I had great customer service with Aileen at this branch! She was friendly, efficient, and treated me like a person, which sadly has not been my usual experience at Post Offices. I would've given 5 stars for my interaction with Aileen, but the other woman working with her was rude and went out of her way to make me feel uncomfortable even though she was not the one assigned to help me. Given my experience with this employee, I understand the negative reviews here. read more

Horrible service!! Do not go here, you'll stand in pointless lines and the lady there is not helpful and rude. PS right when the post office closed the lady didn't want any more people coming in so she LOCKED the door and we all had to wait inside until she she went back and forth to let people out in groups. She wouldn't let just one person out at a time so people just had to stay locked in the post office, absolutely ridiculous and I'm pretty sure that is against the law read more

Friendly, helpful, and professional service. Though there was a bit of a line when I arrived, the three clerks who were helping customers were all cheerful and efficient, even when customers had complex needs or many questions. The office itself is functional, not elegant. But it only took me 5 minutes to mail all my packages on a busy day, and the employee who helped me put a smile on my face. It's not clear to me that older, 1-star ratings for this branch have anything to do with the current quality of service here. read more

OK, I can't be the only person who has consistently bad experiences with this post office. I ship regularly for business, am a pleasant and friendly person, am easy to communicate with, am sharp enough to understand directions and do research on services before I go; just generally a good and easy customer. I have had some of the worst customer service ever here. Sometimes even bordering on rude. I get tense just thinking about how the employees behind the counter sigh and act as if you are nothing short of a burden for them. They seem to EXPECT that you did something wrong or that you are stupid, and look for any tiny sign proving themselves right. The short woman with the curly dark hair and glasses is the absolute WORST. I have talked to several other business owners in Queen Anne who agree. I saw a woman leave nearly in tears after working with her because she had 'taped a box wrong'. I honestly don't understand how these people can work with the public and retain their jobs. I swear my blood pressure goes up just thinking about it! I would honestly write complaint letters to the Us postmaster general if I thought it would be worth my time but from what I understand they are pretty much immune from getting fired. Fun times for us! read more

Way too many times I've stopped in here to mail something and I ALWAYS ask myself why, why here? They are rude and condescending and it pisses me off. I've recently realized that there are numerous options for shipping and I do NOT have to use them... so long USPS Queen Anne! read more

I would give negative stars if I could for this joke of a post office. I get being short staffed but the post office in general are morons. I wasted 45 min waiting in for fucks sake to ONE cashier. ONE cashier to 15 people and the line stretched out the door. In fact, while I'm writing this I probably missed my package to be delivered to me anyway. AVOID this place at all costs!!!! They hire the most slow and incompetent people. read more

One star ONLY because it's walking distance from my home...... I took in 6 prepaid packages to be returned for items I purchased for Christmas but needed to be returned, I deliberately waited until now to avoid the Holiday rush! I stood in line for 20 minutes. While in line I noticed a customer at the desk being serviced which took about 10 minutes for the transaction to be completed. I waited patiently for my turn. Because of a prior package being lost in the mail I waited for a postal clerk's assistance so I could have printed verification that the packages were handed in. When I finally had my chance for service .... the female attendant (#8) processed my packages and printed the receipt which took her all of 4 minutes....(at the most!) then she proceeded to tell me ( in a nasty tone) that there was no way for her to provide this service in the future as "if she were to do this for every customer the line would be out the door"! REALLY!? I wait for 20 minutes+ and you can't give me 5 minutes of service? Shame on you and your facility! She (nastily) stated this was something that must be done "on line"! So.... I'm a senior that does use a tablet but I don't have a computer or a printer . So what ... Nasty lady are YOU there for? 5 minutes of personal service is FAR too much for you!? Get REAL! read more

I left my cell phone on the counter and walked off, 45 minutes later I realized where I had left it, came back and they had held on to it behind the counter - I don't care what anyone says, these people are my heroes!! read more

Slowest post office and they don't care to bring down the line. Instead one employee stays at door and greets everyone. Never coming here again read more

I just went today to mail a package, around 2 o'clock on a Wednesday. There was only one person waiting ahead of me. The postal worker was very nice and friendly and helpful. An experience I was kind of dreading turned out great :) read more

I don't ever give bad reviews but this one is a must. The lady there obviously hates her job because her attitude towards everyone was rude. She made me buy a roll of tape when there was clearly a roll on the table. Great thanks read more

Well if your going there to ship something I would probably avoid going between the hours of 9-6 which happens to be in fact all of their working hours. If you get a girl by the name Linda, known otherwise by the nickname on her name tag as Honey, you might as well try again never. Don't worry though this is why AlGore invented the Internet. read more

