On December 30th, I went to the Green Road post office to mail my passport (needs to be renewed) using USPS Priority Mail with return service. I clearly told the clerk that the envelope contained my passport and that I needed it mailed securely.The clerk failed to issue a return tracking number. The passport was never delivered, and there is no return tracking record in the system. (As you know, Priority Mail is supposed to include tracking by default, especially for return mail.) When I returned to the post office to investigate, the manager was able to pull up my receipt using my credit card information, and the receipt shows only one tracking number, not a return tracking number. The manager acknowledged that this was likely a staff error, but then refused to take responsibility, insisting that I must produce the original paper receipt from December 30th, which is now over a month ago.I believe this is an unreasonable requirement, given that the USPS system already shows incomplete service with my credit card information provided. The clerk is also very unprofessional on that day. She was very dismissive, refused to explain the process, and altered the address I wrote by hand, making it difficult to read. When I asked if I could rewrite the address or pay again to ensure accuracy, I was told it was "fine" and denied that option. As a result of this error, my passport was lost, and I am now required to reapply for a replacement passport, which involves significant time, stress, and legal uncertainty. read more

Just left... no, I didn't get waited on. 14-person line didn't move in the 20 minutes I stood there. Two clerks. One, with the 2020 mask still on her face (crookedly - lmfao!) wandered aimlessly from desk to back room the whole time- no taxpayer's were served by her. The other one demonstrated the absolute least efficiency in handling just one taxpayer. Unfortunately, government doesn't have to compete so it never ends. The only upside is watching my Ann Arbor liberal neighbors melt down in line as they get what they voted for. Smh. read more

If you have the option do not go to this location! Take the extra time and go to Stadium Blvd. Returned with what they asked and clerk did not want to go the other cash register to get the remaining balance owed. Keep your sanity and moral high and drive to stadium they are delightful there. read more

Horrible service to no service is the range. They do not know how to use the hold mail function online, and do not deliver held mail when stopped manually. In line, the wait is long. The deliver to the home mail that needs to go to another address, regularly. There is nothing positive to say about mail services at this Green Road branch in Ann Arbor. read more

Very rude employee named Karin. There were 0 customers besides me. 2 workers, Karin and another nice young lady. Karin assumed my letter had a CD in it ( it was a visa gift card) she wouldnt ship my letter as is saying it wasn't bendable because it was a CD.... Who uses CD's in 2025!?! I then walked out and went back in to ask questions about how to ship and pricing. Karin not knowing I was turning around and coming back in to ask a question was trash talking me to the other employee when I walked in. She was than very rude and wouldn't answer my questions (just stared at me) The other young lady stepped in and answered. I was nice the whole time to Karin so I'm not sure what her issue is. Upon leaving I told Karin I was going to call the post master and make them aware of her rude attitude. She told me her name was Karin and make sure to tell the post master it's pronounced ka-Rin. Karin was RUDE AND NOT HELPFUL just a grouchy old HAG! Upon reading other reviews this place is known for rudeness a 1.8 star google rating. Maybe the post master doesn't care. read more

It's no wonder they have to keep raising rates. The routing department is LOUSY! Many times I place an order and it is delayed DUE TO BEING SENT ALL OVER. The package I'm waiting for now started in Romulus, Mi, went to Fremont, IN....where I live, then north to Ann Arbor, MI, from there to Detroit, Mi, then all the way SOUTH to Indianapolis, IN and has no further tracking since Friday morning at 8:30!!!!!!!! This is ridiculous!!! The routing department certainly needs a new manager. Whenever they find my package it will have to come back north to Ft. Wayne and if I'm lucky, then to Fremont where it was on the SECOND day! I thought zip codes were suppose to help them find locations...... read more

Complete lack of customer service skills at this PO. This is my local post office so I am there frequently. The women that work behind the counter are incredibly rude, patronizing and indifferent to customers particularly Asian and elderly customers. I have also mailed two cards from there on two separate occasions that never made it to their destination, hmmmm.... I try to go to the Liberty Rd PO whenever possible because the Green Rd is unbearable! No one seems to be in charge otherwise that rude behavior would not be tolerated. read more

