Bait and switch scheme. Please drive further to go to other smog place. At this place, welcomed by unhappy salesman , where there no reasonable conversation taken place. This place should be reported as SCAM because what's advertised and what you end up paying is completely different. They advertise so people drive all the way there then told completely different prices. If you come here with very expensive cars, they add ridiculous fee because they know those will pay anyway. Smog check for 2000 or newer car will never be $28.75 , because they add additional $15-20 for SUV or whatever they come up with excuse. Including certification the total bill will be $55-60 at this place. When asked, it's not $28.75, they will ask you to check in right away then tell the different price so at end result, you kinda checked in and notified different price. (They don't tell different price before checking in) Their coupon doesn't mention additional $15 for VAN or luxury car, and guy was extremely irritated and kept repeating its additional $, and when asked it's not written there, it got irritated even further and treat customers like idiots. Went to get my smog check and arrived at 5:15pm, 45mins before their closing time. No one was at the desk to help me and when I finally got someone's attention they said "no technician". I got no apology for the inconvenience of driving all the way there or no "come back tomorrow". Just silence and a blank stare. Never coming back. I highly recommend Jamoree Smog at 3091 Edinger Ave! Went in for a smog check with a $29.75 coupon. Pulled up on a Sunday around 1pm and not one car around. Employee came up to me at the window, told him I'm here for a smog check. Not friendly at all and was clearly rushing me. I told him I had a coupon on my phone. He asked me if I spoke Spanish. I said no. He then quoted me $59.95. They told me it would take one hour to get my smog checked. They ran my car for over an hour without working on it, wasting over 20 miles worth of gas. Worst experience I've ever had. First the price they offer is about $11 dollars more than you can pay elsewhere. Second the customer service is horrible. Third you better he completely ready for the test or they will charge you 2 times. Because the 1at time wasn't a fail, it was an incomplete. But they feel they should charge twice. 5 STARS!!! A+++++ Love this place! Was extremely convenient for me. I moved and out of loyalty and great price I stayed going to my old neighborhood smog place. Googled this and found out it was right around the corner from my new place of recent years. Kind of embarrassed I didn't realize this prior. Great location. GREAT PRICE! Looks like these people are crooks, lie about the wait time, lack integrity, shady with shady pricing, pieces of shit, no customer service, rude, not friendly, terrible attitude, and true con artists! He started to write down the charges for a smog check which was $60+ and then I showed him the online price or "coupon" which was for a total of $38. He was really bothered by me doing this and told me that I can't find anywhere else that's cheaper. Why can't I check what I'm being charged for? Definitely not recommend. Mostly because the person running the test was not honest with me. When I first arrived, he said "it will take 30 minutes". 40 minutes later, when approached, he claimed the test was almost done and he needed 8 more minutes. It sounded suspicious, so I asked explicitly "did you run the test already?" He confirmed. 15 minutes later, I realized the car has only been moved into the test area, which means they were only trying to keep me from taking the car away. Which I would do had I known the test hadn't been even started. I get it, we get extra workload, work gets delayed. I ask for honesty, though, it helps me plan my activities. I did not get that at US Smog Check. I'm not going to return. I have a second car. I'm going to get it tested elsewhere, regardless of the price or distance. read more

As some Yelper's have already mentioned: DO NOT GO HERE! When I pulled up, they guy initially quoted me $68 for the test and certificate. When I showed him my coupon for $29.89 he did not honor that price, but instead "discounted" it by $13. So $55 for an SUV. I was already there so I said yes. He said it would take AN HOUR. Ok, fine. It WOULD HAVE PASSED, but I just needed to drive it more. I ask, "Hey because I waited so long, can I get a free retest." HE SAID NO! A Horror story is what you will experience from coming here. Lies and deceptions is what's given to you if you bring your car or truck for smog here. Overcharged me for a smog test and says that it needs oxy sensors. This was not the issue when I brought it here. My vehicle is a 2010 Camaro, there is no way the smog oxy sensor is not functioning. Brought it to the local dealer entirely everything was checked and had no issues. Went to another smog place and passed with flying colors. read more

Not recommend to do business with US SMOG, at 18015 Culver Dr. Irvine CA. after the test done I passed all the tests, but the old man told me that the computer of my car was not communicate with their system (he did not told me at first place and should not proceeded with test.)he ask me to drive 40 miles min. then come back. after I drove 50 miles came back he said my computer is good now, but he ask me retest fee $36. I walked away. he had charge me $33,two hours ago. If I accepted to do the retest over there I would spend total $69.what is good for the coupon for $29.95 ??? also waste my time and gas. I had US Smog inspect my two one year old BMW's which I had brought from out of State and the guys could't have been nicer. Efficient ( 10-15 minutes) cars were clean inside after inspection.
