I was going through my check-in posts this morning and realized that my check-in for this post office needed an update, so here we go.... I don't really come to this post office much, but it was the nearest location since I was on Federal Highway taking care of some errands. I was fortunate to get a parking spot right in front of the post office. All I had was one postage stamp envelope to mail out. I could have simply place the envelope in the mail drop box and be on my merry way, but I wasn't in a rush and I don't mind personally handing my mail to an employee to be sent out There were two female employees behind the counter, and with the exception of two people receiving service, the place was practically empty. I approached one of the female employees when she became available, handed her the envelope, and was on my way out once she stamped the envelope. I'm not sure when I'll return to this location, but if it's convenient for me I will come. Sorry I didn't take any updated pics. read more

Don't know where to start, needed two inches of tape and the girl working the counter made me buy a roll for $3.99, just needed 2 inches. She was on the phone the whole time. Three people in front of me, took a half hour. Can tell employees don't care. Not just one employee all employees. At the end you rate them by smiley faces, every person including me gave a frowning face. I said good bye and she gave me a frowning face. Fed ex from now on, counter lady wouldn't even let me borrow scissors to help get the old tape off. Worst post office ever! read more

The employees at this post office are consistently rude and unhelpful. They often go out of their way to avoid providing service and will send you home for the smallest of reasons. All reviews posted here are a true representation of the Pompano Beach Location. Guaranteed the customers walking into this location is declining daily. We have a business and utilize several post offices daily for our shipping needs. The Pompano Beach location is the closest to our business. This location is by far the worst at customer service! The workers are very disrespectful and seem to make a conscious effort to discourage customers from coming back. Even the package dropoff box is very small and fills up very quickly. The workers have said that they are happy with the small dropoff box because having the large dropoff bins that were out previously made their job alot harder. Employees at this branch don't seem very well trained and get confused about common USPS services. A couple of them seem to have open and unprompted disdain for customers as well. One of the carriers from this location often seem to misplace the mail of our neighbors' into our box. Ive even seen one regularly watching videos on her phone while she delivers the mail. The whole branch seems to be a decent example of inefficient expenditure of tax revenue. read more

I have been here several times and I can't remember one time that was a decent experience. This last time was just as bad. USPS POMPANO BCH ATLANTIC BLVD SHUTS DOWN COUNTER The USPS Pompano Beach office on Atlantic Blvd has awful service. On June 20, 2024 more than a dozen folks who waited in line for 30 minutes as only one person was handling the counter. The manager came out from her office every to minutes see if anyone had a pickup. The one counter person had been working since 4 am and it was now 3 pm. The manager, of course, did not help at the counter at all. Then the manager announced the counter service was closed due to lack of personnel. I really don't expect anything but a continued decline of basic services in what in many ways seems to be a collapsing USA. read more

This is the main "downtown" office for Pompano Beach. It's been here quite awhile. Before they build a new post office building on Atlantic Boulevard and Powerline, this is where we'd come -- and where you had to come -- to pick up special mail. They have a bank of mailboxes; and a small inside area. Around the holidays the line snakes around the counter areas and usually goes outside the doors into the mailbox area. I never noticed before, but they've redone the windows over the years -- and they have pull down hurricane shutters. Parking can sometimes be a challenge. There's only parking on the street in front and a couple spaces along the east side of the building. Don't park in the little lot to the west of the building -- that is reserved for the company there. In case you don't want to go inside -- and just need to drop off a letter, there is a mail drop box around the corner. People line up here during tax season, too. But usually it's fairly empty -- except for business folks sending out invoices. read more

Absolutely terrible. One of the workers came out to yelled at me for putting my package in the mail slot. She told me I should have left it on the counter because the package slot was blocked. I did attempt to put it in the package mailbox. I was Not leaving a package on the counter unattended and how would I know to do that. Everything starting with the inaccessibility on the street, lack of parking, always the longest line in the world, everyone t that works there seems to truly HATE their job. The main area is clean but the employees are very unprofessional. While there, the employees made jokes about the customers they interacted with. They were also not very helpful. I went to the counter 3 times and left without being properly assisted. Although, I've only been to the post office in NYC, I thought it was safe to assume there would be a more uniformed approach to how things are done. These people are very DISHONEST . I went there on Thursday to mail a RETURN package, one that a label was done for and taped on box. Paid $14 for the 2+lbs package and then Friday evening (approximately 24 hrs after) the empty box was in my mailbox. Now tell me how would. package return to me so quickly after I verify address and all with teller # 33. Went there today to query why did this happen and I was told that clearly mailing label which is only a day old was either misplaced or damaged and I'm to do a claim online. Now if this were couple days or a week or when it reached destination postal service I could probably understand, but less than 24 hrs. I think these people are opening packages and taking out things and then telling people to submit claim - listen, for those who are doing this, remember your conscience and answering to GOD. So dishonest. Its sad that when I'm expressing my concern , all I can be told is "That's USPS for you," Now after looking on YElP, this is clearly a concern for some who use this location. read more

