The lines are excessively long, and the counter is typically staffed by only two people who if were matched up in a 100 meter race against snails, would absolutely lose to the snails. No matter how busy or packed this place gets, the staff exhibits no sense of urgency or expediency whatsoever. And their mannerism is lacking in the most basic of customer service skills - courtesy. I dread any occasion I have to visit this establishment even more than a proctological examination.

If you're looking for the definition of incompetent, this is exactly where you'll find it…read more I came in on a fine Thursday afternoon to drop off a package with a prepaid USPS shipping label that I had purchased through eBay. I patiently waited in line, and when it was finally my turn, the experience was honestly unbelievable. The associate behind the counter attempted to scan my label 4-5 times and couldn't get it to scan. No problem -- things happen. She then proceeded to manually enter the tracking number into the system. While doing so, she was simultaneously carrying on a conversation with her manager/another associate about "lawyering up" over something and giggling throughout the conversation. I'm all for a fun workplace and employees having good relationships with their coworkers. That's not the issue. The issue is when that conversation takes priority over actually paying attention to the customer you're servicing. She entered the tracking number multiple times, apparently couldn't locate it in the system, and then simply told me that the label was invalid and that she couldn't accept my package. I was standing there watching the entire process thinking, Wow... seriously? The frustrating part is that she never seemed particularly interested in figuring out what was actually wrong with the label. Instead, after a few attempts while being distracted by her conversation, the conclusion was simply, "I can't take this." Maybe the label was the issue. Maybe the system was the issue. But the way this was handled made it impossible for me to have any confidence that either was actually checked properly. I walked out with the same package I came in with, despite having a legitimate prepaid shipping label, and had to find another way to get it shipped. Man. What a life.

They forged my signature and dropped the box in front of my door in a black plastic bag. Opened the bag the box is soaking wet and smelled like vinegar. Took it back to the post office the next day and explained to the supervisor, it was delivered signature required I never signed and presented her the box inside the plastic bag. She whispered to the teller "those are MTA uniforms" then tells me they had an entire shipment of boxes that came to them wet. Yet instead of sending them back and saying it was damaged in transit they decided to send them to me. Because of my connections I called another post office and had them run the tracking number and I was told "someone signed it as if they were you and they spelled your first name wrong" . Isn't that a federal offense? The supervisor sent it back "refused" so, now I have to call the uniform company and tell them what happened and let them know to look out for the damaged box and to resend the uniforms to me once they receive the package.
