Every single package, like each single one, says "delivered", "left at mailbox", etc. Nothing shows up. Even my regular mail is delayed. My packages, if ever delivered, will show up weeks later tossed at random spots. I've found them thrown in the parking lot, on the stairs, pretty much anywhere but the mailbox. Pretty horrible service. Do you guys falsify your delivery numbers to meet a quota? I hope you every one of your employees gets food poisoning.

I needed to mail a laptop to a relative in Miami. I was asked what was inside, and I said it was a…read morelaptop so to please mark it as fragile. While the personnel seemed helpful (prima facie), the effectiveness of the services is very questionable. It has been exactly one month and my package never arrived to Miami. In fact, it never left NY, tracking stayed "In Transit to Next Facility". I went through all the hassle of initiating reports, including a "missing" search request, and there has been little or no communication (boiler plate email full full of instructions about filing more claims) and a total lack of accountability. If I ever even use the USPS again (which I will try not to), it will not be this post office.

So this is a tough one to review. If there is nobody in the store then the employees are happy and…read morecheerful, you don't have to climb over boxes and boxes and boxes laying around, and you're in and out in minutes. If there is ANY type of business or rush then it's the worst place in New Windsor to be. What makes it worse is that the manager (who sits in the back 9/10 times) doesn't come out to help the other two employees trying to clear the line. I've noticed this the more I've gone here, and I know she has come out from behind a desk and scanned pre-printed labels on a computer which is to the right just passed the copy machines. But I guess she only does that if she wants to... Otherwise she just sits in the back while the two employees get slammed and the line is so long that it wraps around the store. This can be difficult since there are excess number of boxes laying around everywhere. God forbid if you have PO box or a mailbox there you have to get to you have to climb over everyone's returns and boxes. One time at Christmas the line was so long it literally went to the door and wrapped around the table twice like a snake coiling up! This is not how you're supposed to handle business, and the manager doesn't seem to care or else she'd come out from behind the desk and help out her co-workers.

Postal workers always a pleasure to deal with until today. I needed a letter weighed. Postal worker told me how much it was, put the stamp on my envelope. I handed her the cash. She stated no cash only debit card. I told her I do not have a debit card. She stated she could only then take exact change. When I asked if this was a permanent thing, she spoke so low I did not hear her. I asked again, she said to me "I already answered your question." I told her she did not have to be nasty about it. I asked for a supervisor she stated her supervisor was at Enterprise Road, Newburg, go there and complain. What has become of our little town post office? Where did they find her? She needs to take some customer relations classes. Maybe I need to apply for her position.

I avoid the USPS w/ a passion because it usually means I'll be in a super long line and/or have a crabby worker LOL. Hubby hates it more than I do. He says they always mess up and they have a bad attitude. I prefer going to FedEx but that just meant a longer car ride, they also don't charge extra to pack your shipments, guess I'll take the ride when I feel like being cheap and not too lazy. Anywho at the USPS I've gotten dopey workers, but I always smile and treat them nicely and I'd say 99% of the time, they're nice back to me, and this last time the worker there was very helpful by printing out a receipt that I lost so I could then track my package. Like I said, I try to avoid coming here. I try to do everything I can online so as to not have to mail anything. I do use their outdoor mail drop sometimes.

Employee stated he's not in, he'll be in on Monday. When I mentioned the problem, knowing that mail delivery has been farmed out to USPS in Newburgh and we are missing mail or having it sent back with yellow stickers, he shrugged his shoulders, unconcerned and said, "yeah, Newburgh can't do their job." No concern at all.
