I must say my overall experience storing with US Storage Centers (Charleston/Durango) has been exceptional and second to none. Starting with Day 1 in getting a ride in the golf cart from Jeff all the way from the office to my unit as he gave me a brief tour of the property along the way, really felt like VIP treatment. Furthermore, Jenny at the front office has always been a pleasure to work with and there to handle any questions I had or to help facilitate and process payment for me from time to time. WARNING BE SMART AND BE SURE to read their rental agreement VERY carefully! This entity has an attorney write up their contracts in legalese. If you're not a trained attorney or law professional that is versed in legal jargon, you could potentially put yourself in a compromising position with this company if you rent or are CURRENTLY renting a storage unit from them. They have found a sneaky way to extort you via their contracts in regards to their unnecessary requirement to prove you have insurance on your belongings. If you don't presently have insurance or cannot afford insurance on your own accord, they will pressure/extort you into paying $12 a month for their so-called "protection plan" to "satisfy" their requirement for insurance. This is unacceptable. This provision is set-up solely with the intention to unfairly make you pay for a protection plan you don't need so they can optimize their profits. Collectively speaking regarding the terms of their contracts, THEY WILL NOT COVER ANYTHING! WARNING If I rent a unit from this company, I assume the risk of storing my belongings at this location, therefore, insurance/protection plans should be OPTIONAL, not required. I should have the right to be able to make the decision to acquire insurance/protection plan at my own discretion without being forced. This is a "choose your poison" type of situation. Either get your own insurance (even if you don't need it) or pay $12 per month for our protection plan. Not everyone needs insurance or a protection plan. Their contracts are worded to benefit THEM NOT YOU. BTW: I called around and there are many other competitors nearby this location that do not require insurance or a protection plan to rent a unit from them. I have had a unit at this facility for almost five years. Prior to Jenny and Jeff being here I was never asked if everything was ok, much less a simple smile and wave. I can not speak highly enough about Jenny and Jeff and the amazing customer service they provide. I am not just another unit number. The condition of the facility itself has changed night and day. It no longer feels desolate or on its last leg. This facility is very well kept. At night the lights do a wonderful job making you feel safe and comfortable to go about your business. The ineptitude of the management of this facility nearly put me in a bind with the storage of my RV. I had arranged for a vacant covered parking spot (#53) on 2/24. My move in was scheduled for 3/6. I called the facility on 3/2 to request a earlier move in, 3/4. I was told "no problem, we will see you on Monday". With that being said I notified my current facility that I would be moving out. Well, on moving day I drove to the facility and discovered that they had given my space to someone else. The lady working there said that the information in their computer indicated that the space should be mine and that someone must have ignored or overridden that information. It turns out that an existing tenant moved into the space on 2/26 and that information was available when I had called on 3/2. They did offer me an alternate space that was too small and another that was in direct afternoon sun. I declined. I spoke with upper management and they offered the same thing. Luckily my current facility allowed me to come back. Things happen for a reason. If they can't get a reservation right how much confidence should one have in their ability to safely store anything. read more

We were welcomed,assisted and treated very well by Jenny and Marquis We did not notice any questionable insurance demands per contract. I must first start by saying moving is stressful as it is but finding storage space in Vegas is impossible but it can obviously be done. I came to Us storage in need of a 10x15 unit and they were amazing. I received a 33% off discount for my first 2 months and even received abit of friendly advice on where my boxes for moving would be cheapest even though it was not beneficial to them. I can always respect when someone is actually not trying to screw me over and capitalize on me. But every corporation is like this right?? Am I right?? Lol..Anyway Jenny and Jeff were also very pleasant and helpful answering any questions I have had. Also, super cool side note normally they close the gates at 9pm and if u are not out by then your car, truck or etc.. You are locked in until the next morning but I explained my move would required extra time after 9pm and Jenny( God bless her!!! Lol) extended the gate time til midnight so I could finish my move and wouldn't have to sleep in my moving truck. That's being said every experience is what we as individuals bring to it and I can honestly say. If you are looking for a place where they will give you a deal and work wit you. This is it.
