Very clean and brand new facility. Love how air conditioning are in the basement units which I got. US Storage in Alhambra has a major black mold issue in the basement. About 6 months ago, I was looking for climate controlled storage for some valuable items (furniture and artwork) that are temperature and humidity sensitive. The manager here assured me several times that there were no issues with moisture or temperature in the "climate controlled" basement. This being Southern CA, I did not think moisture could possibly be an issue. Fast forward just 3 short months, and just about everything I put in this unit is destroyed. Wood and paper items are warped, cardboard is wet, and several irreplaceable items now have black mold growing on them. I put a tray of color-change desiccant in my unit and it turned in just one hour. I also got a calibrated hygrometer (humidity meter) which routinely shows 85+ inside the unit, which is absurd. Calls to the district manager have gone unanswered. The staff are nice and work hard, but have no solutions. I pay full price to have my property destroyed. The thing that really frustrates me is that after I showed the manager the issue with humidity, he said "oh yeah, I saw black mold growing on the wall in the unit next to yours." Then why didn't you tell me when I moved in?!? read more

This is a great place for storage, whether it's for business or personal. I have use for both and I am satisfied. What attracted me at the beginning was the cleanliness and how the people work there are very helpful, from Cleo, Mengji, and Ilse. Compare to other storage places, this place is considered very clean, including the restroom. Their employees are helpful and they are there to help whenever you have questions or concerns. I rarely have difficulty to find them during office hours since they have two people working together most of the time. Their storage basement has temperature control and every storage in each floor has enough lighting which is important for me, especially when I have to work inside my storage. Before I got into this place, I went to other storage places and found some places do not have lighting on the basement or it is just too hot during high temperature. When it comes to accessibility, it is super easy and they have spacious parking lot. Cameras for security are everywhere. I am a happy tenant. Thank you US Storage Alhambra! read more

I just closed my unit because I'm moving to another state. I've had this unit since they opened the new building. Mengjie Chen was key to why I'm giving this review. He wasn't there when I left but I wanted to personally thank him. Over the years, trying to let go of personal items has been emotionally hard, and he would come by and check on me and encourage me "let me take this for you, it will be less stress, you'll see." I'd get migraines and be on the verge of tears after hours of purging, and that simple kindness (which was more work for him) would be a huge relief. He even remembered small personal info we talked about the last time over six months ago. A really good human being. Because of his genuinely helpful and kind heart, an always clean and safe building and tenants, and an overall positivity in the music and atmosphere, it was probably the only 100% satisfied customer experience I've ever had in anything (that says a lot about how picky I am). I actually felt tempted to hold an empty unit because the service was so good! I was sad I didn't get to say this to him in person, but thank you. Business really is about people. If I move back, I'll pay any price if he is still here! read more

Hot! Humid! Hot and extremely humid. No ventilation, not even a fan on. Can't barely breath on a hot day in there. Loading things inside for a few minutes, come out looking like I just got out the shower!!! Stop being cheap and turn on some air!!! read more

I recently rearranged my storage and I found some roaches around the tape I used to seal my storage containers. I had to pull off the tape and Saran Wrap and tape the ones I felt my be infiltrated by these nasty bugs. I also had to walk around the facility to find an extra cart and I found a roach near the elevator crawling as if someone had stepped on half its body. I feel creeped out when I bring things to store because the employees constantly stare at my products and ask questions to why or how I get my things. I don't feel to safe being around irate employees when it comes to asking a question and the employee not speaking nor understanding english becomes irate over misunderstanding the language. I have tried two times in the past months to pay for my storage at there facility and that of a friends and twice the employees got overly angry when I tried to use my own debit card for the transactions. One employee went as far as to tell me I was not able to pay without the name on the storage and card matching, when I have repeatedly paid over the phone using the exact same method. The way they explain things here becomes insulting and I do not believe that this is the best customer service they can give. I have read many reviews on this place and I can not understand why no one has complained about the roaches and the lack of how having a simple garbage can to discard a couple of water bottles can seem so impossible. I have witnessed how the employees pass by and not bother to clean up the carts after people leave it full of syrup and other powdery mustard color substance. I hope to hear from them soon on this complaint, I want it to be publicized so that maybe the manager can take real action and not just try to blow it off over the phone like once before. read more

mengjie is Awesome. He showed us our storage beforehand. Also showed us other options to compare which was best for our needs. There was no pressure! He was very genuine and friendly. I will update review to let you know the moving out process but that will not happen anytime soon. I recommend reserving online to hold the special price. The prices are nice in comparison to other places I checked out. He's friendly and knowledgeable and I noticed him being helpful to current customers. I just noticed there's a free truck for moving in but it's booked today but that's because I reserved today. He said I can schedule when its available. I'll let you know later how that goes. The service is excellent and they offer a free move in truck at the time of rental and you have a period of 30 days to use this service for free. You just need to make an appointment in advance .
