If it wasn't for Sandra Bojorquez I wouldn't know what to do. She made the enrollment process very easy. She explained the course well and showed me around the campus ensuring me that I'm in good hands. If it wasn't for her I wouldn't have attended. read more

This school was extremely disappointing and, in my experience, unprofessional. I graduated from UEI Reseda almost a year ago after completing my externship in December. I graduated with good grades, a high GPA, and as a Medical Assistant student ambassador. One of my biggest concerns is that admissions does not clearly explain that completing the program does not make you a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA). You receive a diploma, but you still have to take and pay for a separate certification exam. I feel this should be made much clearer before students enroll. The lab experience was also disappointing. Many necessary supplies were out of stock, unavailable, or broken, which limited our hands-on training. I knew before enrolling that I wanted to eventually work in pediatrics because I enjoy working with children, yet we weren't even shown how to properly weigh/measure pediatric patients or administer pediatric injections. My biggest issue, however, was Career Services. My assigned representative, Markia, told me, "It's not about what you're comfortable with. It's time for you to put your big girl panties on" when I explained that I was uncomfortable being placed at a primary care clinic for my first job and wanted to find a more specialized setting. I was shocked and didn't know how to respond. Interviews were also scheduled without asking what times worked for me. I was sent to Encino, taking two buses, only to find out upon arrival that the position was for a traveling Medical Assistant. I was then scheduled at another clinic for 8 AM, only to arrive and discover the clinic wasn't even open yet. When I was upset and crying while explaining this to Career Services, I felt there was very little empathy or support. During my externship, I also felt I wasn't learning enough because much of my time involved front-desk duties rather than hands-on back-office Medical Assistant work. When I asked about finding another site, Markia told me, "Now you want to travel? Last time the issue was that you didn't want to travel." My issue had always been my transportation limitations, not that I refused to travel. The financial aspect makes this experience even more frustrating. I personally paid a little over $13,000 out of pocket, which I paid off in less than a year after completing the program. Based on my experience with my payments, interest was charged daily. After spending over $13,000, I attempted two different Medical Assistant jobs over approximately nine months and ultimately decided not to pursue the field. I understand that students need to be flexible and step outside their comfort zones, but students also deserve clear information, adequate hands-on training, respectful communication, and genuine career support. I strongly recommend researching the program carefully, including the certification requirements, additional costs, hands-on training, externship placement, and Career Services, before enrolling. read more

had a great experience at UEI College while going through the electrician program. The school gave me the opportunity to really focus on learning the trade and building a foundation for my future career. The hands-on training helped me understand how things work in real life, not just from a book. I feel more confident reading blueprints, understanding NEC code basics, and working safely because of what I learned there. Mr. Shaun was an amazing instructor. He took the time to explain things clearly and made sure we actually understood the material. If we didn't get something the first time, he would break it down in a simple way until it made sense. He pushed us to do our best but also supported us when we needed help. You can tell he truly cares about his students and wants to see them succeed in the electrical field. I'm thankful for everything I learned and I would definitely recommend UEI College to anyone interested in becoming an electrician. read more

The worst school they only care about your money. They say they'll help you find a job, but they don't. Save yourself the fortune you'd be paying for years and go somewhere else. read more

This training academy charges a high price for this service, they gave me a price of 23,000$ for some AC training. The fraudulent part of this business I highly disagree with are 2 things. One, is the elimination of negative reviews on their yelp page. I left a review here 3 years ago. Two is that they promise you a job in AC repair. They cannot promise you a job, they lie about having "connections" in the business. I'm sure it's illegal for them to say so. I don't know many company's willing to hire inexperienced people, because the cost of training them would be significant. read more

I first came in with no expectations of joining just to get an idea of what to do with my life. I met with Sandra Bojorquez and she made me feel right at home very sweet and professional about everything and helped me understand what I was getting myself in here. read more

UEI College is not supportive of working adults. Despite the high cost of tuition, the school pressures students to meet unrealistic deadlines, disregards personal circumstances, and treats people like numbers rather than individuals. The only positive experience has been with Miss V, an instructor who genuinely cares about student learning--but even she is overworked, teaching multiple classes because the school's employee retention is so poor. Since I started, I have already had three different instructors, which speaks volumes about the instability of this program. If you are able to you are better off going to a community college instead. read more

If anyone is planning on joining the MA program, I HIGHLY recommend Ms. A. She is truly the best instructor on campus. Ms. A has taught me everything I need to know and has fully prepared me for when I go out into the field. She inspires me every day and always pushes us to do better. She never gives up on her students and makes everyone feel welcomed. She knows how to connect with her students and have fun, but when it's time to work, it's WORK time. At the end of the day, all she cares about is student success. That's what brings her joy. read more

This is an impartial review from a graduate of the institution who has experienced everything the faculty has offered.I chose UEI College because I was not satisfied with my present career and wanted to make a switch. I opted for Medical Billing and Coding.Unfortunately even after one year, I was not able to secure a job. This might be my shortcoming or volatile job market but their career service should be able to look into it. I used the job search service of college but they were not able to land me a job either. Continuing the pursuit, I enrolled myself in AAPC CPC preparation course and it was then I realized that there were many things that were essential to coding but my instructor did not cover extensively at the time I was there. read more