On Saturdays I stop by this post office for sending a small package to my parents in Japan. My passport signature is spelled in Japanese (kanji). My other IDs, credit cards and everything else I use in the USA have my Japanese signature on it. So I signed in with the same manner on the slip. The staff at the window displayed a show of hate or disgust and said "Write in English". Airports, hotels, SOS in Michigan, etc were ok, on the other hand. I was scared of her but wrote out a strange curvature like a worm. Interestingly, it was accepted. (Wow.) It was a cultural difference. I was interested in learning anything in a foreign country. I must confess that I had mistakenly thought that a "consistency" matters, like when using the Japanese "hanko". (By the way, signature is not accepted in official places in Japan.) My English speaking speed might have been slow. I was not allowed to finish my sentence, though I wanted to ask a quick question. But this experience motivated me to study the English language! It was a good experience at USPS on Green Rd Ann Arbor. Though some people clearly display a show of detest or grudge toward a silly foreign customer like me, it made me think I need to be careful. I learned that a focusing point in social activity can come with "something", in addition to the fluctuating concept of right or wrong. Well, the staff I see on Saturdays is constantly rude but I want to appreciate that I have had an opportunity to learn what a customer service is like at a post office in a small town. read more

This is our third time trying to do kids' passports. All three times they've been competing to be as unpleasant and unhelpful as possible, and to do the least required amount of work and to delay it as much as they can. Even on walk-in day, they tried to turn us away, and when I said it's Tuesday and walk-in, she tried saying it's only from 11:00-12:00. She backtracked when I questioned some more, then told us we have to wait, because someone is already booked, although it's walk-in day and they're not busy. That family was waiting outside of the main room, so I imagine that walk-in meant the same to them as to us. Interestingly enough, a young girl was in line and she managed to hand in her passport papers. This place has some serious issues with work ethic and just being plain polite. The other reviews are right, all of the employees are extremely rude for no reason. I watched two of them have the worst attitudes to a couple of older ladies and received less than kind words myself. They all need an attitude check, so just prepare yourself before going in. read more

USPS threw away a package given to them to return to sender that was sent to me via UPS and USPS and claim no liability for the cost of the item, for which I had paid $30.00. I had attempted to cancel the order but it had already been sent. I was instructed by the seller to not open it and just Return to Sender. I personally handed the package to my letter carrier who said that because it was sent UPS it would be placed into the UPS bin at the USPS - no problem. But after 7 or 10 days I checked the USPS tracking number and received the message that the package had been "Disposed of by USPS." I then called 1 800 ASK USPS and was told that "we dispose of packages all the time." She said that the package was probably "Undeliverable" so they threw it away. BUT USPS WAS NOT SUPPOSED TO DELIVER THE PACKAGE. THEY WERE GOING TO PLACE IT INTO THE UPS BIN FOR UPS TO DELIVER. USPS said that they are not liable for the cost as the package was not insured. Isn't that great? They can just dispose of packages, or keep them, at no liability just because they are not insured. To make matters worse there seems to be no way to speak to the PostMaster to address the fact that this unopened package was to be returned to the sender by placing it in their UPS bin, an issue NOT discussed in their explanations of why they destroy packages and why they feel no obligation to even let you know why your package was destroyed. read more

Terrible misinformation from PO worker. While sending one legal form via registered mail, (which I paid $19.65) was told there was a tracking number. When i tried to track it several days, later it appears REGISTERED MAIL TO BAHAMAS CANNOT BE TRACKED! So why did the postal worker suggest I sent it registered mail as a way of tracking?!! This was an important legal signature letter and I have no idea where it is!! Our closing is delayed and costing me more because of this. read more

I will never spend another dime in this place again. I mistakenly dropped off a package there inside the building in the drop box (the one on the wall) along with a piece of mail . The mail went where it needed and the package (should have gone to fed-ex) disappeared. I filed two complaints and was blown off each time. The package was my iPad which was supposed to go to Apple for repair. So I'm out the iPad and the post office refused to investigate and basically blew me off. read more

