When I got there, there was a long line. One postal worker was working on expediting by triaging and assisting customers who were just picking up. Not a fan of this post office. It's easy to spot on Kirkman and they offer some self services if you plan to pay with a card, which can be convenient. We had to come in to show our lease for a mail key. The key is supposed to be brought to our apartment leasing office, as stated on a paper given to us upon signing our lease. They tell us to come back in 5 days to pick it up. What? They're supposed to bring it but okay. I come in on Saturday **DO NOT COME ON SATURDAYS** and it was a complete waste of time. The line when I came in went out both sets of doors, and the line just BARELY almost a half hour later. They had one person there to answer general questions at the end of the counter and only one person behind the counter to help the line. A manager of some sort was there as well, but only tried to basically make people in the line leave and do self service. How about getting behind the counter to make things work faster? While the ONE person helping the line is busy taking tons of international packages? So stupid. We left. Had to come back today, only for them to tell me that I needed to give them $35 for the key, which is apparently a new fee they decided to apply BEFORE we came the first time. No wonder the usps is failing. This place is miserable. It's filthy, the line is 20 people long, and the employees are incredible rude. I had to deal with Robert who was condescending, and made me return to the back of the line at one point (instead of allowing me to add a label after I had already waited 20 minutes). I then overheard him talking politics with another customer which is incredibly unprofessional in my opinion. I will definitely be opting for ups or fedex in the future. read more

Don't go here. Came here for a package that has "marked delivered" 2 days ago but never was. I came in to show the tracking info and the worker has been "helping" me and for the last 5 minutes there was NO Worker in the main lobby, just a few people and myself waiting.. The Worst Customer Service EVER!! The Low Class, irrelevant, unethical, Coot "Baby Boomer" hangs up phone on me after waiting for 40 mins to speak to someone live, due to a zip code error on my package. Date: 11-21-17 At approximately, 1215pm I spoke to him. I have been waiting for my package to arrive to my address for nearly a month & this unskilled 'Technical Support' "Guy" had no empathy, no morals, no respect and showed no regards of my distress over a zip code error on my package when I lirately explained the issue I had to him; he says to me, 'He has to go', 'There's other people waiting I have to talk to' and 'I can't help you about this' once he understood I was not tolerating a no for an answer. Needless to say, I am still trying to correct this problem knowing I do NOT want my package(s) to be return to sender who is located in China. Lines are crazy here but staff is really nice. Greeting cards are sold here which is really convenient. If the line gets too long, there is an automated machine in the lobby. It's not hard to use the automated machine. You just need to be mailing something over a dollar and be using a card of some kind. read more

OK... I do realize that writing a review of any government agency is a lot like yelling at a toe truck driver. It is a waste of time and I know it. That being said perhaps I can help someone else not to get as upset with them as I am. I tried to forward my mail at this location for a month. I later learned that this is not possible with a system as broken down as the U.S. Post office. I wish the brain dead agent at the desk had told me this when I went in to fill out the form. They know it is a bad idea but do not care to help the people that pay their wages. No wonder the Postal Service has such a bad reputation. They deserve it. They did not forward my mail accept for a few pieces. Some of my mail was returned to the person who mailed it to me as undeliverable. Now I am getting notices from various institutions trying to find out my new address which has not changed. It has caused a big mess. They of course accept no blame. I now understand why people have given up on snail mail and switched to online mail and billing. The post office is no longer a good place to handle important correspondence. They are outdated and apathetic. I have been taught a lesson that will not happen again. I will be doing all my important mail over the internet and the rest will be put on a vacation hold or no notice at all from now on... Ever wonder why the post office can't turn a profit. To make it worst if call customer service call center they can't even get in contact with the post office. They have send back 3 of packages due to lack of communication. So unhappy with this PO... I've had small packages that fit in my mailbox @ home sent back to this location. I work from 8:30 PM - 5:00PM & go figure I can't go pickup my package because these idiots close @ 5PM... Here I am it's Monday & have to wait either on Saturday to get my package (because I'm off) or be late to work to pick up my package. Such an inconvenience! Also, I have sent packages & supposedly didn't put sufficient postage & they sent my package back to my home. I can't select a grade low enough to describe this location! The mail carrier for my neighbor cursed at my daughter previously because she interrupted her cigarette break. This past weekend I waited on a package all day only to go and check the mailbox at 1 to see a card put in my box stating that an attempt was made to deliver no one answered and the card WAS LEFT IN MY DOOR... um no! Her lazy ass placed it in the mailbox, she never attempted to come up the stairs as she never does because there are 4 flights to the 3rd floor! I am new to the area & I had tried multiple times to sign up online for informed delivery unsuccessfully, so I had to go in person to complete the process. There was a huge line here but all 3 of the employees I interacted with apologized for the wait & were very helpful. The manager, Bruce helped me finally get signed up for informed delivery. Despite the website being slow, my cell service not being good in the building, & even his equipment having to be charged half way through the process. Longer waits are much more tolerable when the employees are apologetic & polite. read more

I have had the worst experience with this branch of USPS. It's got nothing to do with the staff themselves, the people who work here are perfectly nice. But over the past 6 months, this branch has lost 3 pieces of important mail. The first time, they lost a package I had sent out that contained an item that someone had purchased from me. I put in a search inquiry, to no avail. Thankfully, the company I used for the transaction refunded the customer their money and still gave me commission for the sale. The second time, I ordered clothing from a company and the carrier delivered it to the wrong mailbox. I live in an apartment complex, and it was placed in the wrong cubby. It was never found, and the clothing company actually sent me a replacement (so kind of them). I didn't hear anything from USPS until a month later, when they called me to tell me they had seen my lost mail request, and sorry but they hadn't found anything. Ridiculous. The last, and most recent (and perhaps the most infuriating) is an envelope I sent out last week. I used their self-serve shipping kiosk to weigh and envelope that contained a hand painted card for my dad's birthday that I was shipping to South Florida. I sent it out on Monday with 3-day shipping, and didn't bother to purchase insurance or tracking since it was an envelope that only cost 1$ to ship. BIG MISTAKE. It's been over a week and a half, and the envelope is missing. It hasn't popped back up in my mailbox, and my parents have not received it. The sentimental value of this is devastating for me, and I have no way to track this which means it's a lost cause. I've never had any issues with the post office in other locations until I moved to Metrowest and used this one. I'm extremely disappointed. Thankfully I will be moving soon and will not have to rely on this branch again. read more

Every single time I have gone into this post office it has been a pleasant experience. I have had a manager help me in the past who was GREAT and the associate Rob also stands out. He has waited on me a few times and has been so helpful and always kind. He tries to expedite the lines and we all know how long the lines can be. garbage. complete and utter garbage. first they forward my mail incorrectly (I never requested it - they are confusing me with my mother who has a similar name). then, in an attempt to fix it, they refuse to answer the phone. they left me a voice mail on the weekend to call back today. I have attempted to call 8 times between 10:30 am and now and it has rung on and on for a minute without being answered. Twice they took the phone off the hook after I called multiple times.
