I am a world traveler and often or not I require the services of storage facilities. I have moved…read moremore than 40 times in the last two years because of my occupation. I tried several storage facilities, but when I contacted this company I enjoyed the online presence customer service, they were welcoming and very informative. he directed me to the local facility where I met a wonderful lady named KAY. Kay is very personable, she even opened the door for me upon entrance. She knew her job, she was well prepared and she was patient. We visited the spaces that I requested and she even took her time walking as to ensure that she didn't run off and leave me...lol I was very impressed by the cleanliness of the facility, from the restrooms through to the spaces. on top of all of that, the prices were lovely. I got an RV space and a 10 X 15 air conditioned space.

Can you imagine going to target and purchasing something for a few hundred dollars and then they go oh by the way, if you wanna pay us, we have a $2.30 pay us fee. That's what this place does they have a pay fee? Not only do they want their storage fee but they want $2.30 to help them With their internal fees. It's just a bunch of BS. They're greedy based on my personal experience. Oh, and by the way, they don't have any carts if there's one guy there unloading a load. You're not gonna have a cart and they've got some carts without even handles which make them useless, like I said they've got one, maybe 2 carts for the whole place that I was able to find! Hundreds of units in this facility and only one cart. Which says...I don't care about you as a customer. If you enjoy being frustrated while trying to store your personal belongings... This just may be the place for you!! Edit. It's funny when reading the other reviews over the last two or three years they all seem to be the same negative experience everybody having the same problems. Then there's this guy from corporate that comes on and gives this lip service. Please contact us. Well, if this situation wasn't reoccurring over and over with different people, there'd be no reason to contact them. You'll be getting positive reviews instead of negative ones that you have to do lip service. Kind of crazy business plan. Good luck renters. You may need it. With the break ins and robberies listed in the other reviews.

We originally stopped in a little over a year ago and met the couple who runs the place, and I was immediately blown away by their customer service and genuine kindness. They made sure we were signed up for the online internet special (thanks Yelp/Google!), walked us through insurance options, helped us choose the right space, and had us all set the same day. Super easy, zero stress. Fast forward about a year and a half later, we called to ask about cancellation. To our surprise, they remembered us right away. They talked us through timing and options, and we decided to use the final month to move everything out and sort through boxes. When we came in to wrap things up, they already had our account pulled up and let us know everything was good to go. They were incredibly sweet from start to finish. We've already recommended Golden State Storage to our parents and will absolutely continue recommending them to anyone who needs storage.
