I was randomly at this location and needed to send some packages. Was there a line at 4:00pm? Yes. Were the employees tending to each customer with respect, care, and patience? Yes. I needed assistance with which service to use for mailing and the postal worker was very calm and kind when presenting options. I was missing some information and she even let me come back up to the counter and edit some things to make sure that my box got where it needed. If you do not mail packages often, you are not always familiar with the steps and options. I appreciated how they did not make me feel rushed or incompetent. Shoutout to Eryka for her help. Horrible website service as well I couldn't even submit a form for missing package and the USPS themself had no idea where my package was until it was delivered. This location is notorious for not updating shipping on packages when I drop them off at their counter for pre-labeled items. As an EBay seller, this location has lost me around 8 sales+merchandise because the buyer cancels when this USPS location doesn't scan/update packaging in a timely manner and then the item gets scanned in and shipped to the buyer anyway. Also, this location has just flat out lost a bunch of my packages as well. Front desk staff is completely unhelpful. Only ever have 1 station open even though there are 3 desks. Unreasonably long lines in the afternoon. Workers are rude and unhelpful.

Took time off work to be able to come to my passport appointment. Upon arrival the front desk told me the person in charge of passport appointments called out the entire week. She was very rude and came off aggressive. I was not notified that my appointment was canceled. Would not recommend this post office. read more

Not my usual post office, as I only come here to pick up packages my best friend sends me from Spain. Not the most pleasant USPS but it is mostly a 'behind the scenes' office, not like the one located in the shopping center. Once again, I am getting complaints from my eBay customers because this USPS failed to provide a tracking number for a ground advantage shipment. The incompetence is strong at this location. Will never be using them again. Unfortunately I have about 6 packages previously dropped off at this location. Let's see how many more of those 6 packages have issues. So far I have three complaints because they sent a local delivery across the country (has tracking) and two other shipments with NO TRACKING. Absolutely absurd. I had a great experience at this post office. So far I've only noticed three of the same employees. They are all so nice. I went in to get a PO Box. The first box they gave me was too tall for me and they were more than happy to help me find one that I could easily reach. I feel bad that this place has two stars on yelp, but it is a post office and a government service, don't blame the slowness because there are only two people working the counter. I have been to this post office a lot and didn't have a horrible experience until passport got involved. If I could give zero stars, absolutely would. We have come to this office three times during the walk-in hours for the passport and then turned away every single time. It clearly says on their website when the walk-in hours are which days they are, and for whatever reason, they are never properly staffed the people that work there are incredibly rude and self-centered, and don't understand the meaning of sympathy or hard work. I had one question and he told me I was interrupting when I was patiently waiting in line as he was helping a customer and he was the one who started asking me questions! Had a lovely experience going in to send out two packages that I prepackaged at home for some close friends in NY. Came here during 12 on a Friday (today's date that I am writing). I went in, unsure as it's been AGES since I sent anything out. Truth be told, the bf has been the one sending our my packages for me. I waited in line as I did not know what stickers to use. Benita - one of the mail office associates helped me out. As I was uncertain, she asked where I was sending it along with what type of shipping I wanted to pay for and what was covered. After answering her questions and confirming what type of shipping, she provided me with a label of addressing to and from. I filled it out and she helped another client during that time. After I finished, they were done too. Sent out my packages and also bought some stamps as I like to send out mail or cards :) Plus as I had a question about passport renewals, she also provided me with the form. This post office is only good for self service. I went in to drop off a package that was pre-taped. I had a prepaid USPS label that I needed to affix to the package and the man behind the counter told me they don't tape packages. That they don't have tape. Ummm, ok? There's no tape at the post office? He said I needed to buy tape, they only provide extra tape. I asked wouldn't this qualify as extra tape since the package is already taped closed. He said no. Other post offices have provided tape for me in the past. He disagreed with me! I wasn't asking to close up the package, just to adhere the shipping label. I just walked out. Terrible customer service. I'm not buying your tape. I'll go to the post office near my house next time. read more

Given it's a USPS I don't expect lightening fast speed from the employees. So if you can deal with somewhat slow work this place isn't bad. I have been here on multiple occasions and I have never been displeased. I don't know what the problem is with the lady working here today, June 7, 2022, @ 1:50 pm Tuesday. Me and my boyfriend check our mail everyday, once a week but one of our packages were on vacation hold. She had an attitude and said next time you don't check your mail we're returning it to the sender, like we didn't even know why it was happening and we were polite, but the customer service lady was just plain rude for what? As long as you avoid 1 particular employee here, your visit will be great! However, I have been to this location multiple times and am dreading my checkout process whenever this particular woman is the clerk. The most recent time, she asked me to confirm the address that I wrote down (as an example, 112 8th Ave S) to which I said "8th Avenue South" and repeated the zip. She insisted the zip code was wrong and that my friend who gave me her address was wrong. I crossed out the zip and put the one that the clerk told me to put. Once I left the store, I texted my friend and she said "no, our zip is the one you had first on there. The woman at the store is wrong". So, I had to walk back in and had a near verbal argument with the employee who told me I was wrong. She was typing it in the system as STREET, not "South" when the address clearly said "Ave S" and I even said out loud "Avenue South". She went as far as turning her screen around to show me and prove to me that I was wrong, yet I pointed out that she kept typing the address incorrectly. She never apologized or owned up. She just insisted "this is what my system says." When I told her that she was accepting street when it was avenue hence the different zip codes and that my friend WAS correct on her own address. read more

Worst Post Office I've experienced. Yes, the Post Office system has been on a decline for the last 2 decades and everyone seems to enjoy venting about their experience. I try my best to support the Post Office system as much as possible. I've been coming here a few times over the last 5+ years due to the convenient location to work. It's clean and everyone working here is nice, but will never express an ounce of energy to a line out the door. My problem is I tell the employee I need to get an envelope to a location by a specific date. They say no problem, charge me and it always arrives late. I paid for 3 day service and it took 7 days. If it's a risk, oversell me to make sure you can make the date! I don't think this is acceptable even for economy mail. I went in for a refund the other day out of principal with this now being the 2nd failure in a row. They have to get a manager. She tells me it's not guaranteed and the service I paid for doesn't do refunds. Why supply a customer a tracking # when you can't guarantee a date? I tell her I told the employee I need to get it there by that date and they told me no problem. I get a long lecture like I'm supposed to know the service more than her employee. I'd of paid 3 times the amount to get it there. When I have to pay extra to get worst service than dropping it in a mailbox, it's time to go to FedEx where I can get a guarantee. TIP: If you need postal service, drive the extra 5 minutes to the Bernardo Center Dr location. read more

I was informed that a postal worker at the RB location was tested positive for COVID19 and the SD Postmaster does not want to shut down the location for a deep cleaning. I would avoid going to this location by all means and would be weary of the mail that is processed here. read more

Scheduling of employees is a disaster. Folks on lunch during the busiest time. Nice, helpful staff under idiotic management.

Most employees are pretty rude. I came in around 5 minutes before they closed and they tried 3 separate times to discourage me into leaving. However one very kind employee noticed that I did come in before closing time and that I had been cut by a few individuals who had come in after me but received no ill treatment. Ageism at its best, oh well. I was helped that's the important thing, just don't come in I guess probably half an hour before closing time. I went to drop off my package at the counter and thought that I was good. Little did I know that I should have gotten a receipt for my drop off since there was no tracking update. I had to wonder if my package had ever been even accepted into the system of USPS for 5 days until it actually got a scan of being accepted at the delivery hub. I think this post office doesn't even bother to scan the packages as they are accepted. They also didn't bother to ask if i wanted an acceptance receipt. read more