Unbelievable, this PO is supposed to be open Saturdays at 10am. Came in at 10:40am a line of people but PO not staffed. Apparently employees of this PO enjoy sleeping in. Ridiculous!!! The USPS should be hiring reliable employees. read more

Ahhhh the post office, what can I say... Long lines and clerks that don't give a crap. Free envelopes and boxes for their more expensive shipping services, so they have that going for them. There are limited parking spaces in front of the office so if they are all taken, you know it's going to be busy. read more

I've lived in Pompano for 6 years and have had nothing but pleasant experiences here. The women working the counter sometimes seem tired or frustrated which is understandable considering there's never more than 2 working since Covid. They're obviously understaffed and most likely overworked but I have to say that in my experience they've always taken their time to deliver whatever service I'm needing, particularly the few occasions when I've had issues receiving packages. Their computer systems are often running slow but these women aren't slacking, the system is. Shame on our government for sending so much money overseas to other countries while our own pillars of society are suffering. Shoutout to Patrikia, who greets customers by name whenever I see her in there, and takes her time to help resolve issues regardless of lines and unnecessary attitudes from other patrons. read more

Although she gave be a correct information , she doubt about my financial ability to pay for a money order and even requested my Id to confere with my debit card. In Pompano Beach Florida, 33060-8925, mail delivery service is TERRIBLE, at BEST. Mills has not been delivered on time, or at all in some instances. Seems that AFTER I filed a complaint, MAIL DELIVERY SERVICE GOT EVEN WORSE !!. So in my experience, it most certainly seems as if retribution is USPS answer to complaints. Will there ever be a cure for laziness at the Pompano Beach Postal Service delivery ?, only when you replace lazy, again I live on NE. 39th St. in Pompano Beach Florida. the same woman who's been delivering mail continues to leave my mailbox open., I have posted on my gate door with the emblem of every delivery service to deliver my packages to my front door. but No she's too lazy to do that. She drops it just inside my gate door where inches away from my sidewalk. anybody can open it and take my package. She delivers my neighbors mail in my mailbox so that I can go and deliver it to them, it doesn't help for somebody to follow her through her route because ,I've seen that before. ABSOLUTELY NO RESOLVE..they have lost 2 bills in a matter of 45 days now... Got a call from a postmaster (im assuming pompano beach location) who said he wasnt going to reply to lost mail calls anymore and that he hates the scanning system even telling me the letters are scanned in washington HUH...the woman handling my case said they were scanned in florida... Pomp post office is backing out of their responsibilities...this is a federal problem. my mail is supposed to come to me not "be sent to hawaii" as the post master on the phone said "could" happen. Was out of town for a few weeks and came back to my mailbox having a note saying my box was pulled. No problem it made sense so I tried giving them a call and could not get through to anybody for about 2 hours of calling. Terribly ran in past month lost my package that was out to my house for delivery never got it and it was never scanned back in, watch mail lady drive right by when my informed delivery tells me I have 2 pieces of mail for that day, and informed delivery says I have something from Dept of treasury for mail but never gets delivered and they have no answers to why it wasn't in my mail. Ana is by far the rudest and least helpful person I've ever dealt with. Her lack of customer service boggles my mind on how she still has a job. I came in, packaged my box up, tape and label ready to go. I have been here multiple times and I've learned you need to have your package ready or you have to wait in line again. Got up there and because I used the wrong tape, I needed to go back to my office and reprint a label and use the correct tape. She didn't give me any other option or try to help me. Her tone was beyond rude and careless. She told me to step out of line if I wanted to speak with the supervisor. Stood there for 10 minutes. She never alerted anyone. I will drive out of my way to avoid this location. And will def spread the word so friends of mine won't have the same problem. read more

I wish I could give them minus stars. Like all the others I am appalled at the horrible service. Delivery is even worse. I have had several packages lost. Many mailings delivered to the wrong address.I didn't even receive the one from the Property Appraiser a couple of years ago so I lost my Senior low income deduction from my tax. He explained the type of shipping that was required and the specific type of box I needed. He even taped up the box.
