Established in 2003.
Opening day was March 1, 2003. Hundreds of fliers. catalogs, letters and phone calls were made announcing USU's grand opening went to every sheriff in the state of Indiana. We stocked more inventory of Cordovan Brown Basket Weave Duty Gear, Brown Jackets, Brown Uniforms, Brown Boots and Brown Campaign hats than all our competitors combined.
The owner of US Uniform and Supply researched the industry, invested every penny he had and put a business plan in place. For five months he prepared everything; designing the store, constructing displays, installing sales counters and assembling office furniture, slot walls, cash registers, computers, hired employees and hung a sign.
The day arrived. It was Saturday morning. We took in $30 in sales that day. We were onto something big!
Thirteen years later, we're a leading supplier for Indiana Law Enforcement agencies and a trusted partner in outfitting Indiana's public safety professionals.
Meet the Business Owner: Bill K.
Bill Kessler, Owner of US Uniform & Supply, is a Long Island native and a former US Team Handball player who competed in the 1984 & 1988 Olympics. Bill's first introduction to Indianapolis was for the 1987 Pan American Games.
You can find Bill most days at US Uniform & Supply, or at the embroidery and screen-printing location just down the street at 225 E.10th Street. Bill launched his business 25 years ago and still works hands on everyday to ensure the most efficient, effective and highest quality services and products are available for his customers.