I had the worst costumer service ever! I have never been talked to the way the woman (I believe her name was Sara?) talked to me. I am an activity director at a nursing home and one of our resident's wives sent a package to him that was never received. We looked up the tracking number and it said that it was delivered on 8/31 at 1:40pm and signed for by an h Hartland. That is not a person who works at my facility. It was the name of our facility before we changed it because we have recently been bought out. The signature was also scribbled and unreadable and was in the same handwriting as the address. I called the 1-800 costumer service number yesterday 9/8 and the man on the phone was very helpful taking my statement and saying that he would send an investigation report to the specific post office that delivered it. He said that maybe they could provide me with a picture that the driver took of the package when it was delivered. I received a call yesterday (9/8) from the Green Rd Ann Arbor Post office at 3:30pm. I explained my story to her again. She told me that the package had been delivered and was signed for by H Hartland and there was nothing she could do about it because it was over two weeks old. I stated that it had only been one week as it said it was delivered on the 8/31. She immediately cut me off saying, "I didn't interrupt you when you were speaking." I was shocked. I was not in any way trying to blame her or the post office. She went on saying things like "I let you tell your story. Now it's my turn. Are you going to be quiet?" she said again that it was signed by H Hartland, and I told her again that that is not a person that works in our facility. It is our old name. She responded, "Are you done?" I asked if I could talk to a manager because we clearly weren't communicating well, and she told me she was the manager! I tried to stay calm, but I was very frustrated. I asked if she could find a picture of the package that the driver took after it was dropped off and she told me no. It was very upsetting because I was trying my best to be calm and helpful, as I was just trying to help one of my residents in our community. read more

My package is lost clearly because it says delivered and it's not there. I call and tell the lady she says let me check in the computer and puts me on hold. Never even asked for the tracking number. Do some of you not know that the post office services have been cut back, not because of the employees who are right in front of you, but because a certain politician has been trying to destroy the US postal service for the past two years. Also, have they heard of Covid? It is real and lots of people have quit their jobs so that they are not doing direct service work. A few have died. At this point, it is amazing that we have any mail service at all. Service jobs just can not hire enough people to do carry out their work. Please be kind to the few people who are left on the front lines and are struggling with no help, Covid and cranky customers. read more

I really like this post office! Love that it's open late and line is never too long- sometimes no line even. I come here weekly with tons of media mail since my husband works in publishing. International shipping and large mailings have always been made easy. Nearby construction makes it a little hard to get there, but the post office itself is great. read more

I see old negative reviews. My experience was superb. Everyone went out of their way to take care of me. I'll come back here anytime. No lines at 10am. Was here at 4pm yesterday and received the same outstanding treatment and no lines. This was after going to two other post offices that were unable to help me due to systems broken or down. read more

Whoever answers their operator line needs to take a customer service class. I had a package transferred from FedEx to USPS for delivery and they weren't able to deliver it Saturday as planned. They didn't leave a slip on my door so I call here to ask if they're holding the package. In the most monotone and "you're annoying me for making me work" tone he asks me for my slip number. He was very snarky when I said I only have a FedEx tracking number. He quickly tells me they'll attempt to deliver again today and that was that. I've never had good customer service here. read more

Exactly a year back, somebody from this branch, stole the valuable content of a package that was getting sent to me, repacked the box and sent air balloons, for a shipping fee of $72. The cashier's name was - Charles. Avoid international service/any services with them. I lost over $200 with them. Kept trying for a very long time to find a way to claim my lost article, finally given up! read more

Great, convenient location and a very nice building. The staff is efficient.... When you get the right person - but that's the case with most establishments. The older man who works there seems like he enjoys his job about as much as the average person enjoys a root canal, but that isn't entirely unlike his other colleagues, who generally resemble reluctant funeral attendees. This office used to be good, filled with hard working and trust worthy people. Lately, questionable things happened. I dropped off several packages and tracking showed they were picked up but now three weeks later never reached distribution center, while packages dropped off later went without a problem. Earlier this week, I again dropped off several packages at the drop box in the lobby, now three days later, tracking shows that they have not been scanned into the system at all. The packages I dropped off the day later exactly the same way have been scanned into tracking and are on their way. I suspect some of my packages have been stolen. Filled cases with them went nowhere - postmasters closed cases before the packages are found. So from now on be careful when you want to drop off mail there - you'd better just wait on line and watch they scan your stuff in. Also, buy insurance if you could - because there is a multiple-fold increase of theft activities in the USPS lately - just look them up. read more
