As a UCLA alum the store has always been one of the go-to spots for all things UCLA. On a recent visit after many years I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of styles, collaborations and types of merchandise available at the store for purchase. Lots of different kinds of brands from Mitchell and Ness to Nike and Lululemon and collaborations with Disney and Hello Kitty. Definitely can find something for anyone of all ages. Employees are really helpful - when the main line got long another manager came through and guided some of us to another register without a line which I really appreciated. They also have a Bruins Reward program now where you can earn points as well. Prices can vary and many items aren't cheap, especially branded items, so I can see that college students may find this frustrating (I saw a very cool bomber jacket for example but it was $180!). But quality is great. Closest parking in the surrounding lots on campus - try either 2 or 4 which are underground. read more

Great selection of clothes and styles. The children's section is so cute and varied for the littlest Bruins. Many clothes and accessories are overpriced but there's a whole area of folded t-shirts that are in the mid $20's. I wait for the once or twice a year sale, 20% off. There's also a discounted rack. The store is always clean, the staff professional and helpful. Plush animals, gifts, mugs and greeting cards are sold here, as are computers, school supplies. They even have an optometry store. The convenience store does not overcharge as much as I expected. For medicine yes but for instant noodles, surprisingly no. Two microwave ovens make a quick, cheap lunch convenient. read more

If you forget anything at home... You can find it here! I came with my daughter to a dance clinic held here and I had about 3 hours to kill, I wandered around the campus, met a very nice doctor and his dog "Jackson". Bought a coffee and a Portos cheese roll, then walked in to the UCLA shop. I will not say prices are reasonable because I do understand it's the "Convenience" of the items being here instead of driving to a store off campus. I could see myself in this shop lots of times and have no problem purchasing items here. I'm all about the convenience and will not argue with the price! Lol! They have cute UCLA gear, books, snacks, school supplies and restaurants right upstairs. The employees are nice and friendly, if you have questions they will definitely help out, just don't be rude and they won't be either! Located at the bottom floor of Ackerman Union this store has quality clothing and headwear as well as other items such as teddy bears and stickers and the like. OVERPRICED LULULEMON Bear-wear. Honestly, Lulu is expensive and not everyone can afford the brand. There should also be $$$$ not $$$ on Yelp. A Lulu UCLA t-shirt is $78? I have found other UCLA wear at other stores that are just as cute if not cuter and better quality for less money. Sure, it might take some effort but if you're on a budget like I was, it's well worth the effort. I don't know guys...is it really worth it? (You can also go out and have a really nice dinner with friends.) Then again, if you have the money to spend, go ahead but make sure you are getting your money's worth. Check the fabric, etc. and make sure it'll last...that is, if you care if it lasts. Other than Lululemon...you have a lot of other good quality Bear-wear choices in-store. Was here on 9/18/23 to buy a few things. During football season, the Monday after every home game, you get 5% off for every touchdown the Bruins score with a maximum of 25%. Since the team scored 8 TDs, I was getting the 25%. I got my myself a new long sleeve t-shirt, my wife got a new hat, and we got something to help with our tailgating setup. Always lots of merchandise to choose from, and all the staff are very helpful. Since this was the Monday before classes started, it wasn't overrun with everyone trying to get needed materials. Wow - this campus store is MASSIVE and they have everything under one roof from UCLA swag (t-shirts, sweats, hoddies, polos, every UCLA sport team gear) to school supplies, gifts, cards, snacks, and so on. It definitely had a convenience store vibe to it. Very well organized and very clean. It almost reminded me of a department store! A great place if you are looking for anything UCLA branded. Prices are higher than I was expecting all around, but it is California. If you find one line for check out to be long, don't worry - you can find at least two others that aren't as long. The staff seemed to always be moving. It was almost overwhelming but very cool at the same time. I recommend stopping in and checking it out! read more

The UCLA store is located on campus and is somewhat of a walk from parking, for which you will pay. Once in the store you'll find everything you might need from your books oh, if you are attending classes, to UCLA sweatshirts, t-shirts, jogging pants and anything else you can imagine with a UCLA logo on it. If you have a student who has been accepted you might want to go there and get all their UCLA swag. If you are a tourist and enjoy UCLA you'll find anything you want there, from game hoodies to beer steins. It does get crowded, the lines can be long and the service is not the best. Nonetheless, if you want something from UCLA they will have it. Note that the prices are outrageous. read more