The worst post office. Always understaffed. No sense of urgency whatsoever. What post office / manager staffs 1 person on a Saturday ?? Ridiculous. read more

Long Lines, Poorly lit, staff is always unhelpful. They are the cheapest place to go to when you need to ship a package. I guess you get what you pay for. read more

Who mails stuff anymore? I pay all of my bills on-line. I use this thing called email or text to communicate. I waited in line for 20 minutes to buy a stupid stamp. It was freak show central, just like the DMV or Social Security office. How do these people afford to live on Queen Anne? As I walked out a different door I entered, I passed an automated machine to buy a stamp. STUPID me. read more

I worked with Terrell to put postage on 76 corporate packages, a tedious process, and during the Christmas rush no less. He was very patient and encouraging, and was quick for an otherwise slow process. Thanks for the great service, Terrell! read more

Can't beat the automation there which allows for extended lobby hours. However, they don't seem to staff for peak hours effectively when you need to see a postal clerk. Otherwise, it's a US Post Office. read more

Hands down the worst post office I've ever been to. I never get out under 30 minutes. They are always under staffed. And always have an express lane that takes people with one domestic item. So if you have two packages or international good luck. I've spent an hour waiting in line while express people cut in. So ridiculous. This place needs more staff especially mid day and do away with the stupid express lane it's horrible customer service. read more

Insanely bad service. 3 people were working the counter when I entered but two decided tho go on extended break at the same time. Took an hour. Disgraceful service. read more

The supervisor here is a dick. I tried to ship a package here and they handed me tape and a box and told me to tape it up, so of course I did. When they told me the total price it was over twice what I was expecting to pay and I couldn't afford, nor did they offer me any options to lower the price, and no my box wasn't very big or heavy. Then they were going to charge me $12 for the box and $4 for the tape that they didn't tell me I was being charged for. The supervisor was a total dick about it and treated me like a child and made me pay for the tape. Maybe if they would mention that they are going to charge for using their tape that wouldn't have happened. I know that job sucks but I hope he gets diarrhea for the way he acted. And I ended up shipping it Fedex. Thanks dicks. read more

I just went there yesterday and had to endure 30 minutes of wait to send an international letter. This was my unpleasant trip number 3. For those of you who may not know, you cannot tape your shipping label with Scotch tape if you want this to be registered. My infrequent visit to the Post Office means that I neglected that they only accept paper tape. I was sent over to buy a new envelope and waited all over again lin line. Just before my turn, the same clerk (Lisa) put the sign 'This window is closed' and proceeded to move the packages on the counter. This left no staff at the counter with a few people in line. The other clerk was busy in another room. The clerk who completed my transaction was nice. My first unpleasant encounter with this particular clerk was sending a package oversea. I reused the priority mail box for the packaging. Bad! I was not supposed to do that. Given the rate that I'd be charged, I took it home and repackaged for a much lower rate. Priority mail envelopes and boxes are not allowed to be reused, even when you wrapped over your packaging. Only a few short years ago, the line stretched to the outside during the holiday eason. I had to send a package last X'mas, there were only several customers in ine. The demise of the Post Office is no small wonder. read more

I have never had a bad experience at the QA post office. For such a small place they have lots of customers. Maybe all the negativity is because those complaining about slowness singing etc. are so damn uptight and feel they are entitled. Slow down and enjoy life. And maybe smile once in a while, it may change things in your lives read more

I'm writing this specifically complementing the very lovely and nice Asian lady. She is always so genuinely nice and friendly.

This is the best post office I have been to my whole life. This location is very fast, there is never long lines, which is surprising being located in the city. I don't know their names but there is a man and lady who work there most days, they are supper friendly and always have a good attitude. The vibe is really nice here and a really convenient. read more

Okay, folks, this is a post office. I have always had good service here and the workers are nice, some of them extremely friendly - I've never had an encounter that was less than pleasant in three years of visits. I am shocked by the nastiness of some of the reviews posted here; and indeed I wouldn't see a reason to review a post office, except that many of these complaints are irrational. 1- it's not these employees' responsibility to fix mistakes on Yelp. Please, children, be a little more self-reliant, and phone a business ahead of time if missing their open hours is going to cause you to melt down. 2- it's not these employees' fault if their office is understaffed. The postal service used to own the building; now they have to rent it. Obviously funding is an issue. Not the workers' fault. read more

Worst post office ever. They left me a note in my box the day I moved into my apartment saying there was too much mail waiting for me. I called and called for a week and no one answers the f'ing phone. I work like most people so how am I supposed to get over there? God they suck! read more

The US Post Office is located in the heart of Queen Anne across from the Key Arena. The hours are convenient and the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. I usually end up at the post office to take care of certified mail etc. The post office operates at standard US Postal Service speed - so I prefer to take care of business during the weekdays. Can get a little crowded on the weekends. read more

Employees at USPS Queen Anne are ASS LAZY!!!! They can't find a package in back room but I have proof a card of informed!!!

