The United States Post Office in downtown Romulus, Michigan is easy to access.  There is plenty of…read moreparking here.  The staff here is very much interested in their work and they provide quality service here.  The building is kept neat and clean both inside and out.  It is easy to locate the materials and shipping items as the vending area is kept well stocked. The counter clerks are very good at what they do and offer a positive outlook.  It's refreshing to do business with them.  If the building is closed there are some conveniently located postal boxes right outside.  You can drop items in when walking by or even drive up if you want to.  The building is located in a quaint plaza and the traffic passing by is usually quiet and moving at a reasonable pace.

Several months ago the post office started sending some of mine and my husbands mail to my father in laws house. Not just your regular joe mail but a bill, tax docs, etc. The mail had our actual mailing address but a sticker on it to forward to my father in laws address. Then some of my teenage daughters mail started going to his address. We did not change our address!!! We have made several attempts to correct the post office's mistake with no help what so ever. They kept telling us to fill out a change of address form, but we NEVER changed our address. They fucked up and now we each need to fill out a new form? After failed attempts online, my husband went up to the post office today with several address proofs including his drivers license (with the correct address as it has never changed), mail (utility bill with his name and the address), soc. sec. card, birth certificate, in case they need proof he is who he says he is. Still an issue!!! The person assisting him said he couldn't do anything. Another employee aggressively typed something on the computer and told my husband he will receive an email for the next step. The email basically stated they couldn't verify him and to just inform everyone of an address change! ARE YOU SERIOUS? WE NEVER CHANGED OUR ADDRESS! What do we have to do to correct an issue that the Post Office created? What happens if my father in law moves and then someone else is getting our mail? Talk about risk for fraud. I will be reaching out to the Governor for help. It sucks to have to go to such lengths for something so simple. DO BETTER!!!

The building is clearly marked.  It is a little difficult to find the door at first because it is tucked behind the main facade but that allows for easy entry during inclement weather as mentioned.  The landscaping is attractive and well designed.  All in all it is a pleasure to visit this post office for my postal business.

The…read morejanitor cleaning the lobby stopped what he was doing to assist me in completing the task as he saw I was I bit upset that I needed to be somewhere else but needed to do this. I returned later in the morning to pick up a parcel and he saw me sham waiting in Libby and came right over to see if I needed anything. I was impressed by his customer service skills. He far exceeded anything I ever experienced from behind any guest service counter in all my years. 8-22-16 Quick trip to purchase a roll of stamps and get a change of address card for my mother in law. The clerk was very helpful and explained the COA process and warned against online companies charging exorbitant prices for a process the PO charges very little to free for.

I was told it could take up to 14 days for the change to be completed. After a month i received a phone call saying they had a month of my mail at the post office. I went and picked it up and i talked to my carrier they should me my change of address form someone wrote 10 day hold on it. So i went up there and a lady said she did it, she does it to all of them. a few months later i went to get rid of the p.o.box to go back to house filled out change of address form i was told up to 14 days to change after a month of no mail i went up there and the man at the counter looked on the computer he had my change of address form nobody put it in the computer. So he did it his self it was great of him to take the time to do. i feel that most of the people behind the wall that supposed to make this stuff happen along with their bosses need to stop wasting our tax dollars and get fired. Instead give their money to the carriers that make it work.
