Last fall, my husband bought a pistol and shotgun from Hoosier Armory. I was not totally comfortable with the guns in our house as I have never been an active participant in gun handling in any way. That's why I took this course. By the end, I felt comfortable with the knowledge provided and in the handling of my weapon. There were more experienced participants in this class than me. I should mention that I was the only woman in this particular training, yet I left feeling more comfortable with my experience than I had hoped! I highly recommend this course to any and all!

I see some 1 or 2 star reviews and I have to wonder who these people talked to. It could be the night staff that I don't know about since I normally shoot during the day time. When the range sold we were apprehensive what the new owner would be like. He's a great guy. I would like to suggest that anyone that had a "bad" time - give it another shot - call and talk to Yan or Bill or Mark (Mark talks low so he's hard to hear at times but he KNOWS guns). They are very safety conscious there and that's really one of the most important things.

We met friends at Shoot Point Blank today to try out the shooting range (behind the Get-Go off…read moreRockville Road). This was the first time either of us had used the Shooting Range. There's a separate counter, well marked, to check in for a lane. If you're a first timer, you'll need to sign a Liability Waiver (valid for 12 months) that will cost you $5. The waiver is transferable to Greenwood, Merriville and Indy North Shoot Point Blanks stores. They offer handguns ($10), long guns ($15), and specialty gun ($25) rentals. Range Time is $14 per 1/2 hour and $20 per hour. Add one additional shooter per lane for $10. You'll find Weekday Specials such as lunch time (11a - 2p) for $10 for a 1/2 hour. There are ladies, seniors, Family Day (2 shooters), police/military and date night specials. Check them out. The 25 yard lanes are separated into two areas, the Red and Orange Lanes. You must have eye and ear protection in order to enter the range (available to rent). The lanes are nice with 6 foot tables in the back to reload and grab items in your bags. Each lane has a coat hook as well as target clamps on the outside of the lane. The shooter's ledge is wide enough to hold your guns and at a comfortable height. Lanes are clean and a Range Safety Officer is physically in the lane area for questions and to enforce Safety Rules. We spent a quick hour practicing with several different types of guns. It is amazing how quickly an hour goes when you're at the range, especially if you have two shooters on a lane. All types of training (in-house and on-line) classes are available from beginner's to accuracy mastery. The trainers are experienced and professionals for each class offered and the monthly class schedule is online. We did check out a few guns before we left. Each Shoot Point Blank has over 500 guns (handguns and long guns) in stock as well as ammo, storage and firearm accessories. If they don't have what you want, they will order for you. We had a great time and the employees were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Shoot Point Blank doesn't replace our main shooting range in Avon but it is a very nice range and we'll be back sometime soon.

I've been able to take my kids to the range with me included in the membership and the safety officers are super friendly and helped us when trying out some new rental guns and giving tips to us when trying new platforms. I would recommend this shop to anyone who needs something embroidered and wants to have the absolute best service. If you're looking for mediocre service with average execution, go somewhere else. My experience with Webster's Sporting Goods could not have been any better. I had called several other embroidery shops in the area and I could not find a single one that would personally embroider one item. So, one week before Christmas, I walked into Webster's with a desperate plea to have an apron embroidered. Not only was it a week before Christmas, but I needed to have the item finished in 2.5 days. I was not expecting to be able to pull it off, but I thought it was worth a shot to ask them anyway. When I entered the shop, I was greeted by a man who was much friendlier than I expected for a busy shop employee around the holidays. He was so nice and not only took the apron but also helped me decide where and how to embroider it. He (Mike is his name) then helped me narrow down some fonts and ultimately I allowed him to use his discretion on what type of font to use in the location that we chose. Mike told me that he wasn't entirely sure if they would be able to finish the job by Friday, but he would give me a call either way so I could come pick it up. Mike and the rest of the team put me so at ease when I was in such a panic about getting this item embroidered on time. Even if they weren't able to get it finished, I was so happy about the way I was treated at their shop. Fast forward to the next day, yes the NEXT DAY, and I get a call from Mike telling me that the apron is finished. Not only did they get the job done for me, but they got it done EARLY. During the holiday season. WOW!!!! Color me impressed. I went to pick the item up, and I was again greeted by Mike, who remembered me BY NAME. He handed me the apron to review and I was stunned with how great it looked. It was better than I could have imagined on my own. To top it off, when I asked them if I could please tip since they did such an extraordinarily good job, I was told instead to donate to a charity of my choice. Holy smokes. I only wish I had more things to embroider so I could give Webster's more of my business. To say I'll be returning is an understatement.
