The customer service is below standards. I know that there was a sign that read "Drop Off" but it was so poorly written and a bit ambiguous, and wasn't sure if it was for a specific mail type or a general one, so I kindly asked the worker (Older African American lady with headphones on) if that was in fact the drop off, and she brusquely and impolitely replied, "see that sign? Hello?", and quickly returned to her work. I found it offensive as she dismissed me without really assuring that I comprehended the makeshift set-up. I'm extremely disappointed at the level of customer service at one of our time honored institutions. This has to be the worst USPS ever. The lady Debbie is so rude that she makes things very difficult. Can't even ask her a simple question without her snapping back at you. She needs to find something else that doesn't consist of helping customers. She is the total opposite of when you think of customer service. read more

Absolute waste of time. Always busy, scarce parking, and terrible employees. They refused to scan my package in when I asked for a receipt, claiming that they are not allowed to and must have someone else at a different location scan packages for them. The clerk was also NOT WEARING A MASK OR ANY FACE COVERING. They have a sign in the lobby claiming that customer satisfaction is their top priority, but clearly it is not. read more

I was in this post office at 10:30 AM today and have NEVER seen such horrid customer service in my life! I approached the woman at her service window and said good morning as I slid my items under the protective plexiglass. Instead of a return good morning, she immediately began complaining that the priority mail envelop I gave her was empty "why is there nothing in this?" I attempted to explain I wasn't sure if they needed to see the contents before sealing the envelope but I never got that far. In a continued demeaning and condescending attitude, she proceeded to say I had taken the wrong envelope and told me to grab the correct one from the very same compartment that I had just grabbed the wrong one. When i attempted to explain this to her, she walked off mumbling. I went over to where she had pointed and did find the correct envelopes. When I attempted to eplain to her that someone probably set a wrong one on top so I didn't see the correct one, she became extremely hostile. She came back and refused to serve me so I was left waiting for her supervisor. Her supervisor was actually standing there the entire time and allowed this member of her staff to continue to treat me in this manner. I am disgusted at the rudeness of the staff and supervisors at tis location! If you don't like the job, then quit and let someone who is a decent person take it over! read more

My experience with this location is that all team members are always super helpful, patient and very friendly. I never saw a customer complaining or beeing unhappy. Instead both customers and USPS team members have fun, are joking with each other and it's simply an enjoyable experience here. I have no idea where all this 1 star reviews are coming from. Go to a different post office. I'm not kidding. You will waste your time here. I know the post office is going through horrible changes while our democracy barely holds on, but holy **** this place is almost hilarious how bad it is. The customer service is the worst I've ever experienced and I'm used to being called slurs while ordering food. The workers are extremely old and needed to retire 20 years ago. I came in to set up my PO Box that I paid 60 dollars for and the employee called me a liar. I showed her my email and she called me a liar again. It was comical. She didn't understand how her own system worked. I get it, you're 80 years old, but why should that affect me? You shouldn't be working anymore. What kind of B calls a customer a liar repeatedly? What do you get out of that? Let's just figure it out instead of insulting me over and over again for no reason. I love the post office and what it represents but it's just the the DMV for packages. Ugh... I believe this location is being closed and it just can't happen soon enough. There is absolutely no place to park. Forget it. There are like 3 spots in front and if you don't snag one of those (you won't), you are just SOL. The counter staff is not only rude, they're mean. And sort of scary. You've heard of people going "postal"... yeah. I wouldn't push these ladies very far... they are on an extremely short fuse. Just avoid this place if you can. During the Christmas time rush they only had one postal worker who was about 80 years old and getting into long conversations with each person and was often confused about what to do. Each person in line took about 15 minutes and the line was ridiculously long and dangerous to stay indoors for so long. I always dread going to the post office but recently started selling my paintings on Etsy and needed to ship a unique size out. Kathleen was such a joy and was so helpful in my search for the right box and packing materials. She told me she loves to paint too! And was so sweet sharing some of her interests with me. She really made this otherwise simple mundane task extra special and was such a ray of sunshine in my day today. Just went in for the first time since my last one star review of this place and I can assure you they are still just as rude and passive aggressive as ever! How are they allowed to treat customers like this?? I just got a full lecture in front of everyone there because I didn't have my box sealed and wanted to triple check everything was in there correctly, which took about 3 seconds. Then I asked if she had packing tape to which I was told "I don't have tape for customers but I'll do it this one time." Literally comical how rude the woman who "helped" me was. I ship from UPS and FedEx all the time and they're happy to provide tape. Steer clear of this location if you can. I have been going out of my way to the Cherokee location the past few years and they couldn't be nicer or more helpful over there. read more