I looked up store hours via Yelp and went on a Sunday morning, shortly after the store opened. When I first got dropped off I did see the building with the bookstore but it seemed to have been closed. I asked someone who came out of the doors of the bookstore and he told me that it was actually closed. So I walked closer to the courtyard area and noticed there were folks going into the front door entrance. Masks are required when shopping, but they did have masks provided at the front upon entrance. It was a nice, and big store with so many gear options and other UCLA logo items along with every day items and clothing brands sold along with school books and supplies. A much better and bigger bookstore than the one we have here at the University of Hawaii, Manoa campus. UCLA gear were made with some generic tag brands along with brand name such as Nike and Adidas, as well as Under Armour. I browsed around and saw logo items for parents, which was more casual and conservative logo clothing and there were some clothing for the younger folk, so cropped tops, leggings, athletic bras and such. Clothing for everyone and anyone I thought if you wanted to pick up a logo item. There was a wall of hats, which was my next stop. I felt I needed to at least grab a traditional UCLA colored baseball hat and I got a Cheetah printed hat with UCLA in white embroidery on the front. I ended up buying 2 hats, sweat pants and a crop muscle-t style top. I was happy with my selections and a proud parent of a current UCLA Bruins student here! So proud of my daughter for getting into such a great school! I browsed in the store for about an hour, and looked at just about all the gear they had to offer. I was very happy with my purchases. The line was pretty long at the register, but for the most part, they moved fast. I'm definitely going to check it out here again if I'm in California again. read more

Ahh, the UCLA Store... one of the first stores I spent loads of my money on (sometimes willfully and some other times not so much). The UCLA Store is definitely your go to store on campus if you're too lazy or on a time crunch to walk out to Westwood to buy school supplies. :) Their apparel can be pretty pricey but that's like every other college. I recommend to snag yourself at least one piece of apparel (like a jacket) to keep during your years here. The store is full of different things... there are areas for food, apparel, make up, school supplies, and SO MUCH MORE. You're in good hands with this store if you're in a pinch! I've even done some Christmas shopping here too (don't tell anyone). Upstairs is where the bookstore is, aka the place where I hold in my man tears when I watch my funds deplete for the greater good of my education... (ONLY BUY YOUR BOOKS NEW IF YOU REALLY HAVE NO CHOICE) Also, when you're waiting between class gaps or you're stuck on campus, make sure to take advantage of their charging station for your phone! It can seriously be a life saver. As for customer service, I've never had a problem with anyone. Usually the workers are very friendly and upbeat! If you can't find a size of an item that you want, you could always ask them to check it in their system. If they run out of a textbook you need, just ask them when they'll have their next order coming in and the employees will try to give you a good time estimation (if you're willing to wait though). I've bought one too many bag of chips, textbooks, and frivolous doohickeys in this very store. Do I have a spending problem here? Maybe. Will I work on that? Uhh... Let me check next time. read more

There's always lots of cute attire, lanyards, keychains and bumper stickers for your Bruin bliss here! In the recent years, they've started a Joe Bruin and Friends line that include UCLA collaborations with pop culture favorites such as Paul Frank and wait for it... Wait for it...oh you know it, my favorite, Hello Kitty! Yup, my favorite girl, the cutie patootie HK is at the store! She loves UCLA and it's shown with her little face on mugs, keychains, bumper stickers, shirts, mugs, plushes and even on a Christmas ornament! Ahh UCLA store certainly knows how to reel me in! Ahh yes, reeling in! I love the store and all their offerings but it sure can hit your wallet a little hard! A sweatshirt runs over $50! A simple shirt with painted letters runs at $19! My wife, daughter and I were at UCLA last Saturday, October 7, 2023 for UCLA's Fall Open House and after the campus tour, we decided to go to the UCLA store and bought some merchandise. But the lines were long and it was very hectic and I did not realize until we got home to Orange County that I was overcharged $17.00 for a UCLA T-shirt I bought there. So, on Monday, October 16, 2023, I called the UCLA store and talked with Joana J., one of the managers there and explained what happened and hoping we could fix it over the phone because the price to find parking and gas would cost more than the $17.00 overcharge. Well Joana was very helpful and understanding, I was able to email her my receipt, a photo of the shirt that I was overcharged for and the price tag. After that, she looked into it and called me within a few hours. She was able to return the shirt, credit my card and then re-ring it up at the correct price. Joana was very professional and provided me with exceptional customer service and for that I am very grateful. Thank you Joana! As an undergrad I always loved walking around and immersing myself in all things UCLA. Now as an oldie/alumni love walking around and looking at all the new school merchandise. I'm always impressed by the creativity of UCLA merchandise. Also, the bookstore is well stocked in many of the books you might find at a normal bookstore with the added bonus of having college related books as well. The staff is always friendly and professional. It's definitely a good spot to visit, whether you're a future/present/past Student. I was perusing here with my fellow alum, Grace C. and I ended up buying a pair of Rainbow sandals with UCLA on them. I happen to wear my Rainbow sandals everyday so this was not a wasted purchase. Health Sciences Store is my go-to convenience store at work. I've been around UCLA for longer than I care to admit, and this store by FAR has the friendliest, nicest, most helpful student employees of any store on campus, and all of my colleagues agree. No thank you, I don't need a reciept for my 75 cent coffee, but I hope you have a wonderful day too! The store serves the medical, dental, nursing, and public health schools, as well as faculty, staff, physicians, and patients in the building. It offers a good variety of textbooks, gifts, cards, medical student needs, UCLA attire, white coats, and then drinks, snacks, candy, ice cream, fruits, some prepared sandwiches, sushi, salads, and other convenience store items. I come here instead of Cafe Med for coffee because it is indeed only 75 cents. They serve organic frozen meals if you want that kind of thing, and the mini Nutella packets at the cashier get me every time. It's open early and closes at 6PM, which is great if you work here or plan to work through dinner. Usually, there is a lady selling cheap cheap (like holla for a dolla cheap) jewelry and clothes on tables outside, too. I like this little store and I'm glad it's so close by! read more

