We reached out to Alleycat Exterminating when we began to have some more visitors in our apartment…read moreof the mouse and roach variety after our cat died. Don talked my husband through some steps we could take to try and plug any holes and fix the issue on our own if we wanted to but after finding a few more bugs we decided to make an appointment to have professionals help. Lauren stopped by, did a thorough check of our whole apartment, and ended up calling in someone else to bring additional materials to help ensure our problems were solved. Both she and her husband (it's a family business!) did a great job explaining what they were doing, what they were using, and answer any questions we had. The traps they leave behind and poison they use are childproof and pet safe, and also placed in ways to limit chances of small kids or pets to even get to them. Their fee was incredibly reasonable, they're communicative, and I finally feel like I can sleep a little easier. They'll be coming back to check-in in a few weeks to make sure there are no new signs of anything and discuss any next steps as needed but we are feeling optimistic and taken care of by friendly, reasonable professionals. Very much recommend them!

I was stressed out about the increasing roach activity at my place but was skeptical about effectiveness of hiring an exterminator. Given the price of Top Notch Pest Control, I had high expectations. Robert, the technician, came out to my place twice, once for the initial treatment and again for a follow-up. After the follow-up, the activity had gone down so much, more than I expected. Additionally, Robert provided great tips for prevention, was pleasant to talk with, and made a stressful situation much easier to go through. While I don't have other pest control services to compare with Top Notch, they do seem to do quality work, if all of their technicians are like Robert. Thank you!

Frank from Absolute Death was incredible! He got us set up with appointments fast and explained…read moreexactly how everything would go. Super helpful, easy to talk to, full of fascinating facts about how roaches work and how to get rid of them. We had been living with roaches in the kitchen sink, in drawers, in the bathroom, just all over the place. Our slumlord, Bronstein Properties, had completely failed in helping us with tis issue. When Absolute Death stepped in, they told us straight up that landlords often use cheap, ineffective supplies that don't actually solve the problem. These guys use the real shit! One of the treatments was a caramel-colored gel the roaches eat, throw up, and then other roaches eat that vomit back at the nest. They also used roach birth control to stop future generations from hatching, as well as a powder injection below the skin to make the area dry and uncomfortable for roaches. Our technician, Minor, was great - friendly, polite, upbeat, and fast. The apartment always smelled amazing after he left. They used something that was cat-friendly and left the house smelling like sweet cinnamon or cloves. It's been a huge relief to finally live without roaches. Thank you, Absolute Death!!!

I am so impressed by how Frank handled our bizarre indoor mosquito problem and how generous he was…read morewith his time and knowledge. He actually suggested trying non-toxic, DIY solutions before hiring them to come out. He gave my husband and I a great education about the lifecycle and breeding habitat of mosquitoes (ie I didn't know they could lay eggs in such a tiny amount of standing water.) We had consulted two companies prior, one who wanted to charge up to $650 (!!!) to evaluate and spray in our relatively small apt and backyard without even seeing where the problem stemmed from. It was a huge relief to speak to Frank, try some of his tips, and know he's there if we do need further treatment. It's rare to encounter such ethical & kind business owners in this field, in my experience. Greatly appreciated and highly recommend!

John is an exceptional professional and absolutely wonderful human being. He will take care of you…read moreand he will take care of the animals. If you care about welfare and safety of the animals, John is the only professional you should trust with your case. I live far from New York City in a mountainous and wooded area, you could say I live in the woods. It is an area with a very high animal activity. Raccoons, opossum, skunks, groundhogs, foxes all roam freely here and they are here in abundance. I have a house that use to be a cabin and while half of it now has a basement the other half barely has a crawl space underneath. I had an issue under that half of the house. Many creatures have gotten under my deck and eventually into the crawl space. There was a family of skunks living there as well as a family of groundhogs, with other creatures visiting on and off. I was particularly worried about groundhogs because of their borrowing. Eventually constant digging that groundhogs do could bring a structure down. John has devised a plan on how to exclude the creatures and to protect my property from creatures getting back inside. John has also executed the plan successfully. My crawlspace is now free from its permanent residents and from unwanted visitors. Another important detail about my case is the fact that it started late fall and groundhogs tend to go into hibernation during winter. By the time John has secure the deck and the crawlspace under the house we were not sure if the groundhog(s) were still underneath and went into winter sleep. John agreed to leave the excluders over winter and come back in spring to conclude the job. Also refused to be paid in full before the job is complete. Remarkably the groundhog came out in March, it was sleeping all through the winter. One very important thing to know about the initial quote you get from John and the total price you will pay. While there will always, always, absolutely always be some other place, some other guy who will give you a lower estimate, John will be the right choice if you want the job done right. Mine was a large job and the cost was several thousand dollars and I am extremely happy I decided to agree to Johns plan and approach. Prior to John, I had another "trapper" offer his services, and has only gotten scammed. I should have done my research and read Yelp before hiring anyone. If you are still not convinced, check out this article on John from The New York Times https://www.nytimes.com/2008/07/08/nyregion/08raccoons.html

I was up front about my stress about the price and he was open about what he could do for me. Honestly a huge relief, because when you're stuck with pest you literally have no choice. I appreciated that he worked within my budget and gave me all the options. Ray was able to fit us in the next morning (THANK YOU!!)
