Called US Turf on Tuesday wanting to get an estimate done later in the week or next week. Spoke with Amanda and was told I was set up for yesterday Thursday morning 3/19 at 10:00 AM. Got a text to confirm that morning. Confirmed. It's almost noon Friday as of this posting 0 communication. I literally woke up "early" as my shift runs in the evening/night time and they didn't show up. Supposedly a 10A-2P window and didn't receive a text or call update. Was on the hook that whole. Leaves a really a bad impression. Will consider others now with the first being Bully Turf to see if they're more professional. read more

Martin completed our initial estimate, and at first the communication was great. Unfortunately, after that, things started going downhill. It's disappointing because I really wanted to love this company, but the entire experience has been filled with frustrations, constant follow-ups, and having to ask why things weren't getting done. On the first day of the project, the crew arrived and began measuring the area. They knocked on my door because they wanted to confirm some measurements. When I went outside, they explained that the measurements Martin had provided seemed off and that the border where the plants were supposed to go was much wider than expected. I agreed and told them that wasn't what Martin and I had discussed. I immediately called Martin and explained that the measurements were incorrect and did not match the design photo I had been shown. He told me he had used Google Maps for measurements and that sometimes it's not accurate. I was shocked because I specifically thought he had physically measured the area himself. He then informed me that additional materials would be needed, resulting in an extra cost of approximately $1,900 for more pavers and artificial grass. I explained that this was not my mistake and that it was his responsibility to ensure the measurements were accurate. I had asked multiple times if the quoted amount was final because one of my biggest concerns was avoiding a seam in the artificial grass. While he ultimately corrected the issue without charging me the additional amount, I still ended up with a visible seam running through the grass. Which I'm not happy about still. We also added a raised seating area with lighting. After installation, the area had a significant slope that was very noticeable. When I brought it to their attention, they explained that some slope was necessary for water runoff. However, this wasn't a slight slope it looked more like a sunken area on one side of the square. They eventually came back and corrected it. The pavers have also been an ongoing issue. They were uneven and not properly leveled. The company has returned twice to address the problem. While there has been some improvement, it still isn't what I would consider acceptable, and the unevenness remains noticeable. The plants they installed also began drying out. They had to return twice to address that issue as well, but only after delays and on their own schedule. Currently, I still have cracked pavers, chipped pieces, and stained pavers that need to be replaced. I am still waiting for a response regarding these issues. Once again, everything seems to be handled at their convenience rather than with urgency or concern for customer satisfaction. My overall impression is that once the company secures the job, customer service significantly declines. The quality issues, lack of communication, repeated repairs, and delays have made what should have been an exciting project into a frustrating experience. How this company has so many good reviews is beyond me. We went with them because they had good reviews and boy was that a mistake. At first it seemed great. When I first contacted them, they were very responsive and Luke came out quickly to provide a quote. After going back and forth a few times to make some changes we decided to go with them. They said they could provide a drawing ahead of time to give to the HOA if necessary before getting on the schedule. We didn't need HOA approval, which I informed them of, so we got on the schedule quickly. Fast forward to scheduled install day. We were told they would be coming on Thursday. They couldn't provide us with a timeframe until the day before... Not great, but thought they might have other projects they're finishing up so I let it slide. They said between 12 pm - 2 pm. Nobody came during the scheduled time besides chat being dropped off in front of our house. No contact or anything. I informed Luke that nobody came and he called me at 4 pm saying the crew would be there within minutes. He then asked what the plan for the yard was because they hadn't drawn up any plans. Another red flag where we should have pulled the plug. Nobody ended up coming that night and I tried contacting Luke at 6:30 pm but he didn't get back to me until the following day. All he said was he was trying to get an ETA from the crew. Not even an apology for them not showing up. After multiple conversations with him over the weekend trying to find out when the project was starting, I was surprised to come home Monday morning to find a "crew" working in my yard. By crew I mean 2 guys, which seems absurd to me for a project this size. Our yard isn't big, but is more than a 2 person job in over 100 degree weather in my opinion. Neither of them spoke any English. Luckily I speak Spanish, but this makes communication nearly impossible for non Spanish speakers. I had to tell them the plans for the yard when I thought a plan would have been drawn up for them. They pretty much told me they were sent over that morning because I kept bothering them for the project not having started yet. Keep in mind this is now 4 days after the proposed start date and we weren't informed when they actually did arrive. The project took 3 days, and on the last day when it finished, I was at work and my wife (who doesn't speak Spanish) did the walk through of the yard when completed. From what she could see it looked good and the crew went on their way. The following day she noticed a spot that looked like it was either burned or looked like a tire mark. We had specific window tint for turf professionally installed to prevent turf burn days before the original install date. The spot was also right behind the gate that was open when she looked at the yard so she wouldn't have been able to see it initially. We contacted Luke about this and he said to email them and they'd get us on the repair list. We emailed a picture to them and they patronizingly told us we