I wanted an appointment ASAP, and although Joe could only offer me an appointment for several days later, he assured me that he would keep my number at the ready just in case they had a cancellation. The night before my inspection, I received a text message from James confirming the time he would arrive, the price that was agreed upon, and simple instructions for how to prep for the inspection. The next morning, I received another text about an hour before the scheduled time to pinpoint the exact time he would be arriving - which is insanely helpful and courteous. Upon arrival, right on time, James asked me about my situation and immediately got to work performing a thorough and comprehensive inspection of the three bedrooms in my house, from floor to ceiling. The bed, box springs, bed frames, baseboards, etc. everything was carefully inspected while he explained what he was doing, what he was looking for, and even what I could do in the future to put my mind at ease. Well, I'll tell you... Number one, they are super respectful of my home environment and go above and beyond to accommodate my fastidiousness (I mean, I'm a great host but I'm also really fussy). They'll put on as many layers of shoe booties as I hand them and always with a smile. Is there an area of your home you prefer they don't spray, or furniture they should be careful around? Tell them once and they'll remember the next time they come back. "Elegant" isn't a word one typically reaches for when describing an extermination service but for Evergreen, it works. Number two, THEIR PRODUCTS ARE EFFECTIVE. Roaches = DEAD. UPSIDE DOWN DEAD. No fumes, no residue, no mess whatsoever, and they'll address whatever questions / concerns you may have. Fortunately, I've never had rodent issues, but just the same, they insist on setting a few traps in potentially vulnerable areas. These guys know know their stuff (and even make their own rodent bait). Number three, they are fellow animal lovers and so you know their products are 100% safe for your pets. My cat doesn't tend to like men in general, but he likes JP who always takes the time to greet him on his terms. Number four, they are very responsive and if you're like me (see a roach and panic, needing immediate service), they'll be there ASAP. Number five, the value. I highly recommend signing up for their QUARTERLY TREATMENT PLAN which A) permanently locks their current pricing in for you and B) is the proper way to keep any insect sightings to a bare minimum. Trust me on this, quarterly maintenance is the way to go. No matter how spotless you are, this is NYC.
