My fav location What did I get I always go to this location if I need to send anything. They have a kiosk where you can purchase stamps. I sent my package with certified mail and it was a seamless process. I was able to pick the best option for me. Environment This location is a full service location. There is PO BOX services, you can also purchase stamps and send packages. Niceness of the staff I needed to send a package to a location and the lady was very nice to explain everything to me. She showed me all the options for my package and was patient to explain it all to me! Very helpful! The people working here are friendly enough considering all they serve Orlando's most Rich, Famous and physically "enhanced" clientele. Aside from being pleasant, the folks at this office are really efficient, too! I generally don't go inside unless I absolutely must-like the other day my package was too big for the parcel drop and so I had to go in to the counter. I was going to leave it at the end closest to the exit so as to make a hasty retreat out the door since I was way underdressed for this location, but then the Postmaster called out "Bring down to the far end if it's all ready to go!" He was very nice about it and didn't insist I wait in the line which is always long here but...Grrrrr! Mr! I am not wearing my best shorts and I have on zero makeup! I scooted past all the beautiful people, dropped my box and hightailed it out of there before anyone noticed me. Parking spaces are plentiful and they also have tons of PO boxes, too. I love this location because I ship a lot of items I sell online from this branch and they are always postmarked the same day I drop them off. There are ups & downs to this location. It's small (super micro tiny) so it's not as noticed, I think, as the other locations. I've never waited in line more than 5 minutes ! Used to see some issues with employees snapping at patrons but although the staff hasn't changed; their personalities HAVE. 100% good attitudes since the end of 2017. Love this location. Okay, people always complain about the post office, but THIS post office is the exception. I actually will go out of my way to Windermere Post Office because the customer service is EXCELLENT. Other post offices make customers feel more of a nuisance, but at Windermere, customer service is in their mission statement. Let me give a few examples of the excellence found at Windermere. First, when my son was living outside the USA for nearly 8 years and many places, the staff was always helpful to make sure I had the correct forms to get items I was sending, completed properly so he would receive them. Sounds easy, but trust me, it can be confusing. Next, on many, many occasions, I have seen the staff go out of their way to help people that are physically challenged, providing assistance with packages and understanding the automated mail system in the lobby. Honestly, I wanted to cry on one occasion when I saw a staff member helping a 'seasoned' lady with a walker, trying to carry a stack of packages into the post office lobby. I was waiting in line and watched the employee jump into action very quickly. I wondered what commotion might be going on and then I saw the woman, probably 90 years old, lugging all the packages and trying to balance them on her walker. The employee took the packages and set them on the counter and helped her in the door, and set her up in the line of customers. I was next to be served, and when I got to the counter I asked if the man would allow her to go in my place. He was so kind and helpful already, and so gentle and genuine when he took her packages and helped her with her postage. Maybe it's the holiday spirit that got me choked up, but I honestly believe this employee really cared about the woman and wanted to help. This office is also always extremely CLEAN and ORGANIZED. There never seems to be clutter or trash that customers leave behind. My one pet-peeve of any place I go is the parking lot. If it's a mess of trash, bottles, wrappers, etc, I will not go inside. So, for parking availability and CLEANLINESS Windermere get a perfect score! Next, because the staff really seems to work as a team, the environment as a customer, even when there is a long line, is pleasant. Customers will actually strike up conversations with each other because the atmosphere is calm at Windermere. Now, my favorite part! When you get to the counter to be served, the staff will ACTUALLY greet you and look at you!!!!!! And when you leave, there will be genuine kind words like 'Have a nice day,' or 'Happy Holidays!' Once, I actually was sending mail on my birthday and since I had 'see id' on my credit card, the kind lady working said, 'well, happy birthday to you!' I know, that sounds crazy, but true. Many times, probably most of the time, postal workers are overwhelmed with work; yet, at this location, they don't let it show to the customer. They all deserve accolades for doing such great work with a public that can sometimes be very unhappy. There's just something about each person on this team has a way to change a person's day for the better. Ralph is my favorite because he is funny and has a funny quick-wit! I can always count on a laugh when he's at the counter. I did ask one employee why this place is just SO MUCH BETTER than my own zip code office and that person said they have a great leader in their Post Master for their office. The employee continued saying something to the extent of it being wonderful to work when you have a great boss. OH! This is one of the offices that had a choice to extend mailing hours before the holidays. This office stayed OPEN later to SERVE the public, unlike my zip code which, though much busier, chose to close early. I APPRECIATED THAT GREATLY!!! And everything I sent actually made it either EARLY or on time. KUDOS to all of you at Windermere Post Office! Thanks for making sending mail a nice experience! read more