I will give zero star if I could. There was a black employee rudely shouted at me when I came in and said : we closed!! Sir! Look at the sign! Stupid ass, can't you update the yelp time? read more

I recently went to this post office a few weeks ago during the weekday and found one of the staff members, a young woman, extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I was anticipating this to be difficult trip as I don't often mail packages through the post office and often forget little details but she made it so easy and manageable. I was quite impressed and will definitely return for my post office needs because of her. read more

I've had a business PO Box there for 3-mos now and regularly receive oversize mail as well as ship from this location. Super friendly service! It's funny how there are so many complaints about this place. I was worried when I read the reviews before renting the box, but it's super convenient for me AND it has parking! Sure there's a line and some waiting, but you have to plan for it as you would with any other service. I'm assuming all the negative reviews are from people who also complain about traffic during rush hour or are still surprised there's a line at the DMV. read more

These guys not only delivered all my Christmas stuff on time [while every other shipping service tanked]; but Michelle helped me mail a huge box to Ethiopia and personally assited me with filling the right forms that somebody else gave me by mistake. Now my sister called from home and told me she's received everything [in less than a week!!!] and the Custom forms were so well done that the post office people back home didn't even hassle her. Thank you MICHELLE. You are not only beautiful but an amazing human being. Owe you one. A+++++++ Customer service. read more

My Roommate was verbally and nearly physically assaulted for checking to see if he had received a medical package in our apt building. A USPS delivery woman (a very short, old woman) came into the building and literally tore into him so badly we (and some of the other tenants who saw it happen did as well) decided to file a report with the Federal Mail Bureau. All he did was look at some packages that were left, completely unattended, at their usual spot in our "mail area" (we have no mail room) and the old woman tried to start a fight with him. It ended with her screaming at the top of her lungs that the entire building would no longer receive packages, as she STOLE the mail that she had just delivered. She called him every name in the book, several inches from his face, managing to even get her spit on his clothing. Witnesses were shocked and appalled. I can't believe this is the kind of service we get, only a few blocks from their office. We will avoid there services, and this old-woman for as long as we can :( read more

This Post office lobby closes at 3pm on Saturdays, though the posted hours on Yelp say 6pm- be aware :)

Don't get a PO Box here. The staff routinely puts the mail in the wrong boxes. Sometimes you might not receive an important letter, yet the staff is adamant that they do everything correctly. Some mail that you drop off here won't get delivered if there's a little snow out, and by not delivered I mean never delivered. read more

I have had good experiences at the Queen Anne Post Office in my 20 plus years of visiting it -- some friendly and fun postal workers -- but in the last couple of years, no. I think I may have gotten the same gal another reviewer experienced. I had a prepaid package that wouldn't fit in the box and so I politely stood in line several minutes, at least ten. When the customer at one of the windows stepped aside to fill out a form, I walked up and handed my package to the worker. That is it. I just had to hand it over. No work involved. 5 seconds. The worker said rather nastily "You should have waited until he was done. That was very rude!" WHAT? She was standing there twiddling her thumbs! The customer was busy to the side. I think my jaw dropped, but I left a little red-faced, since she said this in front of a crowd. This was my first encounter with her, but she has been consistently snippy, rude and condescending to me (and others) on other occasions, also. Other employees are usually bored and indifferent. This is not a fun place to go! I was pleased when they put in the self-mailing machine so I wouldn't have to stand in the long, slow lines, and be treated rudely -- and it also had the added convenience of being able to do my business in the middle of the night. But no more. I have found the PO locked in the evening after six now. This removed a big advantage of mailing via USPS, the convenience of anytime. This is a big disappointment. I suppose it is a security measure of some type, but I hope it is only temporary. Yes, I enjoy the convenience of the self-mailing machines, but have been frustrated by them, also. I mailed two identical packages one evening recently ... and received them back the next morning with "insufficient postage". I used the machine! I answered the questions truthfully! I bought my postage from the machine! What else could I have done? (It was something like 8 cents more due on each package.) The Queen Anne branch of the Post Office is the only branch convenient for me, but it is so unpleasant I avoid it whenever possible. I mail packages through other carriers and request that packages be mailed to me through other carriers, if possible. read more

I love this post office. It's on a shady street, right across from a busy bus stop, lovely. There was only a short line each of the three or four times I've been there. The employees at the counter know that you know all their obligatory questions already and waste no time with them beyond what they must. The store could use a self-serve print your postage machine/computer, but really I'm just lazy and could print it off my computer at home. In all I highly recommend this post office. read more
