TRENDY LITTLE STORE w/ GREAT FINDS! Central Library's "The Library Store" is a current,…read morewell-stocked gift shop with buzzy reads and stylish merch. I loved seeing their pocket-sized collection from their genre-specific books to celebrity finds. I spotted a Chappel Roan book among other favorites. Additionally, they had a selection of Heated Rivalry novels and other fan-favorites. I definitely see myself coming here more often, too bad my booklist is currently full. My Mom and I got a few items (a small version of Macbeth, socks, mug, etc.). Staff were pretty polite but a little awkward, I think they're on high-alert for shoplifters. The store was neat and tidy. Lighting was dim and the store wasn't packed. As this is a gift shop in LA, library-specific merch is slightly pricy. However, the quality of the goods are great. If you're entering through the backside of the library go straight down the entrance hallway a bit and turn to your right. The Library Store is hard to miss!

On my recent visit, I picked out several items and was ready to check out when I asked if I could purchase the paper vase and flower that were on display. It seemed like a simple request--especially since I was already buying multiple things and was clearly a paying customer. Instead of trying to help, the staff asked three different managers, and every single one just said "no." No explanation, no attempt to offer an alternative, and no effort to make the sale. It felt less like customer service and more like rigid rule-following for the sake of saying no. What makes it even more frustrating is that everything in the store is already very expensive. When customers are willing to spend that kind of money, you would expect at least a little flexibility or effort to accommodate a reasonable request. Retail should be about helping customers and making sales, not turning away people who are literally trying to buy your products. Walking out after that interaction was frustrating and disappointing. After that experience, I won't be coming back. Blocked.

Lets talk about this shop--cuz wow…read more First off the staff, kind, efficient and helpful (kind that makes you feel welcomed and not rushed). Mellow, thoughtful vibes. The items? Literally things I didn't need...until I saw them. Notebooks, pens, rulers, keychains, clipboards, planners, stationery, and every kind of writing tool that was not on the list, yet clearly destined to come home with me. CONFESSION: I'm that friend who gets emotionally attached to pens . I'll walk into a stationery store "to browse" and leave with two FULL bags of pens, paper, and things I didn't know I needed five minutes ago. I own multiples of the same items (pens, pencils, notebooks, and paper accessories) and feel zero shame. Seriously they're kinda like tools for clarity! The shop isn't huge, but I could easily spend three hours there. They even make custom products, which feels sorta dangerous for someone like me. I don't know what else to say except: just go. Buy your supplies here. Write someone a letter. Treat yourself. Cinco stars.

LOVE this store! Great variety of all things stationery, they have planners, pens, storage items,…read morestickers, and even miscellaneous home items such as candles and more. I've gone a few times and items are frequently updated which is great, a little on the pricier side but items are high quality so that is expected. The store is located at the Row DTLA. Parking is super easy and there's plenty of parking at the lot. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area!

A literal little hole in the wall, tucked away and unassuming, the kind of hidden gem that reminds you why small neighborhood shops matter so much. From the moment you walk in, the energy shifts. The space immediately feels tranquil, peaceful, and intimate. Soft lighting, neutral tones, and thoughtfully styled shelves create a calm, almost meditative atmosphere. Nothing feels rushed or overwhelming. Every corner feels intentional, from the clean, minimalist shelving lined with beautifully illustrated greeting cards, to the curated displays of candles, gifts, children's items, art prints, and thoughtful little objects you didn't know you needed until you saw them. I came in with a very specific mission, to find a Valentine's card, but not the overly romantic, cliché kind. I was looking for something that simply said, "I choose you." Subtle, meaningful, timeless. I narrowed it down to five cards, each with its own charm, clever illustration, or heartfelt message. That's when Savanna stepped in, and honestly, she made the experience. Savanna is the definition of exceptional customer service. Patient, warm, and genuinely present, she has an incredible ability to match your energy without overpowering it. She listened, asked the right questions, and helped guide the decision without ever making it feel forced. You could tell she truly knows the products and understands the intention behind them. The card she helped me choose felt right, like it was meant to be picked. The shop itself is spotless and beautifully organized. The card wall is a standout, rows of unique designs, playful illustrations, modern typography, and artful sentiments that feel personal rather than mass produced. Beyond cards, the photos show how carefully curated everything is, cozy candles with clean packaging, tasteful home goods, children's books and toys arranged with care, soft textiles, and charming little gifts that make perfect "just because" finds. Nothing feels cluttered, everything has space to breathe. There's a sense of calm confidence in this shop, it doesn't need to shout to get your attention. It invites you in quietly, lets you take your time, and leaves you feeling lighter when you walk out. Shout and About isn't just a store, it's an experience. One rooted in intention, warmth, and genuine human connection. If you're in Echo Park and appreciate thoughtful design, meaningful gifts, and service that feels truly personal, this place is absolutely worth seeking out. Hidden like all gems are, but unforgettable once you find it.

This is the flagship shop opened in 2015 and there are currently three brick-and-mortar locations in Echo Park, Carlsbad, and Encinitas. [Parking]: Parking is very difficult in this part of town. I got really lucky and found a residential street spot on Grafton St. [Merchandise]: The shop offers many cute gifts including home goods, scented candles, tote bags, and a section with items for children and babies such as children's books and random animal plushies. I like some of their greeting card designs, but there is not much of a stationery selection. There is also a mini print vending machine at the front entrance. [Conclusion]: I am not sure whether I would drive out of my way just to shop for gifts here as there are too many random items. It would be nicer if the shop focused on a more specific niche category rather than being a jack-of-all-trades gift store.

It's always lively and bustling with younger AND older generations of Koreans plus plenty of non-Koreans looking to explore the culture! As someone who has lived in Koreatown his whole life, this place is a pillar of Korean-American culture. If they have to do maintenance, they should avoid doing so during such busy hours. + Nicole's Coffee Shop was kind enough to validate my parking without me buying anything. I decided to support their business anyway. - The food court is very limited on hydrating, healthy drinks. I had barely walked around inside the Plaza for 15min when suddenly all the lights went out. Inside H-Mart was so dark. I ran outta there. Sunlight still shown through the windows, thankfully. Everyone was confused. I rushed back to my car in the parking garage and booked it outta there. Thankfully the gatekeeper's barricade arm was staying up (so my validated parking ticket didn't matter) so I could drive off quickly before the exit became a bottleneck. Turns out West LA had a blackout... the one time I ever visit LA! Shame, cuz I wanted to walk around Koreatown Plaza a little more before heading to the next checkpoint in my itinerary.
