My mom and I visited the Roanoke post office on Monday August 31st at 2:02 p.m. two clerks were present. The clerk that was assisting my mom asked if my mom would like a tracking for the cards that contained gift cards in them. I told the clerk no, she only needs stamps. the clerk ignored me and put the sticker on one of the envelopes. I repeated again that she only needs stamps and to have the cards mailed. The clerk who is Caucasian seemed upset and began peeling the tracking sticker off of the envelope. I felt she was not happy that I told her stamps were only needed. I documented on my phone about her behavior and said that I believe she may tamper with the mail. As I suspected the cards were not delivered. On Friday 9/11/26 we went back to the post office and the clerk that assisted me knew why I was there and she said she will get the clerk (the Caucasian clerk that assisted my mom) She came out and when I asked her about the mail she denied having did anything and went and got her supervisor. He backed her up without even questioning her. The clerk was very smug because she was believed by her supervisor. I told her that tampering with mail is a federal office and I have since filed a complaint. My mom is a senior living on a fixed income and the cards and gift cards were for her great grandchildren who never received them. Definitely found the staff to be very polite and helpful here. It was not that busy, but even with a few people in line, they opened additional counters to help the people in the line. This location also sells mailing supplies too, as well as greeting cards. My only observation is that this location does not have a 24-hour self-service machine. If it did, it would be 5 stars in my book. BTW, we stopped in to mail some candy bought at the nearby Hey Sugar Candy Store (http://www.yelp.com/biz/hey-sugar-candy-store-roanoke) and the flat rate box worked out great. According to tracking, I should have received by 3:15. NEVER ARRIVED! At 4:30 spoke with woman at Roanoke Post office, she promised top call me back today. It is now after 6PM and guess what. SHE LIED. Did not call back. I took a day off to wait for this package and now the Post Office tracking says package available for pick up, to bad they close at 5PM. I had caught my carrier on Reed Street deliver my mail to the neighbor in front of our house... embarrassed the Caucasian heavy set mid height carrier , handed my packages to me, after I caught him , confronted him and took my packages , from him. This occurred two more times. On the third count , I was Very sick and was awaiting my medication that was supposed to be delivered on that same day. But Guess what, he delivered it elsewhere( as video of my complaint , clearly shows, the office manager, state that same carrier , delivered my package, somewhere on Reed Street... logged in as the neighbor in front of my house. So when my packages showed "delivered" on my iPhone message text, I got in my car and went to the post office . I had my iPhone on the whole time recording the post office manager share carrier logged the address as my neighbor across from my house ). So I have proof the post office saw my med. logged in as delivered one number away from my house on Reed Street. They called the male carrier and even said they would send over the same carrier to go back to the house , carrier logged in as " delivered." My husband too went over to the neighbors house but the unfriendly dishonest unkept neighbor denied any such package of ours, in being delivered to him. Therefore, on the same day, I saw my male, Caucasian, heavy set carrier and confronted him about his constant screw up. The response I got was ". So I screwed up. I ain't perfect. " The carrier was apathetic as %}%! So I went back to the post office and asked the same carrier be removed from my street. They accepted that request. But did not remove that same carrier as he continues to deliver the mail from the Street " Meadows Street to my house and I , in turn deliver the Meadows Street mail back to the lady living there. Still , the Roanoke Post office continues to tell me lies and utilizes the heavy set , Caucasian, male as their carrier for my street on Reed . Things have gotten worse, now now I am getting packages that belong to people on " Meadows Street" not just mail. I went to deliver one person's mail and as she opened her package up in front of me, we took note , the package contained her insulin needles that she'd been out of. The white heavy set Caucasian male , who carriers our street and a few other street.'s mail and packages or lack of , in my opinion has no business delivering anything , let alone our town's mails or packages. The post office is so apathetic , I've had to rectify ordering online at this point , go out of my way to have my packages personally picked up when possible. The town's detective , of Roanoke , even -last year had arranged a town meeting , at the Roanoke library, since so many people were and still are disgusted by the grotty service or lack there of in gaining correct service. Sadly, the town meeting , regarding the questionable post office continues to be problematic and shady. I just worry , some of our neighbors who rely on their medication delivery , as I once did, not gain their needed package. Best post office I've ever been to and I've lived a lot of places. They are friendly and so helpful. I've honestly received amazing customer service (like helping me to my car and helping me load multiple times) the kind of service and kindness that i (sadly) just don't expect from a USPS (after so many negative experiences). The post master is extremely helpful unfortunately the staff can't follow suit or even wanted to help. The lady was rude very short and after I explained the situation and that I sent my fiancé to pick up a package she just repeated so what do you want me to do to help you? Once again I explained that the postmaster told me to send a email with my fiancé information on her license and the package info so she could pick it up and immediately the lady just goes