Martin completed our initial estimate, and at first the communication was great. Unfortunately, after that, things started going downhill. It's disappointing because I really wanted to love this company, but the entire experience has been filled with frustrations, constant follow-ups, and having to ask why things weren't getting done. On the first day of the project, the crew arrived and began measuring the area. They knocked on my door because they wanted to confirm some measurements. When I went outside, they explained that the measurements Martin had provided seemed off and that the border where the plants were supposed to go was much wider than expected. I agreed and told them that wasn't what Martin and I had discussed. I immediately called Martin and explained that the measurements were incorrect and did not match the design photo I had been shown. He told me he had used Google Maps for measurements and that sometimes it's not accurate. I was shocked because I specifically thought he had physically measured the area himself. He then informed me that additional materials would be needed, resulting in an extra cost of approximately $1,900 for more pavers and artificial grass. I explained that this was not my mistake and that it was his responsibility to ensure the measurements were accurate. I had asked multiple times if the quoted amount was final because one of my biggest concerns was avoiding a seam in the artificial grass. While he ultimately corrected the issue without charging me the additional amount, I still ended up with a visible seam running through the grass. Which I'm not happy about still. We also added a raised seating area with lighting. After installation, the area had a significant slope that was very noticeable. When I brought it to their attention, they explained that some slope was necessary for water runoff. However, this wasn't a slight slope it looked more like a sunken area on one side of the square. They eventually came back and corrected it. The pavers have also been an ongoing issue. They were uneven and not properly leveled. The company has returned twice to address the problem. While there has been some improvement, it still isn't what I would consider acceptable, and the unevenness remains noticeable. The plants they installed also began drying out. They had to return twice to address that issue as well, but only after delays and on their own schedule. Currently, I still have cracked pavers, chipped pieces, and stained pavers that need to be replaced. I am still waiting for a response regarding these issues. Once again, everything seems to be handled at their convenience rather than with urgency or concern for customer satisfaction. My overall impression is that once the company secures the job, customer service significantly declines. The quality issues, lack of communication, repeated repairs, and delays have made what should have been an exciting project into a frustrating experience. Called US Turf on Tuesday wanting to get an estimate done later in the week or next week. Spoke with Amanda and was told I was set up for yesterday Thursday morning 3/19 at 10:00 AM. Got a text to confirm that morning. Confirmed. It's almost noon Friday as of this posting 0 communication. I literally woke up "early" as my shift runs in the evening/night time and they didn't show up. Supposedly a 10A-2P window and didn't receive a text or call update. Was on the hook that whole. Leaves a really a bad impression. Will consider others now with the first being Bully Turf to see if they're more professional. read more

We hired Usturf for our backyard project, including installing irrigation and preparing the soil for Kurapia ground cover based on their recommendation. I want to start by giving credit to the installation crew. They were professional, hardworking, and did an excellent job. Luis, in particular, was outstanding and made the installation experience a positive one. Unfortunately, everything that happened afterward completely changed my opinion of the company. Within a week, all of the Kurapia died. The supplier came out to investigate and concluded the issue was related to the soil preparation, not the plants. They even offered to replace all of the Kurapia at no charge, but recommended correcting the soil first so the replacement wouldn't fail as well. Since Usturf designed and installed both the irrigation and soil preparation, I contacted them for help. Instead of taking ownership, I spent nearly three weeks hearing "today," "tomorrow," or "next week." Eventually, my calls stopped being answered. When I called the office, the person who answered was dismissive, repeatedly interrupted me before I could explain the situation, and wasn't interested in understanding what had happened. I was simply told the soil came from Star Nursery, as if that somehow made it someone else's responsibility. That's not how customer service works. If something goes wrong with a project, the customer shouldn't be expected to sort out which supplier was responsible. I hired Usturf to plan and install the project, so I expected Usturf to stand behind their work and help resolve the issue. I was also told someone would call me back after speaking with the project manager. That callback never came. Mistakes happen. What matters is how a company responds when something goes wrong. Unfortunately, the lack of communication, accountability, and follow-through was far more disappointing than the original problem itself. At this point, there's no need to contact me anymore. I'll simply continue sharing my experience so other homeowners know what to expect before choosing Usturf. read more