I decieded to use the business Every Door Direct Mail to send out some flyers. I followed the directions online and made payment. I brought them into the windermere location only to get passed around until I was told that the "post master" wouldn't take my flyers because there was no stamp. Really? I paid $102 through usps.com and followed all specifications online to only get rejected at a local branch? The reason why I am typing this is because i then took my flyers to the local winter garden location and they took my flyers. Two days later I received calls, obviously they were delivered. So, to recap, the windermere location has a post master that lied and clearly doesn't want us to use their services. The winter garden location (on SR 50) is much better and they like their jobs. read more

For YEARS now, we have been getting our packages delivered wrong, they lose them, or they're just too incompetent to actually do anything about it or do their job right. Recently they lost a package with contents containing almost $90 and they tried saying it was hand delivered, which it obviously wasn't if I made a service request. Dropped our mail at the windermere post office. Ends up our master card payment never got delivered. Master card put a hold on our card which we did not know until my husband went to use his card and it was denied. Who's trunk is it in????? What a pain this has been. Had to stop payment on the check. Had to reactivate the card. Had to make payments over the phone to correct the issue. Had to inform other vendors. This post office has been an issue since we moved to windermere almost 6 years ago. And there is no sense in calling Greg, the Postmaster, to complain as nothing improves. I even reported them once to Consumer affairs as nothing happens. I thought when you placed a stamp on a letter or bill that it was a contract for them to deliver the mail in a timely manner. I like this post office location. The workers are friendly. There is rarely a line. You actually can get in and out of this post office fairly quickly. Their hours are also longer than other branches. So you can go to this location when the other post offices have closed. read more

Such a huge difference between different location. I usually drive to the one on Kirkman or Turkey lake , that's my second time here and both times the post office members are so rude and slow. Service becomes worse by the day. I have been getting letters weeks to 2 months after the initial post date as well as an email last week asking reminding me my credit card bill was late. When I called them up, they mailed my monthly bill a month ago! I know things happen but time and time again I'm getting my mail at nearly 9pm, instead of our usual 12-3pm and not receiving my mail. Last week I sent back two iPhones to my company and the post office failed to scan the phones to show I shipped them. I thought they were stolen! I absolutely love the Windermere post office. Although I live much closer to the bigger PO on Turkey Lake Road, I choose to come to this location because of the service and staff. I usually never wait more than a few minutes to see someone. And also, since my business requires that I mail out packages everyday, I can see (for some reason) that among the packages I track, the ones that are sent from this particular location get delivered faster to their destination. I have being using this post office for almost two years. There is never a long wait and the employees are super helpful and friendly.

Paid for and scheduled online an 11am package pickup for our small business - around 100 packages to be shipped to customers. We were told they would be there between 10-12. So we waited for two hours, and nothing. A small mail car comes by an hour and 1/2 late. Didn't bring the correct size truck to pick up our packages, even though we gave them the weight and the number of packages in our pickup confirmation. Says that they'll send a truck out by the end of the day. So we have to wait 5 more hours. That is, if this even happens. So we've lost the fee we paid for pickup and our customers won't get their packages on time. I don't see how anyone with a business can trust or rely on this post office. read more

Windermere Post Office is the worst at processing UPS Innovation Mail. More and more business are using UPS Innovations to deliver smaller parcels. UPS will deliver to the city depot and then pass it off to USPS for final destination delivery. Four out of my last six parcels delivered this way sat at the Windermere Post Office for over 5 days before being delivered to me. And only after I had to submit an inquiry as to where my parcel was did I get it delivered. The tracking shows UPS transferring the parcel to the post office for delivery and then nothing! At the moment I am waiting delivery of a parcel that was transferred to Windermere Post Office 4 days ago and again had to submit and inquiry as to where my parcel is in hopes of getting it delivered within the next couple of days. UPS Innovations Mail tells me they cannot help me because once the transferred is made it is in the USPS system. However, according to UPS Innovation Mail once USPS accepts the parcel it is to be delivered the next business day and tracking will tell me when USPS accepted the parcel. The parcel I am currently waiting delivery on was accepted at the Windermere Post Office 4 days ago! This is ridiculous!! read more