yea we arnt going to release the package to her the post master isn't here. It doesn't matter if you sent a email etc. wouldn't even try to work with me to verify anything or even try to call the post master nothing. This is one of my favorite locations. However, today, there was a lady who was so rude (never seen her before). I did not get her name but she was extremely quick to answer my questions and flat out did not care. I could not hear what she said regarding tape (I am legally deaf in my left ear). If I could give it zero stars I would. First, they didn't deliver my toll tag invoices for six months leading to egregious late fees. Then they lost a package that my recently deceased grandfather sent me. Now they are using COVID as an excuse to not do their job at all. I needed to receive my package today, as it was scheduled, for an important birthday tomorrow. I received a notice that, "the package was unable to be delivered." Interesting because I have been home all day. I call this abysmal location and was connected with an employee who I can only describe as having cold soup for brains and was told that the usps doesn't deliver to the front door. Doesn't deliver to the front door!?!? That's literally your one and only job. Pick up stuff, transport it, drop stuff off. That's it. Westlake (76262) Resident. While backing out of my private driveway, I arrived at my mailbox the same time as the USPS Driver 6/14/2019. The USPS driver stopped and motioned for me to continue out of my private driveway. Unfortunately, he motioned for to me to exit my private driveway because he wanted to use it as: 1. a turn around point for his deliveries; 2. 4x4 over my grass in the process; and 3. Drive over my rock-bed sending my erosion control rocks into the street. In the past I have complained (no avail) to the Roanoke, Texas USPS that the USPS driver Not Be Allowed To Use My Private Driveway, Or My Private Circle Driveway As Their Turn Around Egress; Do Not Subsequently 4x4 On My Property With The Mail-Truck as It Destroys My Bermuda Grass; And Do Not Drive Over My Rock Garden Tracking Debris Into The Street. read more

I give them a ZERO out of 5 stars. Worst delivery service ever. We get neighbors mail on the street over and sometimes from another neighborhood for 7 years now. It gets better then back to lazy and slothful. We get our mail at a certain time for about 2-3 months steady. Then,back to slothful & who knows what time of day? We go out serval time a day to check mail and its not there. It's been VERY late evening here lately. Packages are delayed significantly for DAYS when they are given to them from FedEx to be delivered by USPS. I give them a ZERO. And, it doesn't matter how people have complained over 7+ years... the same indolent people work there and don't care to improve the delivery service. read more

I'm not sure what is going on over there either- realized that I have not received a package that I ordered - so I tracked it. The merchant stated that it was out for delivery 4 weeks ago and that the business was closed. The business being closed for delivery is false- we are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. So I decided to call and see if it could be redelivered. I have been on hold over an hour. On hold for OVER an hour? This is Roanoke , TX. not NYC. They are difficult to reach by phone, they are always understaffed at the counters, which translates to unnecessarily long wait times, and they are horrible about getting packages to you on time. We have not been receiving our mail these last few weeks until 7 pm or later. It was not delivered at all last Saturday, November 29, 2014. The post office did finally deliver on Sunday, the 30th. When there was no mail delivery, yesterday, a phone call to the post office was made around 4 pm. We were told the carrier had left for the day and our mail was still at the post office and could be picked up there. They don't even deserve one star. This is the most ridiculous post office I've dealt with. I own an online shop so I'm always shipping, buy& selling items. These FOOLS lost 14+ packages that were supposed to arrive to my address. It took me three weeks before I could get any answers from their employees, and three weeks for me to reach the supervisor ( they don't answer calls) when I finally spoke to the supervisor over the phone I was given the impression that he would help me retrieve my packages. Shortly after I met with him at the post office to inquire on what he had found out regarding the matter. He was rude, he raised his voice at me & firmly told me the carrier had done her job& delivered my packages. that was all he could tell me. He didn't sympathize with my situation at all& stood by his employee. I understand their is some sort of comradery at the work place but clearly you wrongly defended your workers actions. My packages did not reach me, and you're carrier had been wrongly marking packages delivered when they had not in fact been delivered. All that money I lost due to their negligence& the supervisor didn't even offer a valid explanation or try to appease the situation. He even went so far as to allege that I was making the whole thing up. Ridiculous I couldn't talk sense into any of these idiots. A month or so after that incident, after which I received no refund or any of my packages. I had recently lost my debit card & was waiting for my new card to arrive in the mail. Out of fear of losing another thing in the mail I decided to put my mail on hold& pick it up. When I went to pick it up one of the employees let me know that there was no mail waiting for me which meant that the carrier either didn't receive the request to hold mail or had taken all the mail to deliver that day. He told me to go home and check the mail, it was either full or empty& if it was empty I should come back. I've had it with this post office. I ended purchasing a PO box at the grapevine post office (staff is more competent at this location). DO NOT RELY ON THIS STAFF THEY DON'T POSSESS THE SKILLS TO PROPERLY HANDLE SOMEONE'S MAIL. read more