Cooking, architecture, children's books, history, novels, nature, etc. Grabbed three books and made myself leave. As a former Bruin, I WANT to give the UCLA Store 5 stars...but I just can't. Sure, there's a fine selection, a large variety of tshirt prints and sweaters, and you're bound to run into a student athlete you recognize. You can find everything here from a toothbrush to a novel to a banana to a computer to a dog collar. With that said, the prices are ridiculous and the store arrangement is ludicrous. If you want to find a pair of sweats, expect to search the entire store because they're located in about 7 different spots. It's frustrating. If you want a UCLA sweatshirt, be prepared to pay $55-60. It sucks. Another gripe is that the tshirt designs haven't changed in 10+ years. I still see the ugly tshirts that I didn't want to buy back in the day! Discounts: As in the past, every Monday following a football game, the UCLA Store offers anyone with a ticket stub a discount of 5% per UCLA touchdown. I did buy 3 sweaters, 4 key chains, 3 t-shirts, a bib, 3 mugs, 2 plush toys & a UCLA water bottle. I loved everything that I bought from the store, a majority of the things I bought were presents & they loved it. There is a great selection of items. I attended UCLA as an undergrad, during which time the Bookzone served as an air conditioned oasis to rest my pretty little head in between strenuous classes of diametric range, from Molecular Toxicology (Art History of West Africa) to Thermodynamics (History of the Byzantine Empire). From classic lit, to prep books, to fashion & music mags to gossip rags and book bags, the Bookzone has it alll. While I struggle to remember much from the copious reading and research I was assigned to during those academic years, I will forever, (or at least until dementia sets in) remember the piercing, poignant article that Vibe Magazine wrote on T.I. while he was being brought up on charges for possession of machine guns. (YOLO, anyone?). So a few years later, when Grad School beckoned, and it seemed that only an MBA would be able to cure the years of self inflicted damage I accrued by not being more realistic (read: mercenary) in choosing a major, the Bookzone and I met again, though admittedly, under less joyous circumstances. Gone were the measured studies of the Harper's Bazaar spread, the titillating Vanity Fair reads, and the lustful gazes of the shoe section of Vogue; all those carnal pleasures were replaced with the abominable but necessary "How to Teach Your Catastrophically Liberal Arts Infested Brain a Thing or Two About Deceptively Tortuous Mathematical Calculations Meant to Bring You Within an Inch of Your Life". Nothing, not even parallel parking, took me this long to master. Fuckng hell. While quantitative analysis became my own personal Abu Ghraib, and standardized Testing, the Pol Pot in my life, the Bookzone still managed to give me a glisten of pleasure, albeit an ephemeral one. It is by far the most superior choice when it comes to accessing a variety of material, as it houses a greater range of selection then Barnes & Noble, at least in prep books. Since Amazon has annihilated the vast majority of the bookstore field (wonder if Joe Fox has gone to the mattresses), UCLA's Bookzone is a GREAT one stop shop for whatever your book needs may be. From MCATS and GMATS, to the scientific study of Dingbats, to historical books, to embarrassingly pleasurable and shallow reads like the Autobiography of Kris Jenner (which for the record, I have never read. Although I do watch all 438 Kardashian shows, so that really does not make the situation better), this place is a gem. Also, the staff here is bar none. Unbelievably sweet kids, amazing service and Juwon, the manager, is absolutely, hands down one of the greatest assets the bookstore has! In conclusion: YAY Bookzone. Poo on Math. read more