This place is a hot mess. I made an appointment, received a confirmation email, and then no one showed up. After several calls and emails, I was told it "never happens" and was a one-off system glitch. Based on the reviews, that's clearly not true. They eventually sent an estimator after 2 PM. He spent maybe 10-15 minutes with us, barely measured anything, and looked at a few AI renderings we shared for inspiration. We were told we'd have something by Tuesday. Wednesday I followed up and was told they were waiting for the owner to approve it. It's now Sunday and I'm done wasting my time. Every other landscape company we've met with spent at least 30 minutes measuring, asking questions, and discussing the project. This did not feel like a serious company, and I certainly wouldn't trust them with a $10,000+ job. And before anyone responds trying to rewrite what happened: I have the receipts. I would recommend US Turf for sure, I got 5 quotes from different companies and they have the lowest quote but had the highest quality turf, and they gave me more for less. The other companies ranged from $23,000 more to $10,000 more and their turf was lower quality, they didn't have the length and height of the planter bed, those quotes also had a lot of rock to try and cut costs. Overall this quality and quantity I got from US Turf far exceeded all the other companies. They did everything I asked and some! Only critique is their communication could use a little work but nothing that would be a deal breaker. Crew was professional and showed up on time everyday. I would like to share my experience with US TURF. I chose them to do our backyard for my new home. I would say during the estimate there was a bunch of back and forth and I was left un answered a couple times but it was a process. After when I had Kevin and his team doing our backyard. The workers and Kevin did EXACTLY what I asked for and did such an amazing job on my backyard. Even when I had a concern or issue Kevin and the team immediately listen and helped out with what I wanted or any minor details. I couldn't have been more satisfied. They also finished extremely quickly 3 days total. I did have an issue with water leaking onto my neighbors yard and it took almost two months for it to be resolved to the point where HOA was getting involved but they still resolved the manner. How this company has so many good reviews is beyond me. We went with them because they had good reviews and boy was that a mistake. At first it seemed great. When I first contacted them, they were very responsive and Luke came out quickly to provide a quote. After going back and forth a few times to make some changes we decided to go with them. They said they could provide a drawing ahead of time to give to the HOA if necessary before getting on the schedule. We didn't need HOA approval, which I informed them of, so we got on the schedule quickly. Fast forward to scheduled install day. We were told they would be coming on Thursday. They couldn't provide us with a timeframe until the day before... Not great, but thought they might have other projects they're finishing up so I let it slide. They said between 12 pm - 2 pm. Nobody came during the scheduled time besides chat being dropped off in front of our house. No contact or anything. I informed Luke that nobody came and he called me at 4 pm saying the crew would be there within minutes. He then asked what the plan for the yard was because they hadn't drawn up any plans. Another red flag where we should have pulled the plug. Nobody ended up coming that night and I tried contacting Luke at 6:30 pm but he didn't get back to me until the following day. All he said was he was trying to get an ETA from the crew. Not even an apology for them not showing up. After multiple conversations with him over the weekend trying to find out when the project was starting, I was surprised to come home Monday morning to find a "crew" working in my yard. By crew I mean 2 guys, which seems absurd to me for a project this size. Our yard isn't big, but is more than a 2 person job in over 100 degree weather in my opinion. Neither of them spoke any English. Luckily I speak Spanish, but this makes communication nearly impossible for non Spanish speakers. I had to tell them the plans for the yard when I thought a plan would have been drawn up for them. They pretty much told me they were sent over that morning because I kept bothering them for the project not having started yet. Keep in mind this is now 4 days after the proposed start date and we weren't informed when they actually did arrive. The project took 3 days, and on the last day when it finished, I was at work and my wife (who doesn't speak Spanish) did the walk through of the yard when completed. From what she could see it looked good and the crew went on their way. The following day she noticed a spot that looked like it was either burned or looked like a tire mark. We had specific window tint for turf professionally installed to prevent turf burn days before the original install date. The spot was also right behind the gate that was open when she looked at the yard so she wouldn't have been able to see it initially. We contacted Luke about this and he said to email them and they'd get us on the repair list. We emailed a picture to them and they patronizingly told us we had the wrong type of tint and that it wasn't like that during install and there was nothing they could do for us. Overall, a terrible experience from communication to customer service and providing a quality product. I DO NOT recommend them and would warn anyone against using them. read more

