Note- No phones in court, even if turned off…read more Getting in is a little confusing since the lobby is so small. When you walk in it looks like you can just walk to the metal detector and go in, but there is usally a long line to the right that snakes around. Once inside you sit and wait to meet with the prosecutor to hopefully settle. This court will call you in based on the time you arrived, so go early as there are usually lots of people. With a clean record they made an offer of no points, or at least with my step son they did. Once agreed, you wait for the judge to actually take your plea, so there's more waiting. Whole process took us 2.5 hours. Once plea is taken, you go out to the window in the lobby to pay. $275 later (including court costs) it was over. They are pretty well organized, especially given the number of people, but they could be a little more forthcoming with the process so you know what's going on as you are there. But all in all it was an ok experience.

That envelope sat on her desk for 13 days before she send it off. Now I got a mail 4 weeks later saying that they still waiting for payment. Bunch of jokers and time wasters after all that I went thru went these jokers 4 weeks later they sending me a letter the same letter ask them to send me with my receipt they couldn't do it. When I ask them if I can pay online they said no or over the phone, but this time I can call and use my credit card to these people are really something else. Thank god I know people who could have help me out so I could be back on the road or else would be still sitting down waiting waiting 2 months for a receipt jokers

Monroe County Courthouse is a historic county courthouse located at Stroudsburg, Monroe County,…read morePennsylvania. The original section was built in 1890, and is a three-story, ashlar sandstone and limestone building measuring 65 feet wide and 180 feet long. It is in the Romanesque Revival style. They just got approval to have an extension and upgrade to the courthouse. Do to the pandemic, I would recommend calling Courthouse before going, they are not allowing people to come into courthouse for normal reasons. For civil/criminal cases (most) are being done virtual. Making payments, you must mail them in, no in person payments. They are following all guild lines as directed by CDC.

They blindly believed the complaintant's false remarks about my mental/medical health history! Why would you listen to the person just because they have a PhD? That alone is an idiotic act like one of Trump's schemes. Lets ask the most unqualified person with a conflict of interests. I actually had to beg them to agree to see my medical release forms, and they still didn't look. They also kept me blind to the discovery and pushed me into a guilty plea during the preliminary hearing. The discovery was not even finished yet. Not even close. If I had known then what I knew now I would've fought. But I was a vulnerable stance being an hour drive with no means of getting home. Plus they acted like that was my only option to get lenience. One of the two counts have been sealed since it was a lie. Never mind the fact that I never "stalked the person". I was not near them five times in a week like he claimed in the report. But again. No one even let things get to discovery. I am a disabled, battered woman from low income so they wanted to discard me like many others. I easily should've dropped to a M3. But the female detective wanted to act like she had to prove herself in a male dominant area.
