This is beyond ridiculous. No business has the right to call any department customer service. It is Computer I Can Answer Tell Me What I Can Do For You Service. I had to listen to a plethora about different mail services, passport services and listing everythin one needs...about 5 minutes worth of nothing. All I wanted to do was ask a question. Then I go on the ring-a-thon which I know they are ignoring because they either turned off the sound, or hear it and ignore it until the PAYING customer gives up and values their time more than the USPS. read more

I went to the post office today and the black lady with short hair is rude as HELL. Maybe if they would take some classes on how to treat their customers people wouldn't be short temper with you. I wanted to send a package and I wasn't gire how many stamps or how much and she said I can't put stamps on a package that is more than 13 on es so how many inches is this and she says it's in the receipt and charges me $5 something and I'm thinking wow it was more than 1 pound and nope it was almost 6 ounces. I go back and I ask her why to explain I'm confused she is raising her voice to go back in line. Anyway I left mad and still confused. Again, this office and it poor management show it is infecting its employees by doing the simple job of delivering the mail or at least correcting the ones that are doing a poor job. I have now received someone else's mail twice in the same week. Addison Post Office and its carriers... YOU HAVE ONE JOB, DELIVER THE MAIL TO THE PROPER ADDRESS. And when a customer comes in to explain a situation, don't cop an attitude and shrug it off. We are all dealing with tough times right now, and this is nothing new at this location. Easily One of the worst customer service experiences I've had. This place knows how to hire absolute trash. Came in looking to see if any mail was sent back due to issues with my apartment. Asked the Short girl with A lazy eye if I had any mail and she rolled her eyes asked for my address and just walks in the back for 4 minutes or so... comes back because she hears her cell phone ringing. Sadly I am stuck using this location as it is right down the road from my office. I have been going here for 5 years and it is always hot in the building and understaffed. The staff are never pleasant and act like they don't want to be there. Today however was the day I met the incredibly rude and ignorant manager, Evelyn. This Post Office location is much smaller than the ones in neighboring towns and it doesn't offer some of the usuals most of us are accustomed to, like stamp machines, Xerox machine, Self serve package weight and mail options. But I do love coming here because most of the postal workers are very nice and helpful. I've used them for several services: mailing packages, certified mail, overnight deliveries and everything has been a breeze and I've had no issues getting these services done well and efficiently. They are very helpful with passport services as well. Like all businesses, there's always one or two folks that could use a lesson in customer service, and most of the time, I try to avoid their line if I can. But kudos to the smiling helpful ones, they seem to take pride in their work, Even when rude customers make comments about the wait in line, they are always helpful and never cop a a bad attitude. read more

THE WORST PLACE TO GO everyone is so rude there can be a line and they just walk around and talk to each other. they go in "lunch" in the worst time and don't care about who is there keep in mind there's times that some services end and they chose to go on break 30 minutes or 40 minutes before the service ends and they take their sweet time. read more

I have a higher chance of dying from the plague than received a package in the mail if it comes through this place. When I tried to call to get an update on my packages, I was notified that the post office is only open for 4 hours a day. How is that even possible when the average work week is 40 hours and all other post offices in the area are open until 5 everyday except sundays? Today I went there some black bitch was there with short yellow hair catching an attitude for no reason when I told her I don't I'd it before. If I could give this post office zero stars I would. They don't deserve the one star. A short African American male was the one at the counter while I was trying to ship out my package. I asked for tape as I have done before at this locations and others. He responded with 'we only sell the tape here'. I told him I have done this multiple times and have used the tape and they always have it available for customers. He then proceeds to give me regular small office tape (not the one I normally use). And yesterday was February 3rd The woman who answered the phone stated they are delivering and that they are trying there best to get the mail out. My place is right next to a major intersection the streets other than in unincorporated areas are plowed and so are the sidewalks in and around my neighborhood. I saw a mail truck on a very poor plowed street in one of the unincorporated areas earlier in the day. So how come they can't seem to deliver to my block that is very clear ? read more

I have had the worst problems with the Addison post office every single darn time there is a substitute my outgoing mail never gets delivered and I even write a big note on top of my mail box in big letters stating please deliver my letters inside mailbox and its attention postal service how they can miss that I have no understanding of it these people do not know how to read and just shove your mail any kind of way in your box. I called today and spoke with "supervisor" Martin at this location regarding a package that was marked as delivered on the USPS website. He was very rude, cut me off as I was speaking and would not look up the information online until I insisted; he stated it shows up as delivered and that's that. Once he actually looked up the information he put the call on hold for a few minutes came back on the line and said "It's here." When I asked him to confirm what he said his attitude got even worse (didn't seem possible) and he mumbled confirmation that they did not actually deliver the package as he originally stated. read more