Probably the worst customer service I've had in my life thus far. I've never before been refused service for requesting to double check info with another employee who just helped me, after I politely made clear I received different info at different windows... for an important document that could have costed me 300 with the contents of it (not to mention a fine of it didn't get there on time). Everytime I come in here the postal employees are berating the customers and I watched the 2 employees berate a customer today after they didn't clearly direct her. I waited a half hour for the post office window clerk to have my packages scanned. I had already prepaid for the shipping labels and attached them. The day before, I dropped 8 boxes into their bin which weren't scanned and couldn't be tracked. The clerk said they couldn't scan prepaid packages due to Covid-19, but said she could take the packages from me. So if she couldn't handle my packages for a quick second due to Covid-19 to give me a receipt, why would she even take them from me in the first place? I also told her about the 8 packages which went missing because they weren't properly scanned, and now my recipients are unable track to their items. She did not care, and said she could take my packages without scanning them. I said that I would take my packages to another post office and left. I drove to the Cherokee Post Office and they scanned my packages, and the clerk happily gave me a receipt for my packages. I would not use the Fairfax Weho post office. Instead go to a U.S. Post Office who will do the job they should be doing, so you can properly track your items. read more

The worst post office in southern Cali. It's 9:15 and they still haven't opened their doors which were suppose to be open at 9 am. They aren't answering their phone and have lost my package. OMG avoid this post office!!! First off the 3 ladies that work there are the most miserable people I've ever came encounter with. If you ask them any questions they will respond with some rude ass comment. I just went in to drop off 2 pre paid packages. The line was long and I saw a lady to the side clearly on break. I knocked on her window and said excuse me.... no response even tho she can clearly hear me. I knocked again and said excuse me louder... still nothing. so I just kept saying it and finally she says, what?! I responded can you please tell me where to put pre paid packages and she just pointed to the right. and then goes WHAT PART OF CLOSED WINDOW DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND. Warning! Ship valuable packages here at your own risk! I dropped a box off at an older lady at the window - got a receipt and then the package was lost. There is no record of it leaving this office. Leaving packages here is like checking luggage into the airport. Very shady place. The people working here sucks! I had a few issues with some of the older ladies at this location. There is one that seems to work there for years, and she thinks she owns this place. I came to send a package, and she was condescending​​ and refused to help me out. She ​ walked away from me, ​and I had to call the manager. She just made a big scene because my name was missing in my envelope and she wanted me to step aside while taking care of the next person. What she wanted me to do could take more time than​ just having me write my name on the spot​. She made none sense. She was mean and impatient​, Wow! That was something else. If I could give them negative stars I would. They have the worst attitude and customer service at this location. The people who work there are lazy and don't care about the service they provide. This is the third time I've had some issue with them. I dropped off shipments and they forget to scan them or they somehow get lost in their facility, they don't deliver the items on time. This place has gone considerably downhill ever since they hired several new staff members. Just a little earlier this afternoon I purchased a birthday card and a book of 20 stamps... but was given a book of 10 instead. Something I didn't realize until I got home. So, perhaps it is my fault for not double-checking right there and then, but it's sad when you aren't able to rely on someone at the post office to have decent math skills. Also, the counter attendant next to mine was complaining about a customer who admittedly was proving to be difficult (language barrier and elderly age). She actually said "I don't get paid enough for this." out loud while scowling at the poor guy! So rude! If you choose to pursue a customer service job, either learn some actual customer service skills or find another occupation. There's just a really sour and negative vibe at this location now. Came here on dec 12, Saturday morning between 10:30am-11am. Witness absolutely rude behavior of worker towards a customer who didn't speak English well, all she did was ask a question and the worker gave attitude and refused to answer the question. Not only that she then refused to help the patient and then closed her kiosk. There were only three of them working, and the line of customer was out the door with over 15 people waiting. The other older worker in the middle kiosk with the short dyed blonde hair who has been mentioned in other posts of not wearing a mask, refused to give her name too as well as the first rude worker. Only the 3rd nice woman worker wearing a mask was able to smooth over the situation and help out. The supervisor of this branch, YVONNE MCGILL, I hope you take to task the appalling behavior of the staff members and actually reprimand them because 1. Not only are a majority of them not wearing a mask, 2. They also are not doing their jobs in any manner of helping anybody out read more

