My experience is a bit different as I had to have them pack almost all my items as I just did not have the time to do it myself so depending on how everything arrives, my review could go up by 1 star, or down by 3. The younger and woman on duty were easy to work with-especially when they saw I had a huge order. The place had a steady stream of customers and a couple of what looked like ebay/ Amazon related businesses. So that base made me feel like they were decent at shipping support. The guy looked pretty thorough about protecting items and the real value of this service is to be determined. If the keepsakes arrive undamaged, then it was pretty much worth it. I went to another place and called one too. Based on those interactions, this place felt like a good value in comparison to those experiences.

I needed the package to be delivered by Friday or Saturday. My options were next day air for over $200, 2 day air for $150 or 3 day ground for $92. The other options wouldn't arrive until next week. The package weighed 7 pounds and contained candy and toys that weren't worth $92. I left and went to the UPS store in South Lyon. The same package would arrive Thursday for$30. I believe that the New Hudson store was trying to gouge me knowing that I had a deadline or they really didn't want to ship the package because they were closing for the day. Just connect me to Novi p.o. But no. Here come all the questions the first automated wanted. After 10 min, she finally gave me the number to the Novi Post Office, after the address and hours. So I called the number, listened to the address and hours, got put on a hold and after ringing for what seemed like an eternity, got disconnected! I'M NOT A HAPPY PERSON! HORRIBLE!!

This process generally takes 10-15 minutes. TODAY, I arrived to pick up a special order package that arrived at the post office at 9:53am and was signed for by Mitch at the dock. At 4:40, when I arrived to collect it, it was not in my box. as usual, I proceeded to the line where I spoke with one of the same people I always talk to who always knows nothing about any package anytime. She asked me for everything but my dogs name and proceeded to the back for the routine 15 minute "search". By now, it is after 5 and they are discussing with one another how they need to be out of there by 6. The young lady comes back to tell me that my package is in a pile that has not been sorted yet!!!! WHAT?!?!?!? She then matter of factly said, "you will have to come back tomorrow. It will be here then."....I was STUNNED! But this is how they always approach situations in this Post Office. I have made complaints before. But you people don't respond. So it is clear where the post office employees get it from. Clearly, the Postal service could not care less as long as it gets money. Honestly this is one of my favorite post offices in the state of Michigan. I'm always sending mail…read moreso I've been to tons all over the state. The staff here is always willing to do anything, most of the time employees at other locations will tell me to just put it in the prepaid bin and won't give me any other time of day. The employees at this location will always help you with whatever you need and take the time with each customer, Josh is always extremely helpful when I go in. The only downside is there is no self service machine as someone set the post office on fire a couple years ago.
