Consistent awful service. Long lines. Rude, unhelpful, unprofessional employees. Avoid this Post Office if you can.

I'll start off with the gripes about this post office. I really really wish it had an automatic…read morepostage center. I am part of this book mailing club, and I go to the post office all the time and need the same amount of postage every time. When I used to work on M Street in Dupont, all the post offices around me had APCs. It would really make things more convenient instead of waiting in line for 20 minutes when all I need is a stamp for $2.23! Also, there's always this guy there in the morning getting a money order and every one of this trips takes like 20 minutes. I always have to make sure I go well after 9am because his ass is always at the counter. OK, so one of the ladies isn't all that nice, but I love Towanda. Since, like I said, I go to the post office alot, she's gotten to recognize me so she'll always smile at me and ask how I'm doing. One time, I mailed a big package to my friend who's in the Peace Corps in Africa. I told Towanda all about it, and then about 2 weeks later when I came in to mail a book, she asked me about my Peace Corps friend. I thought it was so great that she remembered. So, get to know your postmasters! They're much nicer when you do. And be nice to them too!

This is absolutely the worst post office on earth. The staff is rude and unhelpful and they are…read morealways out of mailing essentials. Avoid this particular location if you can.

Unfortunately, this is the worst USPS I've ever visited. There were no less than three employees…read moreworking here when I went during the afternoon, yet only one employee was helping a customer. It was clear that the employee and the customer were having a good time talking, and then another, more senior employee with headphones on would come and yell at the employee helping the customer from time to time. He would say really rude things and talk down to him and it was super uncomfortable to witness. Once the employee was finally able to help me, he started FaceTiming his girlfriend or someone he knew on his phone. I'm guessing it was his gf because he was saying really inappropriate things, while I was in complete shock. I was literally standing in front of him asking him questions and taping up my package and felt like I was interrupting his convo... I had to wait until whatever he was finished saying so I could pay and wrap up the transaction. I know this is the USPS, but even from the most basic customer service perspective, come on!!! How do you not feel ashamed to have an extremely private conversation on speaker phone in front of a customer? USPS also provides surveys on their receipts for transactions, so I will definitely report this.

This is my favorite needle in a haystack. I've been here a few times before, and is just s tiny…read morelittle thing. Only 2 workers usually, one tiny counter. It's close to where I work, that's how I found it the first time. It's literally off the map. Every time I try to come here, I'm always squinting, and driving really slow looking for it. The thing that makes it great is the fact that it's so well hidden. It's my secret spot office, and generally it's not too busy because it's hidden so well. I've had the slender older guy help me, and he's pleasant & helpful.
