reasonable resolution. If you're looking for a mailbox, I would recommend considering another UPS location or the post office. My experience was that payment was collected immediately, but the service itself was not available, and no reasonable resolution was offered. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this location.