Oh my Christing GOD. Friday of 4th of July weekend: should you be fully staffed? Yes? No! I walk in, the line is 15 deep, with two windows open. Should the two windows you have be fully stocked and functional? Yes? No! After waiting in line for 15 minutes to get money orders at 1 o'clock, one of the two people that can help me said that she couldn't make them because her machine broke earlier in the day. When you get to the 1 clerk who can help you, should she be efficient and quickly handle your request and get you out of line? Yes? No! Instead of focusing on printing my money order so that she can get past me and move on to the next fourteen people waiting for her help, she spends time checking her Instagram and plugging in her phone to be charged, as well as gossiping with the clerk next to her for nothing that's work-related. I'm not anti post office and had some great experiences and some post offices, but this one sucks and whoever manages it should be fired. Period. read more

In most U.S. Post Office buildings if they are testing for drugs they sure don't need to test for speed but these people behind the counter were very efficient/friendly and didn't look like they were impersonating a slow-mo soccer replay like in others I have been to. In addition to that, what can we really say? It's a Post Office; they sell stamps and mail packages; they do what they do. Okay so I see this place has some mixed reviews. I'm sorry but I had a bad experience. Could be a mix between the fact that there were only two people working plus one customer had a HUGE order but I still felt like things were awfully slow. People were also SUPER antsy so it could have just upped my whole anxiety of waiting in line but I don't know. They seemed nice to regulars but not as open to someone new like me. I know this is not the way to do things, but I had a package I had to tape up. This was my game plan, buy tape and immediately tape up (literally took 10seconds b/c I used to tape up packages all the time at my old job) while the usps person enters in the address info (I was using a flat fee box so weight did not matter). But of course when I tried doing this the USPS person tried to make me wait back in line but IT WAS LITERALLY A 40MIN WAIT..I COULD NOT :( I had to kind of argue my way while quickly taping and it honestly took 7sec and they just kept trying to make me feel bad telling me that I was disrespecting everyone in line. Look, I get that I was technically holding things up but the didn't have the tape for sale outside, it was inside their counter so I had to wait either way and it was the tinest hold up and I would have no problem apologizing to anyone who was really peeved and told me. But no one did, I am not the problem dude. /end rant. read more

GWEN SHOULD BE FIRED !!!!! I was coming in to do my passport onTuesday and i didn't have a certain paper so i was told to come the next day. I took a day off at work and brought everything I needed and they told me they don't do passports that day.I asked why and one of the staff names "GWEN" yelled at me very rudely in front of all the other customers that they're short on staff,even though there were only 2 people in the line I asked to speak to the manager and she yelled at me saying NO.When I asked when they are doing passports they said maybe next week.Another person at the office gave me a number to call the manager and no one picked up. Came to by a money order this morning. One clerk at the window with 2 people in line. After waiting 25 minutes :) was advised that she does not have money orders to sell and I have to wait for another clerk to show up in another 20 minutes.
