Been downsizing so I can move from the 10x10 unit into a smaller and cheaper storage space. To that end, I reserved a 8x10 and planned the move. Unfortunately, the unit I reserved online that was advertised as 8x10 was barely 6'9" x 8'4" once I showed up to move in. This is much smaller than 8x10 and it's frankly the difference between a comfortable fit or needing to bring boxes back home. The 8x10 they advertise is closer to a 7x8. I brought up this issue with the employees at the desk and they pointed out the fine print that says the size is "approximate." To me, approximate means a few inches, not feet. Overall, the facility is clean and nice, but the customer service needs a lot of work. When moving out of the 10x10, the employee at the desk, the call center, and the location manager all gave me conflicting information about their move-out policy, which ended up costing me approximately $150 because I did not get the refund I was expecting and had to pay for the 8x10 I reserved earlier than necessary. My experience moving out of the 10x10 is detailed in a previous review. This is specifically a review of moving into the advertised 8x10, which is not even close to that size. Do they pick up the phone? Only when there's someone at the desk. Very often there is only 1 employee there, especially on weekends and they will lock up the office if they are busy with another customer or out to lunch. Also, check your invoice! We signed a lease agreement for $206.50. When we got the first invoice, they were charging us $228.50. When I asked to correct it, the property manager said the amount is closer to $240, which I never would have agreed to in the first place. Like what is this bait and switch? He said he would do his best, but it's not guaranteed. I was shocked he couldn't fix it on the spot and that he couldn't guarantee us the price for the lease amount we signed just because he messed up and entered the incorrect amount and never told us. No one wants to take responsibility there. Lastly, when they offer a promo like 50% off the first 2 months, be aware that partial months count as full months. So if you move in the last week of a month, your first month of 50% off is only for a week. They will NOT explain this to you. They will say you get 50% off the first 2 months. When I asked about this and said that's not 2 months, the property manager Landon said "if you don't like it, you can move out."

do not use this storage facility! my key would not open the required cylinder lock even though im the only one who has the keys and code. without explaining how/why this was possible, they made me pay $50 to open lock and $20 to replace it. site mgr christina was not helpful. i asked that they comp just the replacement lock as a courtesy for the inconvenience but she wouldnt. i must add that ryan in the office was extremely helpful, understanding, and sympathetic. but unfortunately it was not his decision to make.

They even have a system if you want to donate stuff! The security system only allows you to get off at your unit floor only. Awesome...

SO awesome! I stopped by spontaneously and there was a truck in front that says "free use" if you rent with them! I just immediately got a unit because: - clean place/office - safe area - free truck use to move stuff!! No need for a uhaul! - great price - super nice staff - the process of signing up was easy I'm actually really thrilled! Super productive this morning!

Had a great first storage experience here while working with Mengjie, who showed me several different units and found one that would accommodate my needs for temporary relocation at a reasonable price with no long term contract. So I needed to find a place nearby that would provide safe storage at a reasonable price. Luckily for me, I found one really close to my previous home. I was helped by Mengjie who was very helpful and polite. We saw a few different storage sizes and I went with the one that best suited my needs. We check several storages in the Los Angeles County and upon entering the Freeway, I decided to stop by. The staff was polite and very helpful. They show us a variety of different types of unit. If you go to Yelp, you are able to receive 2 months of 50 percent off your unit. Did I mention that they have a moving truck to use "Frer". Cleon is superb. read more

I had extensive damage to my property due to excessive mold and humidity in the basement of this facility. The staff were not helpful. I was told it was "unusual" for me to expect the unit to be kept dry. Eventually, I moved out, and they said they would refund me for part of an unused month (haven't seen it yet). As for the many months I spent trying to mitigate the excessive humidity with desiccant and plastic, only to have everything destroyed--nothing. I also had an experience with a homeless person living in a 5x5 in the basement. Avoid this facility at all costs. read more

This storage is reliable and secured. The customer service presented in this storage is really great! Ive rented this storage for a couple months now and I have no complaints what's so ever about this Us Storage. I would highly recommend this storage center. I have used the facility for over 3 years. Location is easy to access, security is great. For nearly 4 years I rented a unit here, I always found the facility clean and safe along with awesome customer service from Mengjie / Nichole. The facility is easily located off the freeway which made it convenient to visit when needed. Great experience working with their office and knowing my things were in good hands gave me peace of mind. read more

The building and staff are fine. Beware of late fees 14 days late and the charge me $37.00 extra. I also complained about having to pay for ins. I think it should optional. They could have customers sign a wavier. This place is very secure I see no reason to carry ins. read more