Communication was great after our estimate, probably because they wanted our business. Installers arrived the first day, well I should say one of them. Originally said it would be completed in 2-3 days. The 2nd day of installation one of the workers quit so it took a total of 4 days. Our original order had some pavers, white g we were told would arrive before the 3rd day. Needless to say, the pavers were never ordered so they were not installed by the 4th day. On a Sunday,, the installer told us he would be there to finish the job. He never showed up and didn't inform us he wouldn't be coming. This is very bad business practices. We were very upset and disappointed We had to call the business several times for an update for the pavers. since no one was reaching out to us. About a week after completion, an installer randomly showed up at our house without any notice. We have an aggressive dog that needs to be locked inside and a phone call from the business to inform us someone was going to come that day to install the pavers would have been respectful and good business practice. They were so meticulous. We thought, after they left, we had a problem with the turf-there was a small line going down the middle. Found out it was just the way it had been rolled prior to installing. It's even almost disappeared now. The owner even took the time to come out to our house to inspect it. We're done with this company. Don't want anything from them at this point and won't be needing anything from them again. Their turf installed in our backyard is degrading and burning in numerous areas nowhere near any reflective items and they refuse to accept responsibility for it. The worst is near a fence and originally we accepted that it was our problem but after their project manager came out and pointed out other areas burning, it became obvious to us this turf is of poor quality. After looking up images of burnt turf, we couldn't find any that resembled what ours is doing. This includes a picture left in a review for this company. We never communicated this to them, because it become obvious they just don't care about our situation. We've looked all throughout this valley trying to find areas of turf that are burnt and can't seem to find any. After reading through other reviews, it's very obvious the games this company plays. They definitely try to turn it on their customers once you voice your opinion publicly. The initial installs in our backyard left us cleaning up a lot on our own. We looked past this, never left any reviews until recently. Gave them chances to own this situation and they chose not to. Money down the drain. I just LOVE this company!  We had purchased a new build and for a year could not decide what to do with the backyard.  We had multiple quotes and still could not make a decision.  We called US Turf out again for a second quote because they were who we liked the best.  I worked with Gage to design it.  He was helpful, had great ideas and was very responsive and kind.  The day they started a seven man crew arrived and started right away.  The guys working were awesome!  I cannot say enough good things about Leo and his team.  They were professional, friendly, worked so hard and always cleaned up at the end of everyday.  Our neighbors even commented on their professionalism.  There were a few minor unforeseen things popup which no one could control but Leo always had a solution with options for me.    Keven the project manager was also great and has continued to impress us.  He arrived and introduced himself and assured me everything would be taken care of.  He meant it.  He stayed in contact with me even after the project was complete to make sure everything was perfect.  He was also very professional, easy to communicate with and cares that you're happy with their services.  Salvador the chauffer and Alex from the maintenance crew were also really nice and helpful. Lakeview Patios, the company they use to build the patio covers was also amazing.  The owners Corky and John were great to work with and understood exactly what I wanted.  The patio cover is beautiful, modern and sleek. I couldn't be happier. The neighbors keep saying we have the best yard in the neighborhood and are asking for the company's info.  I am so happy we chose to go with US Turf.  If you are on the fence about who to choose, don't be. We are new to installing artificial grass and were not aware that this could happen. They had a chance to get a good review but blew that out of the water by lying, making threats and trying to intimidate us into paying for a job that was not done as promised. The owner Dorico is an EXTREMELY unprofessional jerk and should expect to have a complaint filed with the BBB if he doesn't remedy our situation ASAP. When I'm spending in excess of $15,000 on a project, I expect to be treated like my satisfaction matters. Additionally, we were doing a second job at my in-law's house and the quality was awful (pavers not lined up properly; turf not properly finished, etc.). The entire time we were doing this project, a project that was supposed to take a week and which is now on month 3 and still not completed to our satisfaction, we had to babysit their workers constantly. The crew worked extremely hard and were responsible but because of the poor management we needed to check every single thing. If we didn't review everything, nothing would be done right. They also did not cover our sport court and got a ton of sand under the tiles, requiring a cleaning after we had warned them to cover the court. It's never a good sign when you start to consider hiring an attorney when dealing with a contractor...but here I am looking at that very situation. read more

Roughly one year ago I hired them to do by new home build backyard, including turf, landscaping, pavers, and a patio cover. I loved what they did so much, they were my first choice when I decided this month to put in a paver path from my driveway, through the side gate, and connecting to the backyard pavers. They listened to what I wanted each time, and made the vision happen. The quality of their work is top notch - one year later and no issues, and I'm sure I'll be able to say the same for this latest job. I've worked with Jarrett (one year ago) and most recently Ami as my lead project coordinators, and I have to say, both of their communication skills are TERRIFIC. They are pleasant to talk to, easily reachable, and respond expediently to any and all my questions, clarifications, ans design changes! They worked with me to get my project into their calendars as soon as possible, and kept me informed the whole way. I appreciated their patience and diligence so much.
