The guy who 'took care' of us immediately showed how much he hated his job. He didn't even ask how we were before rudely and abruptly asking for copies of everything. I was very nervous I wasn't going to have everything and really needed this to go smoothly because I am a single mom that needed to find a location close to my daughters father cause I needed to pick him up because he doesn't have a car. So finding the right time for this was difficult by itself. The guy acted like I submitted passport applications for infants everyday. When I asked him questions or commented on certain things he completely IGNORED ME then kept on with the process. I had everything I needed and was proud that I did this all on my own. Then I told him my last name was different at birth and didn't know if i that mattered. I was told my a different professional that a copy of my SS CARDS one of each last name would be enough. He goes 'do u have a BCert. Or liscence with the name on it and I said no but would this work and all he did was repeat the same sentence. So I said okay no I don't but should I do this over and make a new appointment once I have my documentation even though I have everything else? He doesn't answer my question and goes 'well I'm just gonna send it and see what happens. I asked him if he knew someone he could ask to see if all my info I gave was enough. He ignored me and said money order or check. I asked again and he repeated 'money order or check' so I just gave up and paid the fee and left. The next day I called this location in hopes to solidifying the fact that I would be okay without that one document. Of course the same guy answers and says 'once it's sent to the state it's their problem not mine, as I stated yesterday' I said awesome thanks for nothing and hung up. I also realized that he never gave me my daughters birth certificate back (last document he scanned) and most likely left it in the copier but I was so flustered with his AWFUL service and my ex was also no help at all and I forgot to double check before I left. This employees name is Todd and I hope he finds a better fit job for himself one day that doesn't involve customer service.

Twice I have done a vacation mail hold and twice they have not delivered my mail when they were supposed to. Each time I called, it was the same answer. 'Yeah, we we're supposed to deliver it but we didn't. You can either wait until tomorrow or come down and pick it up.' I found this apathetic response underwhelming and when I asked who his supervisor is, he said he wouldn't tell me. He said if I wanted to complain about him, call the 800 customer service line (a virtual deadend for filing a complaint). Is there any wonder why the US Postal system is in such disarray? With the old-time holier than thou mentality, and NO effort to attempt to correct THEIR mistakes, I would suggest taking your business elsewhere.

It's not far from my office and it's WAY easier to get in and out of than the Brockton PO. I went the other day to mail a textbook I sold online. I threw the thing in a box with some padding and couldn't find an inch of packing tape at my office so I went to the PO with an unsealed packaged. I figured I could charm a postal worker into taping the thing up for me and saving me the $3 or so it would cost to buy a roll of packing tape. Success! Me: (batting eye lashes and trying to appear as needy as possible) "do you have any tape to seal my package?" Friendly postman: "I suppose I can do that for you". Awesome. They were selling the stuff in there so I thought he might say "turn around and buy a roll" to which I was going to play dumb as though I didn't walk right past it. Moving right along but backing up, this post office is the size of shoe box... which is what makes it great because it's a small town PO but there were 2 patrons in there, myself and one other person. There was another postal worker behind the desk just milling about while I waited for a good 5 mins or so... we even made eye contact several times. Ordinarily I would have though "oh well" but I was on my lunch break and the clock was ticking. It'll still be my go-to PO because when all is said and done, it is still much faster than Brockton but come on, not everyone is on small-town time!
