I don't understand the rave reviews. While the class was "fun" I can guarantee it lacked depth. You won't learn what you need to pass the exam - I felt so unprepared. Especially, when I joined a different company's crash course. I took an SMC course prior and I've retained the information after a whole year. 3 weeks is NOT enough. read more

Had doubts about doing in-person classes when many friends insisted I just do online courses but I am SO happy I decided to give it a shot with CA Realty. Our professor Davi Davenport is AMAZING! She brings such great energy to each and every class and really breaks down the material so it's easy to understand. Her examples are beyond helpful in explaining concepts/key terms and I can't imagine getting this kind of thorough, experiential training from online courses. Super grateful! read more

To begin with passing RE license it's extremely hard only 15-25% pass at any given test session specially in Anaheim which is super hard, I heard in SD is easier. Other things that now that I have my licence I realized nobody wants new licences included KW and if they do they make you pay $200 a month for insurance $309 for office pay for copy pay for Mls pay for board it's about $500 a month and if anyone sue for any reason there will be $10k out of your pocket also commission on first three deals is 50/50 plays out if your 50 you still have to pay another %70 and again not many hire. As far as this school is concern they have 3 major flaws: 1- their physical classes are superfluous and won't cover any of test stuff. Waste of time and money also they have no parking so each time you have to pay $5 for public parking after 6pm. But problem is they cover maybe 2% and easy stuff not tough test material. 2- their portal and book PDF is not downloadable and they want you to buy the books in papers. 3 books 1509 pages. Their Exam simulations are very hard and I tried them, it's really a turn off and harder than state exam itself. Also questions in their simulation are not even in the test. Not even remotely. 3- their crash courses are not refundable if you fail, all other crash course places offer free second or 3rd classes until you pass the test, these folk they only take half off. I find a place that refund the $150 if I fail twice and the second class is free. So for me ÇA reality school was a $600 waste of money and I don't recommend them. I suggest to get your 3 certificates online at not more than $100 and then get a crash course like I did. It has been one year now that I study and I failed twice. It is very very hard. Questions are in the most complex formulation, wordy and they have their own weird vocabularies. Don't believe on this school slogan that it's walk in the park and you make million bucks in your first year. 15% pass the test after multiple failed and maybe only 10% of licence agent out in town actually are making money. read more

Veronica is awesome, really friendly and is a great teacher. She spends time getting to know all of the class and answering all of their questions, no matter how many they have or how silly they are. You go through about 3 chapters per class and the class is 2 hours long. It's a very open feeling, she asks the class to answer questions, shout out if they don't understand anything. These classes could very easily be a snooze fest but I found them interesting and was excited to come to class with Kathryn Shafer. She doesn't just review the material but spends time in every class talking about real experiences she has had in the real estate world. She also brings in speakers from escrow, title, and mortgage companies so you get a complete education of everything you will encounter once you are licensed. I thoroughly enjoyed the classes and felt I learned WAY more than what was written in the course material. Kathryn is extremely kind and always available to answer your questions or provide guidance when necessary. She's truly a wealth of information and good person to have in your corner. After being told for years that I should get into real estate by friends I'd helped find apts in NYC, I moved to LA and finally decided to take some classes - if nothing else I'd learn something new. I found CA Realty Training online and signed up, as the classes were at Keller Williams (well-respected, to say the least) just minutes from my apt. Rico filled in for the first "audit" class and gave an overview of the instructors, their styles and personalities. Kathryn Shafer sounded right up my alley: down to earth, lots of great experiences to share, and guest speakers to learn from and bring the material to life. And, she taught on Saturday, which was a must with my full-time job. The material is dry - lots of rote memorization and facts, however, Kathryn's Saturday classes were invigorating. What a great body of experience she has to call on - and man does she tell a good story! Her real life examples are not only a hoot, but they bring to life the material in ways that make it easy to remember. Kathryn's guest speakers (at least one per class) are also a nice touch, breaking up the 3-4 hour class, and allowing us all to ask experts to clear up any confusions we might have on the reading/slides. Also, each expert also makes themselves available beyond the class, which is a HUGE advantage. Beyond class, Kathryn is as generous with her own time as she is with her stories, making herself available to students at any time over coffee or a drink to talk further. I also really like her ethical standards - Kathryn not only relays the ethics the book talks about, but consistently reminds us not to do things we aren't comfortable, if it feels icky it probably is, and to never risk a friendship or your own morals for a buck. Kathryn took me from someone who was curious to learn more, to someone who is now excited to start his career in real estate. CA Realty Training offers both an online course with supplemental video lectures by owner Robert Rico and an in class power point presentation with working professionals like Renee throughout Los Angeles. The Beverly Hills location is the only one that offered Saturday classes to fit my work schedule. Attending classes was a very important decision factor in choosing CA Realty Training and much to my surprise Renee presented the material in a fun, informative, supportive and energetic manner.
