Having everything you could possibly want related to the University of Southern California, the USC bookstore has 4 levels of product for both the student and friends of the University to get their USC fix satisfied. It's been a long time since my wife and I have been back on campus (probably last time being my daughter's graduation). Because of the recent protests, the campus is very different during summer session: there are only a few entrances open (the one on McCarthy and Figueroa being one of them) and a QR code pass given by a USC employee must be gotten beforehand for the day to enter. The daily parking rate is now $20, with the hourly rate being $4 and it is all smartphone based using your license plate (I messed up and started with the hourly rate, then switched to daily...you do NOT get credit for money already paid so ended up paying over $30 in parking). You then have to go through a security screening (bag check) along with showing your invitation. Once inside, we noticed how much of the campus open, grassy areas are cordoned off with unpleasing, temporary metal barriers. It's a beautiful campus with well coordinated architecture, and (imo) those barriers really took away from that. Really hope it is temporary. Since we had about an hour to kill before my daughter's photo appointment, we walked to the bookstore. Summer hours are M-F (8-6); Sa (9-5); Su (10-5). The bookstore is as nice as ever, both customers and products having plenty of space. There are escalators to every floor, and we ended up going to each one. The checkout is only the first floor however, and it is set-up to handle a huge rush of customers (for students at the beginning of a semester). Happily, there were discontinued products on sale, and my wife finally got a USC Mom's t-shirt for a good price. They also ended up buying USC sports paraphernalia for my daughter's new dog (who had come with us for the photo shoot). Finally, floor 2 had party supplies with USC logos and my wife found what she wanted to use to decorate her planned wedding favors. Nike is the official sports outfitter for USC, and there is a ton of Nike gear on the 1st floor, though at very California prices. And the top floor has things for alumnni and family of graduates. As mentioned, the cashiers are on the first floor and the bookstore is now cashless. And because they have so much space, they sell department type items not related to USC at all (like sunglasses and electronics).

Beautiful three-level bookstore on campus where you can find almost anything from pens to Swarovski USC helmet to computers. If you are visiting USC, I recommend checking this store out.

Stopped by on Friday, 02/17/23. My boyfriend graduated from USC (undergrad) and is in need of a car license plate frame. His old one is very dirty and the 'USC' wording is gone. We both finally had the time and opportunity to visit USC while stopping by the bookstore to get his goodies: - 1 USC Alumni License Plate ($42.95) - 1 USC lanyard (5.95) There's actually 4 levels inside this bookstore, so if you're looking for authentic USC gear then this is the place!

Having been an SC student some 20+ years ago, today's bookstore looks nothing like the bookstore of the past. When I was a student, there were multiple floors of books and supplies with a very small selection of clothing. Now the bookstore has 3 whole floors dedicated to clothing and one floor with traditional bookstore related items. While it's incredible to see the diverse selection of merchandise, I found that many shirts, sweatshirts and jackets didn't come in sizes larger than XL. When I asked some of the floor associates, they told me to visit the website in order to find XXL clothing options. Regarding the associates, I found them to be extremely helpful. Whenever I was looking for something, they were quick to step in and show me exactly where to find the item. The check out experience, on the other hand, was not positive. I counted over 40 people waiting in line to check out with only 2 registers open. I imagine the university is making millions from the bookstore, so I don't understand why they can't have a few additional registers open to reduce the wait times. I'm sure I'll return to the USC Bookstore the next time I visit campus, but I recently found out that some department stores, such as Kohl's, carry hundreds of USC clothing items, and they offer better pricing. A black Nike dry-fit shirt I saw at the bookstore for $55 was around $30 at Kohl's. Fight on!

Ordered a hat at this store. Came in and look like someone has step on it. For $42, at least they can ship it on a box vs a manila folder.

I was on a day trip with my kids and for nostalgia sake brought them to USC to "meet" Tommy Trojan and visit the bookstore to buy stuff and things. It's been awhile since I've visited and I was pleasantly surprised by the overall reorganization of the store - far easier to navigate than in times past. The 2nd floor - where all the shirts and memorabilia are - was configured in a "u" shape allowing for ease of shopping. Everything was easy to see, easier to find. We left with no regrets dropping coin on some fun souvenirs for us all. I have a special shout out to the parking attendant off of the McClintock entrance who so kindly allowed us free parking since we were there just to talk the campus! To him, I say, "Fight On!" for having the prescience to do this and for great customer service!!

    Fun hats! $26.95!

Housed inside a former bank, the space already carries this grand, historic energy that sets the tone before you even start browsing. What makes this place unforgettable is how it's designed to be explored, not rushed. There are cozy spots scattered throughout where you can sit and get lost in a book, but the real magic is upstairs. It opens into a maze of rooms, each with its own personality, filled with carefully arranged books that feel more like art than inventory. At times, it genuinely feels like you've wandered into a dream. One of the highlights is the famous tunnel of books, which adds to that surreal, almost cinematic experience. Everywhere you turn, books are used as decor in the most creative ways, and it creates this quiet moment where everything else fades out. Upstairs also holds one of my favorite parts, a row of art studios featuring work from local artists. Every piece feels intentional, unique, and thoughtfully placed. Right nearby, there's a small coffee shop surrounded by beautiful artwork, making it an easy place to pause and take it all in. This isn't a quick stop kind of place. Plan to spend a few hours here, wandering, discovering, and just enjoying the atmosphere. It's one of the most iconic bookstores I've ever been to, and it absolutely lives up to the reputation.

I loved seeing their pocket-sized collection from their genre-specific books to celebrity finds. I spotted a Chappel Roan book among other favorites. Additionally, they had a selection of Heated Rivalry novels and other fan-favorites. I definitely see myself coming here more often, too bad my booklist is currently full. My Mom and I got a few items (a small version of Macbeth, socks, mug, etc.). Staff were pretty polite but a little awkward, I think they're on high-alert for shoplifters. The store was neat and tidy. Lighting was dim and the store wasn't packed. As this is a gift shop in LA, library-specific merch is slightly pricy. However, the quality of the goods are great. If you're entering through the backside of the library go straight down the entrance hallway a bit and turn to your right. The Library Store is hard to miss!

While in Korea, I didn't know that Incheon Airport would have shipping boxes for excess luggage, so when I thought I would be limited by just the space I left for souvenirs and other gifts in my bags, I could've bought all seven Harry Potter books. As you can tell by the town I'm in, I'm in the Bay Area. Here in the Bay, we don't have a lot of Korean bookstores, and the one I could find here didn't really focus on fiction/fantasy books. I found this place after searching the internet for "Korean bookstores in LA/SoCal." I called and asked the staff if they had Harry Potter. They said they didn't, but they told me that if I found some store back in Korea that had what I was looking for, they told me to email them the link or something and then they would order the books for me. When I pointed out that by that logic, if I could find a book by myself and then pay for the store to mail the books directly to me, customs and all, then I'd just be doing their job. The employee told me to "take it or leave it," and they acted completely shocked that I did leave.