I graduated in 2022, and I can proudly say that I have the best instructor to help me on my graduating journey. As a newcomer to this country, English was not my first language, but with the help of my instructor, Ms. A. I was able to use those skills that she has taught which have helped me rise to the my current career level. I really do appreciate her time and effort that she put in for every student, not just me. And lastly, I want to thank the UEI team as well. read more

OK, so UEI has been calling me excessively regarding an admission or supposedly an interest in going to their so call institute. The last person I have talked to was Steve. This guy obsessively continued to explain that I was interest when I had expressively stated 10 call prior to put me on a do not call list. I have went tot this institute more than 15 years ago, graduated as a Pharmacy technician, no one in their career's department has ever and i mean ever assisted me with careers. If i can give this institute no stars at all, I would. Usually i won't comment on anything but your excessive phone calls with random phone numbers is a little too much. I can objectively state that this school is thirsty for student admissions. If this school is so well rounded, organized and what not why with the obsessive phone calls? read more

I was contacted by this really nice man scheduled an appointment but my situation changed. Today I was contacted by another representative from that same location. Very very rude. Didn't let me finish speaking and transferred me to. A representative when I asked her not to because I was actually driving. I like the school, nice and clean. I like my instructor Ms Godoy, she's very nice. The only bad thing is a/c not working. It gets really hot in the classroom, it's so bad I can't focus. It would be nice if they fix the a/c. read more

I had an amazing experience at UEI and taking the ET program got me prepared to hit the ground running in my new job when I graduated. The staff is nice. But the whole process is messed up .They have you fill out tons of paperwork and have you waste your time before even figuring out if your financial aid or discussing payment process .I had told them several times that I was at my limit with aid .And I wanted to set up a payment plan .At the end of the meeting after being there 2 hours financial aid just said "you dont have any aid available "which was what I said .But there was no offer to setup a payment plan or any other options they just said I would have to pay $9000 out of pocket on the spot .Which I would not mind paying in some type of plan. But financial aid seemed to lazy to explain anything . read more

was iffy about this place at first I just wanted to see my options and see how everything is set up, max made me feel right at home I wasn't expecting to go and sign up right on the day but I'm glad I did I choice medical billing & coding. and so far its going good ms G is the only teacher for that class although she has a lot of student from morning to evening I really appreciate her for doing her best on helping each and every one of her students. For those who need to work to support themselves this in my experience is not the best place to go. With programs being as condensed as they are it leaves very little time to do much more than school if you're going to be fully engrossed in the curriculum. Unfortunately as well while many people state they are there to help you, the idea of " closed mouths don't get fed" is a joke ,when opening up to ask for assistance in multiple instances words have fallen upon deaf ears,I.e. unanswered and unreturned calls after leaving voicemails for questions important to my schooling, and this is with administrators that are seemingly very negligent. They say ask for help if you need it when your being reeled in by admissions , but ultimately its not Hogwarts you wont get the help you need even when you ask, it is a for profit school. As long as they get paid and get you singed up regardless of getting signed for a 10 plus ,realistically, of loan debt.... company perception seems to be no skin off theirs. Simply it all seems like snake oil. read more

The staff here are friendly and knowledgeable. The campus has a great presence, beautiful labs and classrooms, very clean, big bright windows. You can tell the culture here is good too from the collaboration you see among staff and students. Good energy! read more

The fact that their career services team call and insist on getting names and letter from the companies that the students found ON THIER OWN Is insane The only reason they want that is to save their own skin as they will not take accountability for their poor performance in making sure students get a job after (which the school had promised everyone) Every company students apply to rejects them once they hear the name UEI because of its terrible school and terrible programs, not to mention the students practically teach them selves as the instructor abandons them or does not want to teach them and instead just distracts them. They don't teach they steal money. They will get sued read more

Kind of late, but I attended Reseda's grand opening in November for a campus visit. It was great to see all the staff and faculty members as well as the student adjust to their new location (i believe previously it was encino).    One thing I want to mention is the student ambassadors were really the back bone as I saw them interacting with current students and visitors with questions. I thought it was nice to see the students speak from their personal experience on the specific programs they're in. Just from speaking with their campus president Jackie, her enthusiasm reflected well among her colleagues and students. read more

Let's see, where do I start. For beginners this school would receive a 0 star but unfortunately I have to give a one star. As a veteran, I've had a bad experience with this school turning in monthly paper work for the VA office. There has been several time my monthly allowance has been turn down due to this school and the admin side. Besides that, there is lack of material and supplies. I do not recommend any one to spend their hard earned money on this school and attending especially veterans. read more

Everybody like faculty is great here at the end of the day this is a business but I just feel like they need to be more straight up or for any incoming student I feel like you need to pick a practical degree here because it would be so hard to get a job if you pick business administration go fix up your resume and get some experience you don't need to apply fafsa and you can apply at a local office, Criminal justice for what?? You can get a guard card you can be a security guard Pharmacy tech (you can apply at cvs and they'll train you) No need to waste 15-20k student debt I strongly believe Medical Assistant , Dental assistant, Medical Billing & Coding, hvac, automotive tech, electrician tech, and welding are the ones to really consider. But that's just me being honest but for the other staff and faculties I wish they were more honest because these are our money you guys are playing with. read more