It is my first time renting a self-storage, but I couldn't have asked for a better customer services from Daisy. Daisy was such a pleasure to speak with on the phone and also in person. Is definitely a 5 star for Customer Service provided by Daisy and the special low prices. However, I deducted 1 star because I feel the storage unit needs some interior face left for the 3 walls and should add a battery operated "Sensor Brite Overlite" that activates by motion for each unit. (Note: The Sensor Brite Overlite only cost $11 each) read more

This place is FANTASTIC! I came here and as soon as I walked in the door the customer service was phenomenal. I was helped by Cleo, the manager. She's pretty amazing! She answered all my questions and was so helpful and friendly. She made me feel very comfortable choosing US storage in Alhambra. The place is super clean and it smelled good! I made that coment as soon as walked in :) The process to get the unit was easy too. And everything was explained in full details. She was very professional! This was such a wonderful experience. I was looking for a storage facility to hold all my furniture while we look for a new home. We found US Storage Center in Alhambra and we are thankful we did. The facilities are clean. I have been to others and they are nowhere near as clean. We rented two 10x13 units on the first floor, which made things much easier for our movers. There is also plenty of air circulation so no excess amount of dust will settle on your stuff. The rental process was straightforward and there were no hidden charges. The price was reasonable compared to similar units in Alhambra and Pasadena. They also allow free use of a move in truck. You just have to call in to reserve it. read more

I think it was comical that I chose a storage place on a whim. Maybe after listening to George Carlin's "STUFF" comedy on youtube. I went in thinking I'd get the cold shoulder, but I was treated extremely well. The guy who helped me was Diego and he answered every question I threw at him. The place was clean, convenient, and quick. It's also off the I-10 and Fremont exit so you can't miss it. They had a great promotion online and I took it. They may have one so you may want to check their website. This is an "Indoor" storage place with several floors, including a climate controlled basement floor to protect your valuables from the heat. Storage unit has high ceiling, so you can "stack" and save. So far so good, I now have a place to store a lot of stuff that I can't possibly throw away yet I don't have room for. Living in the S.G.V. living space is at a premium, and putting stuff outside can lead to lots of sun/ water damage, spiders/bug damage, and lots of dust/dirt, because of wind kicking up dirt from unwatered lawns. And someone may take your stuff from your porch or backyard. Diego was real cool, I mean this guy deserves a raise, and all the others were nice to me too. Did I say there's NO contract? read more

The insurance is Fraud too, will never respond or payout a claim. They will only take your money. Well the first time I found the infestation in 2022 I made a claim and nothing, no response at all. Had to throw out a ton of items. Afterwards I had the unit cleaned and even swept. Well went this weekend to move out of the storage and long and behold another rodent infestation but 100 times worst even now. And the first time I even found a dead mouse. Now this time I had to throw away so many items. But what was upsetting was I had to throw away my blanket I've had since my childhood and I no longer have either one of my parents. Here they charge you a good amount to rent. So when you pay for a facility to store your valuable items you expect your items to be there in the condition you stored them in. You don't expect to come back and have to throw away your items. And when I called them to let them know, the guy in the office tried to gaslight me and somehow blame me. Like we don't know what you store??? Are you serious???? Take responsibility as a business to have the proper maintenance to not have a serious rodent infestation!!!!

