This place is the absolute pits! Every single person that works there is rude. They are so slow…read moreon anything they do. I ship all my UPS packages through Pirate Ship. All I do is drop them off like I've been doing for the past 5 years. I have a small business here in Randolph. They won't give you a receipt it was dropped off which makes me very nervous as there are some shady people hanging out in this place. And..EVERY SINGLE time I have sent a package to them I get a note from Pirate Ship It was measured wrong and it weighed more than what I paid for. They were taking about $5.00-$15.00 out daily. I ship packages every single day between UPS and USPS I never EVER have to pay extra from the USPS only this store! I called Pirate ship and they refunded every single dime this store took from me. Be careful if you are doing your own shipping and leaving it there. I think it's pretty shady they're the only ones that say my packages are more than what I paid for and the boxes are not measured correctly. I have a USPS postal scale. I tape measure every single box! It's maddening as it's the only place around me that takes packages and I have to drop them off here. Pirate ship is well aware of the situation now. Be very careful.

This post office is pretty good. Not the best, not the worst…read more The hours are pretty decent. They just recently cut back on staff though, so you're more than likely going to be in a huge line if you go during their closing hour on busy days. The will only have one person working the front. The staff is very informed all aspects of customs forms, what needs to be signed, paypal discounts, ebay, just dropping off prepaid packages and such. It's a very small post office for a very small town. Staff is very nice if you are nice to them and they don't ask a lot of private questions about your packages no matter how many years you've been going there. ::Steps away from computer to stuff human limbs with black tar heroin, and then stuffs into box:: ::wipes sweat from forehead:: Anyway. What was I saying? Ah yes, one of the only downsides besides funding cuts for staff is the postmaster being a little rude if you ever have to talk to him, almost like an old general living out his retirement in any branch of the government he could snap up. Where he can be in control; At night lighting up his cigar, drinking a glass of whiskey, while his one gay son is too scared to come out of the closet and his daughter still regrets that he didn't come to her wedding because her husband-to-be was Indian. During the day though the postmaster feels like he's stopping terrorists in their tracks with their anthrax packages and bombs. (I only had like a 2 second convo with the guy, all of this is false. He was a little stern though.) and second downside is the way they measure boxes. I ship the same sized box, one staff member always will ship it internationally for me, and the other one always won't. It's the way they measure the box, it's rectangular and won't fit the dimension max for girth going to say... Australia, but if you flip the box around and measure it the OTHER way then it will. So one worker understands this problem and will measure it the way that makes it work and bla bla bla the other doesn't. i DIGRESS THIS POST OFFICE IS A-OK.

However, what should have been a short weather-related delay turned into several additional days, resulting in extra hotel stays and other unexpected expenses. The representative at the UPS Store on Grove Street in Braintree went above and beyond to help us. He took the time to file a claim on our behalf and guided us through the entire process. Although the initial weather-related delay was considered an "Act of God" and wasn't covered, he recognized that the additional delays were not weather-related and should be reimbursed. Yesterday, we received a check because our claim was approved! Exceptional customer service is hard to find these days, but this UPS Store proved that it still exists. We are incredibly grateful for the professionalism, persistence, and genuine concern shown to us throughout the process. Thank you for turning a very frustrating situation into a positive experience.

Considerations also given to the fact that I happened to run this errand on this day of December, the very deadline to send parcels (so I've heard while in line). If the website doesn't take THREE weeks to ship out stamps, I wouldn't be here. If there wasn't a pandemic, I would have gone home and come back another day (instead of heading out more than I need to). And I specifically by-pass my own town's P.O. knowing it is slow, only to come here to find the line was equally long. Well at least there is a tad more room at this branch for people to swing around while social distancing. More than 30 minutes later (and now at closing time), I got my turn. What else, they ran out of international stamps, AND the loose stamps that could add up to the same postage. The saving grace is that the gentleman didn't just stand and stare at me, but instead found solutions proactively. I ended up having to overpay a bit for each stamp (and I ordered 40+), but a few dollars is not a big loss compared to having to make another trip for another 30-min line. Next year, I'll make a reminder to order stamps before Thanksgiving.
