I provided all my information to replace my license such as ID number, class, expiration date..etc. She claimed additional info was needed. I offered to show her a photo of my missing ID on my phone and I was denied that as well. This DMV is completely inadequate and not helpful at all. They do not have the knowledge to assist properly.

It also has a modern look on the outside, and inside.There is parking in the front of the building, and that lot seems big even though we had to quickly find a spot. I like that all the offices are in one building. Like we were there to register our new trailer, and renew the registration, so we had to go to the DMV. The DMV office is on the 1st floor. First, though we had to go through security, but it was very easy, and people were very nice there. Even was chatting with one security guard who was very nice, and will be memorable. Even once we entered the DMV office, we were helped right away with the proper paperwork to fill out. We filled the paperwork out, went to the ticket window, then was served right away. A woman helped us out, and she was very nice, as well as the other employees we encountered. Now they should also invest in microphones or something in case someone had hearing loss, because she did have a low voice, but my dad was the one listening to her, and whom was needed so it don't matter. Paid our tax payment on the trailer, and then got new registration stickers and went on our merry way! we can now use the trailer and go camping! Had such a excellent experience here, that if I need to go to DMV for anything, I would go here because everyone is friendly, and for the quick service, especially for a walk in before closing!

Anyways, after waiting in line for some time, we finally got greeted at a window, and at that point all the empty windows were calling out the next customer because it was getting to closing time. Anyways, we finally got to the window, we explained our situation. Now I got it done at the Mobile DMV in Monroe the registration, so maybe Goshen had our paperwork, and could easily fix it. I could tell that the person helping us at this location was confused and unsure how to do it. However when I tried to fix it at Monroe DMV, they said it was a pretty easy fix and just requires editing the files. Here, even the supervisor came over and was like in sorry, we can't do that here, here is a number to call to help you. Oh and side note- the one working the check in window was the supervisor. So that may have explained why the check in line was long, as she needed to be there to help her employees as well. Very nice deneour though for both the supervisor and the person who helped us. We then renewed another trailers registration while we were there. We then went on our merry way. My dad called the number and had to write a letter to Albany, and they at least helped by telling us what to do.

Just a tip for anybody heading over here try to get there early as possible because it gets pretty packed and sometimes has standing room only. The folks operating the stations are polite and considerate and really do their best considering time constraints and trying to be as expedient as possible. I found checking out the website really helps getting all your documentation together and even a phone call will square you away before your visit.

There's zero organization, lines everywhere with no clear direction, and nobody seems to know what's going on. To make it worse, the customer service is just as frustrating. Staff are rude, impatient, and act like you're bothering them for asking basic questions. Instead of helping, they make the whole experience more stressful. Honestly, it feels like nothing has improved in years. If there's any way to avoid going in person, do it. This place is the definition of inefficient.

Now housed in a more modern building with high ceilings, large windows - bringing in natural sunlight, tons of comfortable seating, plus 26 or so high glass paned counters filled with helpful representatives, makes for a vast improvement. This process ran smoothly, but with a fairly long wait. Especially if you're assigned a late morning reservation as I was. Once you arrive you're scanned in and provided an alphanumeric number. You wait for your number to be called, and instructed to have your photo taken. You then wait again to see another rep who completes your appointment. During each wait entertainment is provided via the MVN (Motor Vehicle Network). Their monitors are ever present grabbing your attention, and most importantly informing you which number is up next to be served. The DMV Representative that assisted with my renewal was surprisingly very helpful and pleasant, as with everyone I encountered. She reviewed my docs, gave her professional opinion on what would be my best option. I then paid for my renewal and was done with this part of the process in under 20 mins. Truthfully, the entire process took a little over 2 hours. Regardless of the lengthy wait, I was impressed with this White Plains DMV's organization. Five stars. TIPS: -Make a reservation for your appt. online -Arrive w/i 15mins of your appt. My recent visit to the Dmv was all good this time around. I remembered where I needed to go versus…read moremy first visit here years ago. I also made my appointment ahead of time, weeks in advance. When I walked in I was greeted by a man who asked if I had an appointment and when I responded yes, he pointed me in the direction I needed to go. Checking in was also easy, and if you had trouble there was someone there to help. I typed in my phone number, my appointment time popped up and I printed out a receipt and found a seat. I had a 11am appointment and I arrived early like 10:36, so not crazy early lol To my surprise at 10:58 my ticket number was called and I was at the counter. The lady at the counter was full of personality. She got me in and out before 11:30. This time the parking only cost me, $3. Overall when you have to go to the Dmv automatically you think of drama and stressful day but my experience there today was calm and easy. I 100% recommend that you make your appointment online beforehand to save yourself the headache.