People that are not their current customers are sneaking into the facility. They're waiting outside the exit gate and rushing into the premises when customers leave. Sometimes they are in cars, sometimes they are walking/running in. Every once in a while, current customers may have forgotten their access code. Usually, they are at the entry gate waiting to get in when other customers enter. They are not facing the exit gate and rushing to get in. I'm also noticing cars parked in their parking lot that have sitting for weeks. I have belongings in this storage facility and I'm concerned about my own safety and the safety of my belongings. So, I decided to ask one of their employees one fine afternoon - August 6th @ 1:40pm - about this activity. Tall brown haired white guy. Not only was he irritated, agitated and didn't want to answer any of my questions, his rotten attitude was overall unwelcoming and didn't want to be bothered or answer any questions. Instead he was complaining that I was asking him too many questions before he had a chance clock in. He mentioned that Public Storage is renting out parking spaces which might explain some of these people wanting to gain entry. If someone is leasing a parking spot, wouldn't they have an access code? Why are they gate crashing? Bam! He got even more irritated. He decided to reprimand me as if I'm letting these gate crashers in illegally. He cited that current account holders letting any gate crashers in can have their accounts cancelled. I couldn't believe it! I'm trying to get some assurance about my own safety and the security of my belongings that I have in their storage and I get threatened with a reprimand about letting gate crashers in. The only thing I wish they gave people the option is to use the trash can and I myself don't mind to paid extra to throw small article of trash. Nothing g really big like a sofa or big items. THEY BROKE THE LAW: I rented a storage unit in January 2025. In June, they sent a letter with a 102% rent increase, effective in 30 days. Per California Civil Code 827(b)(3) , they were supposed to give a 90-day notice because the rate increase was over 10%. They were reported to the Better Business Bureau and received certified mail with response required. They did not reply in either instance. DO NOT SIGN WITH THESE CON ARTISTS: The contract states you cannot file a class action lawsuit against them, and that you may be responsible for THEIR attorney fees even if you win. When you sign with them, you are giving up your rights to a proper legal defense. They don't want you challenging them, and they think you are a cash-giving sucker. That is extremely unacceptable. THEIR BUILDING IS DIRTY: On my move-out day, there were lots of screws and debris on the parking lot floor, and inside the complex. They probably want you to have flat tires. There were no employees in the main office. I don't trust any business where they lock their doors and don't even try to answer your questions. I rarely write reviews but I had to write this for us storage only because they were so wonderful and provided such exceptional customer service. The facility is very clean which was a must for us in choosing a place to store our things. They have carts you can use to move your items and if there aren't any available, they will go out of their way to find one for you (thanks Mengjie!) They have 3 floors plus a basement of indoor storage units available and access to even the 3rd floor is very easy. And they have a moving truck you can borrow for free whenever it's available. Their pricing is great and actually cheaper than others in the area and you get a newer and cleaner facility! Believe me, I checked around. And most important is their customer service is the best. I dealt with a few different employees because we had to switch our unit to a larger one and all of them were so helpful and wonderful to deal with. Mengjie, the assistant manager, was a very enthusiastic, hard working employee who knew his stuff about the facility and provided great advice on how to best store different items. And then there's the beautiful Cleo, the manager, who just loves what she does and it shows in her exceptional customer service. She was able to find us a larger unit very close to our existing one which made it so easy for us to move our items. She's personable, knows what she's doing and does her best to make things easy for the customer. I would highly recommend us storage in Alhambra if you're looking for a storage facility. I love this US Storage facility. I've been a customer since June 2014. I couldnt wait until the facility opened so i could move in from another storage facility, so i was excited to be one of the first to rent a unit. The manager, Cleo, is always very helpful and the other employees as well. The facility is always clean and i love my storage unit. It is the perfect size, which Cleo patiently helped me find. I love organizing my stuff which i do often. Carts are always available for our use. And even other storage renters are always nice. Parking is always available and i love that automatic payment is an option, because that way i dont miss a payment. The location is excellent and the hours are also a plus for me, because the facility is opened till late hours. We've never had any issues, i plan to continue to use US Storage for many many more years. Thank you US Storage Alhambra for helping me with my storage needs. read more

Well kept up Clean! basement storage maintained coolness throughout the hot summer days. The Staff are easy to talk too. Cleo jauregui, The property manager, goes the extra mile beyond the call of duty as I had and experience and witness that first hand that she's genuinely a caring person and very understanding of customer needs. I have seen some customers being tough even sometimes being rude to Cleo she always kept claim, respectful and never raised her voice, like wow! Never under estimate Cleo's business abilities and her great people skills these are great assets that she possess and I have observed she's truly a professional. while renting my spaces there I met other staff like Nicole and Claudio Flores who were helpful. I shopped other places in Alhambra for convenience and rates no other came close. Great Job all! read more

I am extremely happy with the service provided by the staff at this facility. Cleo the property manager is very professional and helpful. She knows this business and patiently helped us get the perfect room for our belongings. The facility is super clean and well-lit, which is very comforting. This location is also easily accessible from the 10 fwy or Fremont, which is one of the main streets in Alhambra. I have already recommended this facility to friends. Thanks for all your help! I visit the property and it's very clean and organized. As soon as I walked in Cleo greeted me.I really liked their service because they offer things other company's don't. They have a free moving truck, they offer specials, and the have elevators to make it easier. I would recommend this company location to my friends and family that want to get a good offer and deal for a storage. It's great customer service. read more

Cleo has always been kind above and beyond. I left to a less expensive place closer to my daughters house because she eas diagnosed with AML. i needed my own space again went to another place nearby here. I'm sorry ihad to come back in the middle of the month and she helped me with open arms and good advice and suggestions. read more
