Before she went, I'd worked with her on sit, down, take it, leave it, and some spins with decent success. Brian took what she had and built on it, adding heel, come when called, turn, and stay. He returned a noticeably different dog. When we hit some bumps shortly after, he came back out and spent a solid hour with me going over what was actually happening...not just commands and corrections, but why she was behaving the way she was and what she needed from me to feel secure. (Spoiler: she needed me to be more confident and consistent.) He has a way of cutting straight to what matters without overcomplicating it, and more than once he said exactly the right thing at exactly the right moment. What struck me most across both experiences was how much genuine wisdom he brings to his work. He's clearly someone who has learned his craft through deep experience and observation, and it shows in every interaction with the dog and with the owner. On top of all of that, his pricing was incredibly reasonable; boarding and training combined for what many trainers charge for training alone. We felt genuinely taken care of. Kind, patient, perceptive, and exactly what we needed. Highly recommend.

My pup's cut was nice, they did decent and what was expected for when he had matts or when I decided to groom him myself (which went poorly). I was prepared for anything since the front desk couldn't give me clear answers of how he was going to look every time I took him. My puppy is low maintenance, no health or allergy issues so far. He still looked cute when we picked him up. They also did good with our family's late senior dog. But my sister's puppy has a lot of special needs. Her care was handled quite poorly and looked nothing like herself. Honestly, after seeing the owner's response to her review, I'm not sure this place can accommodate all kinds of dogs. They seem pretty firm on the one sort of cut they offer, if you have specific expectations it might be difficult for them to meet. One visit should be enough to tell if it's right for your dog and make sure to trust your first gut instinct! Edit: Hi Monica, thanks for taking the time to respond! I hope your business also takes the time to consider good faith feedback. I'm glad that Chixie has cared for lots of different dogs, we just didn't see that reflected with my sister's. We encourage future clients to ask lots of clarifying questions before booking. It's not a personal attack it's directly related to your service that negatively impacted my dogs grooming. The fact that you're being defensive just shows how terrible this business is. It's so disappointing to see considering how loyal my family was to this business for YEARS. I will gladly accept the before pictures, you have my number. It's rich that you keep saying that yall care about my pets safety, yet yall clearly know nothing about dogs with double coat. "Your dog's coat actually acts as an insulator," explains Dr. Jerry Klein, Chief Veterinary Officer for the AKC. "Shaving that coat to reduce shedding or supposedly to keep the dog cool also eliminates that insulating layer of fur, makes the dog susceptible to heat stroke, and can result in improper hair growth and the possibility of follicle damage. A dog's fur coat protects him from sunburn and decreases his risk of developing skin cancer." I already told yall my dog has skin issues and when I brought her in November I also told yall she was having a hard time growing fur. Shes been whining and scratching more since her grooming. Even my vet said this cut increases irritation. Maybe you should reflect on your defensiveness, practice your dog grooming skills and work on your business ethics. The unprofessionalism is truly appalling.

My two dogs attended daycare at ABC Pet Resort several times, and our initial experiences were…read morepositive. Unfortunately, an incident in April 2024 changed my comfort level with bringing them back. When I picked up my dogs that day, they were brought out and loaded into my car as usual, and no one mentioned that anything had happened. After I had left and was already driving home on the freeway, I received a call telling me that one of my dogs had been injured and had a cut/scrape on his torso. I was told that if veterinary care was needed, I could let them know about reimbursement, which I appreciated. When I got home, I found a significant scrape about the size of a nickel where all of his hair was gone. Because our vet was about to close, I did a video consultation, and they felt it appeared consistent with a scrape that may have occurred during play. I completely understand that dogs play and accidents can happen in daycare. My concern was how the incident was communicated. I would have expected to be contacted when my dog was injured, or at the very least to have been told directly when I picked him up--not after he had already been placed in my car and I was driving home. We never returned after that incident. About six months later, after continuing to receive daycare emails, I contacted ABC and explained that we had not returned since the incident and asked to be removed from their mailing list. I did not receive a response. I waited a long time before writing this review because I don't take leaving a negative review lightly. As a dog owner, communication and trust are extremely important to me when someone else is caring for my pets. The injury itself was not what ultimately caused us to leave; it was the way the incident was handled and the lack of follow-up afterward.

I'd selected A Couple Of Vets when I moved to a new neighborhood over 2 years ago. My review is strictly the cold, callous manner in which we were treated for the appointment to say goodbye to my Doberman, Axel. After a very short illness of 4 days, Axel was in the clinic on May 5 of this year where following tests Dr Le kindly and empathetically delivered a terminal diagnosis, recommending euthanasia. I wasn't ready for that diagnosis and declined saying 'we'll call later'. After a very sad night watching Axel decline, I phoned the following morning set an appointment for that mornin, May 6 for euthanasia. The One Star Review We arrived at the clinic and were quickly led to what seemed to be their euthanasia room. Dr Reynolds entered and went over the diagnosis, which seemed to be different from his wife's diagnosis the prior day, and then smugly stated "This is what happens with untreated heart worm", referring to a months prior appointment with Reynolds in which Axel was diagnosed with heart worm shortly after I adopted him. Reynolds quoted $2100 for treatment, a lot for my fixed income So I called around, finding treatment for $450. That resulted 2 negative tests from different clinics. He was on continuous heart worm prevention. I'm confused on how that was possible. The issue was the smug manner in which he said that and his flawed assumption that I had chosen to ignore his initial diagnosis and didn't get treatment for Axel's heart worm it only got worse. Following Reynolds smug and false opinion regarding my medical treatment of Axel, he offered treatment that would keep Axel alive 3-6 months longer. It didn't make sense to prolong the continued suffering and eventual death of my buddy and I chose euthanasi. Reynolds left the room to insert an IV on Axel and then returned with prefilled syringes and a paper. "First, you'll need to take care of this" he said while handing me the paper. His bill for this appointment! I was shocked and confused. I ALWAYS paid immediately upon departure. Suddenly, Reynolds is treating me as if I would not or could not pay his bill of $356.82 for euthanasia and cremation. it was a heartbreaking 24 hours from diagnosis to euthanasia, and now I'm being insulted by Reynolds's assumptions and further insulted and upset that he feared I might run out on the bill. Despite paying promptly for each prior visit with both dogs. All of this BEFORE I even had to end my buddy's life. after I paid the bill, things continued poorly with a broken lift table, Reynolds wanting Axel to get on cold, stainless steel lift table with no cover. My Axel was NOT going to spend his dying moments on a cold table. And was too slippery, so I told Reynolds to get the sheepskin style cover from the broken table so we could get Axel comfortable on this lift. Holding Axel while Reynolds injected the medications. He then confirmed Axels death. All very matter of factly, with NO empathy and no compassion. I've had to put down several pets through the years and NEVER has the veterinarian been so cold and callous as Reynolds. The office sent a nice condolence card signed by staff and included flower seeds to plant in memory of Axel. All nice, but all to late to repair the damage Reynolds did that day. I get this is his job and he probably euthanizes pets regularly, but what kind of Veterinarian does so with no warmth or understanding? What kind of vet insists the bill be paid first by a promptly paying client of 2 year? My answer is A Couple Of Vets who will never see one dollar from me again. And I have told this story repeatedly to friend and neighbors. BTW: I've yet to receive the paw print I ordered.

I was shocked to see they charged $50 just to clean his ears without informing me of the cost before doing it. Then, Dr. Kendra Delaney and the whole staff were instrumental in working with our Pet Relocation team for our international move, and promptly responded to all the timely details.