had the wrong type of tint and that it wasn't like that during install and there was nothing they could do for us. The workers and Kevin did EXACTLY what I asked for and did such an amazing job on my backyard. Even when I had a concern or issue Kevin and the team immediately listen and helped out with what I wanted or any minor details. I couldn't have been more satisfied. Communication was great after our estimate, probably because they wanted our business. Installers arrived the first day, well I should say one of them. Originally said it would be completed in 2-3 days. The 2nd day of installation one of the workers quit so it took a total of 4 days. Our original order had some pavers, white g we were told would arrive before the 3rd day. Needless to say, the pavers were never ordered so they were not installed by the 4th day. On a Sunday,, the installer told us he would be there to finish the job. He never showed up and didn't inform us he wouldn't be coming. This is very bad business practices. We were very upset and disappointed We had to call the business several times for an update for the pavers. since no one was reaching out to us. About a week after completion, an installer randomly showed up at our house without any notice. We have an aggressive dog that needs to be locked inside and a phone call from the business to inform us someone was going to come that day to install the pavers would have been respectful and good business practice. Martin sales person and the Turf team did a great and thorough job on our front lawn turf. they came early every day and completed the job in about 3 1/2 days. They cleaned up after themselves homeowners approved everything SNWA approved it city of Henderson and approved it. All rebates will be coming back. Even though there were some things they needed to change after they left to cut roots away from tree, etc., and redo they did it in a timely way and a very thorough way.. We're done with this company. Don't want anything from them at this point and won't be needing anything from them again. Their turf installed in our backyard is degrading and burning in numerous areas nowhere near any reflective items and they refuse to accept responsibility for it. The worst is near a fence and originally we accepted that it was our problem but after their project manager came out and pointed out other areas burning, it became obvious to us this turf is of poor quality. After looking up images of burnt turf, we couldn't find any that resembled what ours is doing. This includes a picture left in a review for this company. We never communicated this to them, because it become obvious they just don't care about our situation. We've looked all throughout this valley trying to find areas of turf that are burnt and can't seem to find any. After reading through other reviews, it's very obvious the games this company plays. They had a chance to get a good review but blew that out of the water by lying, making threats and trying to intimidate us into paying for a job that was not done as promised. The owner Dorico is an EXTREMELY unprofessional jerk and should expect to have a complaint filed with the BBB if he doesn't remedy our situation ASAP. When I'm spending in excess of $15,000 on a project, I expect to be treated like my satisfaction matters. Additionally, we were doing a second job at my in-law's house and the quality was awful (pavers not lined up properly; turf not properly finished, etc.). The entire time we were doing this project, a project that was supposed to take a week and which is now on month 3 and still not completed to our satisfaction, we had to babysit their workers constantly. The crew worked extremely hard and were responsible but because of the poor management we needed to check every single thing. If we didn't review everything, nothing would be done right. They also did not cover our sport court and got a ton of sand under the tiles, requiring a cleaning after we had warned them to cover the court. It's never a good sign when you start to consider hiring an attorney when dealing with a contractor...but here I am looking at that very situation. read more

I went with US Turf because of their great reviews. Things started off good. Remington was very prompt and helpful with getting things going. Then the turf went in and it wasn't what I asked for. So we hit a rough patch there. However, Remington and the company resolved it and we're very happy with the final results. I think our experience underlines the importance of looking into a company. I've known too many people who tried to save a buck and when they don't get what they ask for, they never hear from the business or person again and end up losing money. I have worked with US Turf on two separate occasions, and have had nothing but excellent work each time! Roughly one year ago I hired them to do by new home build backyard, including turf, landscaping, pavers, and a patio cover. I loved what they did so much, they were my first choice when I decided this month to put in a paver path from my driveway, through the side gate, and connecting to the backyard pavers. They listened to what I wanted each time, and made the vision happen. The quality of their work is top notch - one year later and no issues, and I'm sure I'll be able to say the same for this latest job. I've worked with Jarrett (one year ago) and most recently Ami as my lead project coordinators, and I have to say, both of their communication skills are TERRIFIC. They are pleasant to talk to, easily reachable, and respond expediently to any and all my questions, clarifications, ans design changes! They worked with me to get my project into their calendars as soon as possible, and kept me informed the whole way. I appreciated their patience and diligence so much. This latest project in particular, they were supposed to be completed on a certain day, and when they weren't done yet, Ami kept in close contact with me, letting me know each step of the way which crew was coming, when they would be expected to be done, etc. I even saw Ami pop up on my home security cameras a few times to double-check their work - I appreciate the quality assurance checks! Pavers were moved and unprofessionally placed grass was cut even shorter and the cement work was poorly done. I spoke to a project manager who agreed with the work done, he stated he would be in charge of fixing everything for us. Two weeks later nothing has been done at our home, I called the company just to find out that employee hasn't shown up to work in the last 2 weeks.
