Because of this LVN program I was able to use it as a stepping stone and got into an RN program with a concurrent BSN partnership. I've used all my skills and notes that I've learned in the LVN program and my current RN program has been a breeze thanks to how much the LVN program prepared me. I'm honestly going to be forever grateful. I love how affordable this program was and how it was not a financial burden on me compared to other programs. A lot of people are hesitant of continuing on their education due to the lack of money (this should not be a factor on who gets an education and who doesn't) but this is a great program to open doors to many of us including myself to change our lives for the better !!! I passed my NCLEX 1st try and got an amazing job that I love all thanks to the amazing teachers that made up the LVN program.

I took the orientation class a few months prior, and the staff is very kind and welcoming. The students are also just as friendly, and you get to know them and socialize a lot in class. The campus has that commuter school feel, and half of it is in bungalows. I'd highly recommend NVOC to any student, especially those coming back to school after a long break. They recently brought back the pharmacy technician program, and have a bunch of other trades. I like how it's connected to other schools in the area under LAUSD. So far, it's been a very positive experience, and can't wait to be an official student.

Great teachers and space…read more I have been to the Mission Hills location for a BLS class and recertifications, as well as a IV skills class. Both provided easy instruction and hands on experience. It was also very easy to schedule my classes and pay online! Great services and highly recommend always.

California Medical Training Center is one of the best training centers in the San Fernando Valley!…read more This was my 3rd time renewing my ACLS & PALS certification with California Medical Training Center! Ever since I found them back in 2023, I have been so fortunate to find such a good group of very passionate, knowledgeable, and funny instructors for all my class needs. Both Mike (my pervious instructor) and Robert (my most recent instructor) are great at teaching and help us with not only knowing the knowledge material, BUT also applying that knowledge material to the real world. I always feel so much better and more capable to handle BLS & ACLS/PALS codes after each class! Now, time for the logistics. Parking is either to the back of the building, or on the streets. Very spacious street parking. Class sizes are usually smaller, with a MAX capacity of 10-12 students, depending on sign-ups. CPR mannequins (both adult/child and newborn infants) are in clean, intact, and great for practicing CPR. The adult/child CPR has LED lights to indicate good compression depth and rates. Class structure has (2) 10-15 minutes breaks, and the testing material at the end with (MegaCodes & official test). MegaCodes are scary, but Robert and Mike both made the environment feel safe to help calm down major nerves. Restrooms are located to the left of the classrooms. Local area has great food! Past the 405 freeway into Mission Hills, there is the Olivo at Mission Hills! Great food options, and quick enough for you to get a bite if you decide to do the PALS/ACLS renewal all on the same day haha! Not to far of a drive. Thank you again to Mike & Robert for the humor, fun, and instilling confidence and knowledge in me during my course! I appreciate you greatly!

First! I would like to point out the majority of these positive reviews are for the admissions…read morecounselors (the ones who benefit from you signing up so duh they'll be supportive) and the AMAZING clinical team (they have you for clinicals which is mostly hands on, not theory, although they would probably be great at that too). But I would not wish this school as a whole on my worst enemy. I have gone through my bachelors and stupidity fell for that this would be a good stepping stone before BSN which if any of the staff had any morals they would have said. That being said I know school. I usually LOVE school, but this LVN program is not school. It feels like a humiliation/right of passage/im not helping bc no one helped me thing and it's disgusting. I have no kind words to say and im sure no one else does either. I understood and fell in love with nursing because of professor simple nursing and YouTube and mark k bc I WORKED MY ASS OFF but there were times the school made it feel like they wanted us to fail. On top of all that when we passed our exit and became graduates the horror show did not end. The director didn't allow us to sign up for the NCLEX on our own and forced us to wait three weeks to sign up together ultimately delaying us and decreasing our chances of passing based on the statistics on how long you wait. When I took my exit I was 95% passed rate accordingly to the software we used. I study daily but it's just hard working so hard and not receiving any respect or kindness from anyone (except the wonderful and amazing clinical instructor). DEEPLY DISAPPOINTING & borderline traumatizing passed my NCLEX & exit exam & absolutely no thanks to them

Overall, the institution provides a good educational…read moreexperience, and in the clinical area, it has excellent instructors such as Miss Ana, Mr. Dexter, Miss Leilani, among others. However, I am very concerned that the school continues to keep Dr. Dodson as a theoretical instructor. She often appears unfamiliar with the topics being covered, is unable to provide academic support, and does not respond to emails in a timely manner. Grading errors occur frequently, and she only addresses them after multiple follow-up messages, which is highly frustrating. On several occasions, we have spent up to six hours sitting in front of the computer without receiving any actual theoretical instruction, instead completing "in-class homework." When students have questions, she is unable to provide clear explanations. I am now in Term 4, and these issues have been ongoing since earlier terms without resolution. This situation is affecting the quality of our learning experience, and I strongly believe it needs to be addressed as soon as possible.
