The Christmas Post office is amazing to go to, specially when mailing your Christmas cards. Starting December 1, they have plenty of cure stamps out for everyone to use. They have Christmas themes with the general saying of "mailed from Christmas FL" and both red and green ink pads the lines are long-ish but the employees are wonderful. This is my new tradition which I started after reading a similar review from fellow Yelpie Joe S. There's parking right outside as well. read more

Established in 1892, this is the small Post Office that services the town of Christmas Florida. Christmas is located just east of Orlando on State Road 50 in eastern Orange County. You might think the town was named for the popular winter holiday but it was actually named for Fort Christmas, which was built on Christmas Day 1837 during the Second Seminole War. You can see a replica of the fort and a pioneer village a short drive from the post office. The town does like to capitalize on their holiday name however. St. Nicholas Avenue is the main street in town and nearby reindeer-inspired roads include Rudolph Street, Dasher Street and Blitzen Avenue. Their mascot is St. Nick and the town logo is "It's Always Christmas in Christmas, Florida." Most folks drive through this small town on their way to Orlando but during the holiday season people travel a great distance to mail their holidays cards from here. The Post Office in Christmas, Florida is about 15-20 minutes from our house (depending on the 90 year old in front of me driving), and we typically stop here once a year to mail Christmas Cards... oops, I mean Holiday Cards, to Family and Friends. I thought it would be cool to have a postmark with Christmas FL on it. (I don't think they will change their name to Holiday, FL) What I learned THIS year is if you go inside, they have rubber stamps and ink pads where you can stamp your envelopes with fun additional designs. These aren't official postmarks, but just ways to decorate your cards. There were people from 1-2 hours away coming just to mail their cards from this small post office on Rt. 50. Don't get too drunk with excitement and pass out or you may be leaving with Santa stamped on your forehead. I would imagine it gets crowded during peak mailing season so if you venture here to mail holiday cards, be prepared to wait. I got there early on a Saturday and line formed behind me. read more

Went to this post office to issue my daughter's passport, it's not the closest to me but was the one with an available appointment within a reasonable time, we arrived there at the time of our appointment, filled the paperwork, service was prompt and fast and we were happy with the whole process. everything went smoothly and were in and out in half an hour. read more

Four stars for a post office that on a Saturday morning had no lines, no waiting! My husband and I were heading to Mims and remembered we needed to go to P.O. This location was right on the way. There were maybe 2 cars in the lot. The outside of the building has Christmas candy canes, duh, because we are in Christmas! Inside, p.o. boxes are to your right & to your left there is a door that opens to full service. It is small, only two counters & one staff member small. It is a full service location, so don't let the small size discourage you. We were in and out in 4mins. Good job USPS. read more

Great, friendly service sets this branch apart. It also doesn't get as crowded as some of the other locations. Again, let me mention the service, it exemplifies the ideal of a small town community feel, where people know the regulars and engage on small talk during the transaction. This has been going on since 1930 when postmistress Juanita Tucker began stamping letters with "Glory to God in the Highest--Christmas, Orange County, Florida." Today, the Christmas post office offers a choice of postmarks from Hanukah to Kwanza to Christmas, nobody gets left out. Of course this has only increased business at the post office. Some letters come in not for the postmark, but are addressed simply to Santa Claus. Maybe folks think that Santa, like so many other northerners, has retired to Florida. Fast and great service. I went in at 12:25pm to turn in my daughter's passport application. The lady postal employee worked very fast and was extremely efficient. We were out of there in 10 minutes. the people who work here have your typical lazy government employee attitude! They do not want to work or deliver any sort of customer service. Always and all of them with an attitude on their face! I make the trek (about 45 minutes) every year to mail my Christmas cards from the post office located in Christmas, Florida just to add something special (a card post marked from "Christmas") to these holiday greetings. I usually drive there at night (which, I know, is the opposite of a good idea). The area barely has any light as the post office is in the middle of no where (well, the whole town of Christmas is actually in the middle of no where) and it was scary. Once I ventured inside (after making sure Bigfoot or other suspicious creatures weren't lurking around), I was sorely disappointed. In the past, even if I came here past midnight, there were stickers and markers and ink stampers sprinkled around the post office for patrons to add an extra, extra special touch to their holiday cards and packages. During this most recent visit, there was none of that - just a sad little plastic Christmas tree in the corner. Oh well, at least my Christmas card recipients still got a kick out of getting a Christmas card from "Christmas." read more

I love sending my Christmas cards from here! Everyone is always so nice. I've read some reviews that they aren't postmarked from Christmas and they don't allow you to use the rubber stamps anymore. This is not true. I went this year and used two different stamps that were in the lobby area. I didn't have to give them my license this year like I have in the past. I also asked a family member to take a picture of the post mark that is on them. I've attached the picture. read more
