This small town post office is really great. Great service every visit. It is my first pick if I have any postal needs. Albuquerque offices offer nothing but long wait lines. Often, when I walk in, there's no one at the counter, and I need to ring the bell for service. Someone usually promptly responds and sees to my transaction. For five years, I can say that the staff have been nothing but friendly and respectful. My mailbox is part of a community box where sometimes I get a slip for packages that are oversized. This post office is always good about taking my slip and quickly finding my package. I'm very pleased with my services from this office, and I see no need to seek out the competition. I will say there were problems at this location about five years ago, but I heard that they got a new postmaster. It's been smooth sailing ever since. read more

I was expecting a package that required a signature. I was home, waiting--but the delivery person couldn't even be bothered to ring the doorbell. No knock, no notice, nothing. Just a slip left behind like they were never really there. Now I have to drive to the post office because someone didn't want to do their job. This isn't just lazy--it's completely unprofessional. If you're not going to follow delivery instructions, why bother offering them? This has happened multiple times now, do your job. read more

Sandia Park PO has been my post office for 5 years. When I first started using this post office the staff were not the most helpful, however that has changed at least a year ago, maybe longer now. There is a new post master and staff who are all very pleasant, efficient, kind and helpful. I do think the amount of business has probably outgrown the size of their building. I have no expertise in staffing ratios for postal work, but with the population growth in the east mountains out sizing the building capacity and the increase in the volume of packages, I would not be surprised if they need more staff before all these new energetic pleasant and efficient staff get burned out. read more

Our letter carrier usually leaves a slip in our box if there is something to pick up at the post office. About a month ago he stopped doing that. Now we have no idea if there are packages waiting to be picked up. When you do show up they almost never deliver everything that is waiting for you there. read more

Great work by the staff keeping up with the demand of our little community. They are always Polite, very efficient, great customer service. I can't express my disdain for this place enough...let's just say I hope amazon switches and SOON...the less I have to deal with The better. Misdelivered packages frequently...lazy mail man who won't abide by the rule of bringing packages to the door if you're near a mailbox, rude as hell desk guy because I had to audacity to not tape my box before going there (which i sincerely apologized for up front). I had to go there to pick yet another package they were too lazy to deliver but had to get an ear full about it being my responsibility despite my apology...and right before I was serviced, an older lady was less prepared than I and he was patient and pleasant. So he clearly knows how to be polite, just chose not to since I'm a young male. He mouthed off to me that I'm wasting his time while 12 customers wait in line..the two seconds taping it took..and those 12 customers are likely there for the same reason I was ..the delivery guy doing the bare minimum so they have to come pick up what he's too lazy to deliver. I picked living in the East mountains knowing it's less than city life (septic system, long commutes etc). But this constant bullshit I could do without. read more

This postal office is totally incompetent. Continously mis-deliver mail & packages. I have gotten confirmation of packages being delivered with a time stamp and when I have checked my mailbox, the package wasn't there. When I have complained to the Post Master, she basically just takes down the tracking number and tells me she is going to call with the status. Of course, no phone call back. This is one of the very worst post offices I've had the displeasure of having to endure. Packages constantly are mis-delivered, misplaced, and noted as delivered when they have not been. At least twice a month or more this happens. A true hassle unless you like having to be a detective in search or lost or misplaced mail. Dismal service. read more

if i could give a negative star i would. awful customer service, constantly losing mail. even put mail in wrong boxes and gave a "oops not my fault" when confronted about it. open for 2 hours on saturday causing line out the door and round the building. ( for all of us people that have real jobs and cant get to post office on week days) making policy changes without posting them for everyone to see, multiple important documents rejected and return to sender. complete pain in the a$$!!!!! read more
